Doable even if you're not in the group that killed him - when he dies he drops a container on the ground, usable by all who're on the quest.

We did all the chain tonight without any tank class whatsoever (i.e. warrior, pally, feral druid)

Basically, we were 2 hunters, 2 resto druids, and sometimes a priest or a rogue depending of the quest we were on. So, one of the hunters was a BM-specced, and his pet tanked the whole chain, with good heals. Frankly, i was surprised how easy it was. I was the second hunter, so if it happened the pet died toward the end, I would move forward and tank. Mail armor ftw!

Tank and spank is the strat btw. And if someone dies, rez him quickly because the chest despawn fast (1-2 minutes)

This is part of the quest chain to open up the Ogri'la daily quests. You have to kill five different elite Sons of Gruul. They are VERY tough and you must have a proper 5-man party to handle them (Tank, Healer, 3 DPS). You might even want to bring along some extra people that can help out of party.

We did this with 2 prep-rogues and 1 disc-priest, here's our strategy:

1 rogue starts tanking while the other rogue is doing a bit less dmg to keep the aggro on the tanking rogue
the rogue should not pop evasion at first, start with pain surpression than evasion -> prep -> evasion -> vanish, so that the other rogue will get the aggro and tanks the boss.
now the second tanking rogue needs to do the evasion circle first because pain surpression is still on CD

We did this strategy on all 3 ogres and there was no need for the second pain surpression but it was available

Duo'd w/ high 60s rogue & afflic lock, stun/Exhaustion kited him to Mok'Nathal Village, then kited him around the village huts till Curses and rogue dps killed him. Stupid Mok'Nathal orcs didn't help. Was a pain, took a while, but doable.

Maggoc paths from about the 10 O'clock position on the road to about 5 O'Clock or 67 73, where he turns around and goes back. I'd suggest finding him or just picking a spot and clearing the mobs. Then when he comes you're set. Not that hard, not stunnable it's the random mobs that would fould you up.

Anyone can loot the chest after it drops, so I did all of the Gronn quests by gathering three full groups. Not a true 15 man raid because the quests can't be raided, but it worked the same way and it doesn't matter which group taps the Gronn. It was cool to see 15 man raid mounted and stalking Maggoc from the air, looking for a place for him to die. XD

Maggoc carries a treasure chest with him at all times. Prove to me that he has been slain by bringing me his precious chest. Feel free to keep whatever you find within it.

On the Razor Ridge, above and to the southeast, Maggoc patrols. His father assigned him as the warden of the eastern mountain range, and he revels in terrorizing any creature that gets in his way.

As a son of Gruul, he must be done away with if my clan is to survive. That's where you come in.

Maggoc carries a treasure chest with him at all times. Prove to me that he has been slain by bringing me his precious chest. Feel free to keep whatever you find within it.
