Once you use the book, multiple adds will spawn over time. They will try to interrupt the "casting". They are ot tough, about 7k hp each. For our group, after about 2min, Skulloc finally spawned and the fight was about the same as previous mini boss. After death, loot his "soul".

After that,they send you to the Ogri'la (new faction)

The ghost mobs are immune to all forms of fear with the exception of the book provided by the quest. Set up a use rotation with your group as everybody should have the book.

When no attackers near the altar, hammer down whatever ghost is nearby. Once more than one mob has rushed the altar, use the book to fear them away. Watch for clusters of casters who can be easily disrupted by any AOE ability (as a warrior I used demoralizing and thunderclap), although if you get 5 or 6 of them on you, a book use will need to be in the pipe before they wear you down.

After keeping them in chaos for 2 minutes, Skulloc will become fully formed on the hilltop above you. You will be out of combat for a short time, so bandage and drink quickly and engage him.

No special abilities on Skulloc that we noticed, just tank & spank. The only danger is being down on health/mana from the prelude event.

In the event that some other group thinks they're going to scrooge you by tapping skulloc before you're ready, no fears. The object dropped can be looted by anyone after he's dead.

He banished our Rogue and also put Corruption on them during the fight, but otherwise seemed like normal tank and spank

Make sure to mingle with your new subjects after completing this quest.

They say a lot of hilarious things. When you get near, they face you and kneel down.

Best of all is if you blow them a kiss.

Also, one of them has a quest for you.

I've been there for 4 kills now, not the the group, however engaged in combat with him, and it still wont let me loot or click the soul when he dies. I've made sure I'm on the quest, everythings in order, but nothing. I believe they fixed it, but its weird because I used the loot from other parties for all the others in this chain.

EDIT: After the 5th kill, I was at first still unable to loot it, so was about to call it quits when I highlighted it and was able to click o.O So stick around and keep trying if you find yourself unable

The ghosts are easy. We had the tank & dps/cc arranged in a circle around the altar, picking one or two and taking them down as they spawned. If anyone got into trouble they just used their book.

The healer stood on the altar and used the book to fear any who got too close, while also doing what (very little) healing needed to be done. Keeping the healer in this role also saves more of their mana for the main fight (just in case they miss their chance to drink between stages).

Skulloc was a pretty straight-forward tank & spank.

13g is the amount you would get if you could still earn XP from the completion. Because at level 70 you can't earn XP, you get more Gold, i.e. the 24g 60s you got.

The listing above is technically correct. And bare in mind, level 70 won't be the maximum achievable level for ever.

Once you complete the quest the ogres in blade's edge will no longer be hostile to you.

This is part of the quest chain to open up the Ogri'la daily quests. You have to kill five different elite Sons of Gruul. They are VERY tough and you must have a proper 5-man party to handle them (Tank, Healer, 3 DPS). You might even want to bring along some extra people that can help out of party.

Upon the quest completion Mog'dorg yells: All hail, <name>, the new King of the ogres!!!" and a lot of ogres come to have a party with some free buzz. As long as you walk among them the ones near you do kneel. Don't miss the fun!

After completing the quest, your are crowned Ogre King/Queen (depending on character gender) and a large amount of Ogres bow to you. try doing different emotes on them, for example, if you /kiss one, it says "Aw, me not think it work out between us."

1 hunter bm, 1 resto shammy and 1 warrior all kara geared
managed to get him down but the shammy and warrior died right after he fell

I tell the emotes where the ogres will response.

/dance - they start to dance with you
/kiss - "Aw, me not think it work out between us."
/point - "What me do wrong, my king?"
/roar - they roar back
/wave - they wave back

we did this three times and both each time had weird problems looting the skull, it kept saying 'out of range' for all of us. relogging didn't help either. eventually after the third kill we were able to find a spot where we could stand and loot it.

it might help to pull him off his little hill if youre having the same trouble, we had him on the flat ground on the last attempt where we were able to loot it.

What I did as a priest was stand on the altar and the second I saw a ghost about to spawn I hit it with rank 1 sw:p. This gets their aggro before they fully spawn causing them to run to you instead of attacking the altar. Didn't even need the book because I'd just dot and my group killed as they ran to me.

We noticed a small change tonight, but Skulloc appears to be summoning adds during his phase now. Approximately 3 ogres per cast with about a 20-30 second delay between groups.

I'm not sure if this is intended behavior or not, but I do not recall him doing this on any previous attempt I've been a part of.

Skulloc does not despawn if you wipe after he attacks, at least not for a couple of minutes. So if you wipe, run quickly down to buff/drink up and try again with full mana.

Once Skulloc runs out of mana he seems to stop summoning ghost adds, it might be after a certain number of summons though, had no opportunity to verify it was due to him getting low on mana. He has a fairly small mana pool so draining him, unless hes immune, should be quick work.

Unfortunately those who missed this the first couple of weeks will have trouble "piggybacking" with a group who is doing it. Because it seems nobody is doing it now. You have to get extremely lucky to find anyone doing this quest. I sat at one quest area for an hour and a half during peak hours one day and saw only one other player come by. It's also tough finding groups to do it unless you are a tank or healer.

This quest is bugged. I have done it 5 times in the last 3 days and always get the message , "you are to far away to loot". Noone in my groups has been able to loot it. We petitioned and were told "it's a known issue , try again later".

59 , 23 is the summon, use your book to fear mobs away from the symbol. Till the big guy wakes up or something. Or you can wait till some other party does it and NINJA the item. :)

This whole quest line, as you probably know by now, when the mob dies a lootable object spawns. Anyone can loot it in the group or not- you just need the quest.

Just hang out at the place if you can't find a group. Usually a guild or opposite faction shows up and you can still loot the object. They usually sppreciate the extra help too. The 5 mans were wiping and without me there as a 6th they'd been out of luck too.

This quest works much like the quests to shut down the manaforges in Netherstorm. After one of the group reads from the Grimoire, the soulgrinder object appears at the alter. Ghost ogre mobs will spawn and attempt to deactivate the soulgrinder, but they have low HP and are easy to kill. Eventually Skulloc will fully spawn, and the ghost adds will all disappear. Then kill Skulloc like the other Gronns in the quest line. I did this with three 5 man groups so it went very easy and all were able to loot and complete quest on first try.

This is at the Alter,

Once you summon you will be faced with a dozen or so ghost form orges that are mostly spellcasters, down them then soulgrinder appears, Typical Tank and spank, Suggestions, Casters save your mana from killing the ghost form ogres, to help down the Soulgrinder.

Anyone can collect the soul once the mob is dead. I found a group of 4 doing the quest (they barely started) and they completely ignored me when I asked if I could join. I stuck around to watch and I was able to loot it :)

Retrieve Skulloc's Soul and deliver it to Mog'dorg the Wizened atop the tower at the Circle of Blood in the Blade's Edge Mountains.

Descrizione

The grimoire is the key to Skulloc's downfall.

Read aloud from the book at Soulgrinder's Barrow to initiate the ritual. An object known as the Soulgrinder will appear, as well as Skulloc's ghostly victims, who will try to destroy it. You must keep them from doing so long enough to force Skulloc fully into the world.

Find the barrow by heading north through the Daggermaw Canyon on the other side of the Circle of Blood. It is on the right side before Gruul's Lair.

Bring back Skulloc's soul.
