I love this axe on my 49 Shaman. You should be able to pick it up for a pretty decent price. The attack speed is really nice and it works great when dual wielding with Frostbrand.

If you are determined to have a great set of melee weapons on your hunter, I highly suggest these. The stats are great for hunters, and the dps is pretty solid as well. These will most likely last you up until the bone slicing hatchets, if not, they're still far worth it. Screw the phantom blade and kang. I see too many hunters with those, and the stats on those aren't even worth it, or even suited to a hunter for that matter. Invest in two of the Rin'ji axes, they won't disappoint (or shouldn't).

This is easily one of the best 1h weapons you can get at its level. Its an amazing main hand at 48, and your going to be hard pressed to find a nicer off hand until the mid 50s.

Great offhand for a DW shaman in the 40-49 bracket, though I wouldn't mainhand it. Great stats and DPS though, probably ideal for a fury warrior.

If you want a bit more DPS for an offhander, but don't mind the agility loss, grab a Lifeforce Dirk from the Hakkar (Sunken Temple) questline. It hits just about as hard but has a faster speed, plus retains the 11 stamina. Best of all, that weapon is free whereas I've seen this go for up to 50G in the AH.

Going by numbers, for a level 49 hunter twink, 2 of these with 20 agility would be slightly better then a stoneraven.

2 more agility and 6 more stamina, while losing some AP , and costing a bit more but thats what being a twink is all about... getting the best gear possible :)

This is a nice weapon for any melee class, however the fast attack speed and relatively high stamina makes it especially nice, if not ideal, for tanking pre-Stratholme.

This is a post not about the axe stats. In the Hinterlands there is a troll named Rin'ji. he is a prison of the high elfs and duing his escort quest he tells you that he lost his axe. Guess it thats why it's a random world drop :D

This is a decent MH weapon for an Orc Enhance Shaman that isn't doing much PvP. While it is pretty fast so WF hits will not be the strongest, you will get 5 expertise on Stormstrike, WF hits, and white attacks.

I picked this up in Silithus...I'm a level 56 hunter and after reading these comments it sounds like I should keep it...However the weapon I have now I think is better. Right now I have the Beastkiller... Which should I keep? and how much does the Axe of Rin'Ji go for in AH?

I've twinked up for lvl 49 BG on my Enhnacement Shaman just for some kicks. This weapon is incredible, particularly for duel wielders. I use it with the slower but simarly statted Viking Warhammer (+11 Stam +5 Strength). I slapped a fiery on it and hopped to it. I have been topping the charts in damage done nearly every battle EVEN THOUGH it's a big no-no for a enh shammy to have a faster off-hand than main hand. If you can get your hands on two then all the better.

For any class this is one of the best and highest DPS weapons below 50 you'll get your hands on. Also it's a safe buy. No chance on hit stuff means no worrying about rare procs or dumb luck. If you really want CoH enchant the beast. You have a reliable, powerful, and very cool looking weapon. If you find this buy it!

Got this off a Rotting Cadaver while grinding in the Western plaguelands last night.

I am trying to decide between dual wielding these with +15 agility enchants and slapping +35 agility onto the epic Glowing Brightwood Staff; for 49 bracket twink of course.

In summary; dual wielding these would give:

40 agility and 22 stamina

Glowing Brightwood Staff would give:

35 agility; 15 stamina; 29 intellect

The damage range on the staff is huge!

Or, using the PvP dagger and a single Axe gives:

46 agility and 16 stamina

Well thought out comments only please, too many noobs see staff and say its automatically bad because its a staff. I want to know about the stat difference, 5 agility and 7 stamina versus 29 intellect; and about the melee moments that occur in PvP. Being able to get in one big whack from the staff on occasion seems quite nice?

Got this from outside of Dire Maul instance. lvl 52 Ogre on the walls outide the main building. I was happy enough farming runecloth.

I was going to keep it but my warrior isn't specced for axes and I needed the money.

Just sold it for 65 Gold... I think we both got a good deal. It may well be resold at a higher price.. seeing other blues priced at 100 and 200G (Searing blades)

also in this room, 3 other BoE and BoP blues were found in the chests, I highly reccomend coming here on a high level 70 rogue to get these boxes.

Those axes would be really nice for a fury warrior, but at lvl 42 once you are able to get Mortal Strike Arms warriors are just plain out better than fury warriors. IF you are buying these weapons for 5G each or 7G each or what ever then save up like 14 more gold and buy a nice blue 2-handed axe and go for polaxe specialization and you shouldn't ever lose to any fury warriors...if u know how to play a warrior

I brought 2 of these from ah for my enhance shaman at lv49, was apprehensive due to my last weapon having a strength increase well this one didn't, but the crit bonus plus the stamina increase really makes duel wielding these a great bonus.
I'm thinking for getting weapon damage enchant put on them both.

I have been waiting on this for sometime. I had one I bought when I was lvl 40 but never seen another for sometime until this morning. I had these axes with my original hunter 2 years ago. These axes are great and being a hunter aka not a melee hunter because that is insane I am adding agility to these bad boys and pwning in in the pvp world.

And on top of that using a sharpening stone would be great to add +4 to each these toys for an hour.

Have two of these with Crusader enchant for my level 50 warrior (arms specs). Love the speed, but the damage is just too low on higher level mobs. Lord Alexanders Battleaxe - allso with Crusader is getting faster kills by far for me, using mortal strike and slam. But reading all the comments here - I think people sometimes forget that this is a game - and having fun without "the biggest and best stats ever" -is actually possible :O

I bought it to replace the Claw of Celebras as an off-hand dual wield weapon -- little did I know that it couldn't measure up!

It would have been great before I got the Tooth of Eranikus. I actually wanted to buy it before then, but never found it at the right time and price.

DW weilding this at lvl 55 still(always got dense sharpening on them though). Got them both for under 20 G each on Maelstrom at lvl 48. Have fire on one and steel weapon chain on the other. One of the coolest looking DW axes I would say. After I got them I pwned. Recommended to Fury specced warrior cuz they are fairly cheap. Not a replacement for Dawn's Edge but the stamina is nice too.

I wanted to get my hands on one Axe of Rin'Ji for a while, but had neither the luck nor the time to grind. And previous day I happened to one in AH which had 20g bid but no buyout. Knowing my luck in pursuing items on AH, I bid anyways. Next day, when I logged in, I saw that I was outbid on the Axe, and the bid value was 31g. But there was another Axe of Rin'ji with 30g bid ana 40g buyout. I bid on the newly added item but seeing another bid right after I bid I decided to buy it. There goes my hard earned 40g. But I had an Axe of Rin'Ji :)
Later, I saw that the other Axe of Rin'Ji was on Short time left and with 33g bid. I bid just out of curiosity and with hopes that if I win that one, I can sell for 45g and maybe win my losses back :) And lo! I won the second one. Seeing two Axe of Rin'Ji's in my inventory changed my heart and my mind. To hell with gold! I now wield TWO Axe of Rin'Ji's (Dual Wield) and everyone passing me just comes back to check if they saw true :)
I think I earned these babies after 48 levels of frustration for not having a decent weapon (except from quest rewards)
Just wanted to share, I hope I didn't bore anyone with this much writing :)

a couple of weeks ago, there was a glut of these on the eredar AH - i got one at 20g buyout, next day unexpectedly got another at 19g bid. tried to sell the second for a week or so, then gave up and started dual wielding.

they're back up to 35-45g now :)

i'm a 51 hunter. and yes, people come up to me all the time, stand still for a few seconds, and say "nice axes man!"

Duel Wielding these with fiery on both. i am now suddenly doubleing my HKs gained in BattleGrounds. all it took was a switch from Bonechewer 2H axe to Axe of Rin'Ji duel wielded with fiery. seriously i cant get over how fast im killing those damn orcs and tuaren. now i now why people hate lvl 40's in the lvl 40-49 BG's cuz the 49's can own them in under 5 seconds.
