This was once an old pre-TBC faction where we would get reputation for it from a repeatable quest and some other quests in Hinterlands. The only thing we could get from it at that time was discounts on repairs.

When TBC came the ability to get reputation to this faction was removed since some of this faction moved to Outlands, becoming the ones that would teach the flying skill to Alliance.

And now with Cataclysm this faction is again obtainable!

This faction is located in the Twilight Highlands. This is an Alliance only faction. The Horde equivelant is The Dragonmaw Clan. During normal questing in the zone you will probably get very close to Honored. The quartermaster for this faction is located in Thundermar.

There are 5 different daily quests you can do to increase your reputation with this faction.
Beer run worth 250 reputation and 13 gold, 15 silver and 50 copper.
Fight Like a Wildhammer worth 250 reputation and 13 gold, 15 silver and 50 copper.
Keeping the Dragonmaw at Bay worth 250 reputation and 13 gold, 15 silver and 50 copper.
Never Leave a Dinner behind worth 250 reputation and 13 gold, 15 silver and 50 copper.
Warlord Halthar is Back worth 350 reputation and 18 gold.

The above reputation values are assuming you don't get any reputation bonuses from racials, guilds, seasonal buffs and other fancy stuff.
The above gold values are assuming you are at the level cap, which is level 85.
It seems that there are no random daily quests (a quest that is randomly picked from a list of possible quests each day).

Ofcourse the Wildhammer Clan also has a tabard you can buy at friendly, which you can use in dungeons to gain reputation.

This appears to be the worst faction for hunters. If you have 2200 JP to buy the helm, this is probably the last faction you want to grind rep with.

DPS casters on the hand, should benefit from rewards at revered and exalted with wildhammer at early (new 85, some heroics) stage of the game, similar to earthring and ramkahen.

Gotta love the Shire. Houses with grass on roofs, with burrows in back of them, with relatively small people living inside who like to feast and drink. I'm in love with Wildhammer dwarves!

It's a pity that we can't get real Stormhammer for reputation, but we can't have all we dream of, can we?

Back when I was on Bloodhoof in a guild called the Allied Merchant Company, we had a paladin named Tyrionii that ground this faction to exalted in vanilla wow. We thought he was crazy at the time, but he was certain that the rumoured flying mounts were coming from this faction.

When TBC hit, blizz removed the faction completely from the game and anyone could buy flying. So all those hours were gone without even so much as a "feat of strength" (which, of course, still wasn't part of the game back then).

It is interesting to see that the Wildhammer clan are back with Cata... and of course, when I saw that I immediately thought of Tyrionii and his having to grind the rep once again to exalted (if he's still playing that is... I'm two servers removed from Bloodhoof now, and I can see through the armory that Tyrionii is stuck at level 80.)

Completing all the quests in Twilight Highlands will get you near Honored rep (just over Honored if you have racial and guild bonus). So there is a lot of dailies and dungeon grinding if you want to get Exalted. Don't expect quests to give out tons of rep like Hyjal :P

I want all the rep I grinded in vanilla back, that was so much work and they just stole it without giving anything back >.<

For the five dailies the base rep is 1350 per day, plus whatever bonus you may get in the guild. When I was done with the quests in the zone, I was about 1100 points past honored toward revered (mostly with 10% guild bonus).

Is it correct that you can enter the hinterlands on lvl 84? Is it worth doing all the q's and wearing the tabard for the stuff the qmaster sells? Because for a mage the arcanum is not interessting..

The Wildhammer dwarves are known for their near-reckless courage as well as their unsurpassed gryphon-riding skills. After losing their home of Grim Batol to a Dark Iron Curse, they've spread their dwellings around the Twilight Highlands.
