This item can be confusing to most people.. rogues love it for encounters such as Patchwerk where DPS is king and there is no chance you can pull agro off the warriors. Supposidly it causes high agro.

this procs alot. also, for warriors...if you whirlwind, it has a chance to proc on every target you hit with your whirlwind. so you can get 4 procs in 1 whirlwind. ive tried it with only a 2h. will try it duel wielding and see if it can proc all 6 with 1 whirlwind (since ww with dw hits 4 people twice).

Interesting thing about this trinket is that you can use it at the same time with another trinket. As an orc hunter I had some fun in PvP with this at lvl70. AP trinket + this + Blood fury + Bestial Wrath = Havoc :D

Pre-Cataclysm, using this trinket gave your attacks a chance to increase your armor penetration.

Now that Ret Paladins are less "bursty" with their damage (and have never really had much use for armor pen), this trinket might be worth considering if you're a vanilla level 60 ret twink. (28 crit = 2% at 60, so fully stacked you're looking at a 12% crit buff.)

It's really the proc rate that matters to make this trinket worthwhile. Since the debuff can be stacked 6 times, then the proc rate seems rather high, but I would like to see some numbers and experiments.

Since this trinket reduces armor, so it gives a flat % boost for both rogues and hunters, although part of hunter dps comes from stings which can't be benefited from this trinkets. So rogue seems to benefit fit more from this perspective.

On the other hand, hunters can FD and switch trinket after effect is over. So it is more convenient for hunters to gain the maximum benefit. Rogues normally don't vanish on boss until a given time for wiping aggro, and raid build rogues don't have preparation for double vanish (if they do, their dps suck big time to deserve the trinket), so from this perspective, hunter gets more benefit.

As for warriors in raids, I think that most people would go for something else rather than pure DPS gear since surviving is more important, particularly right now most guilds are still exploring AQ.

Ultimately, it is the DKP value of the item that matters :) People who already have the hakkar head trinket may not spend DKP on this item for a while (until it is proven much better).

I'm a hunter and I just got this item. It is completely useless for PvE because it does NOT stack with sunders. Yes it is a buff on you, and not a debuff on the enemy, but it only appears to reduce armor from the target base armor, not modified armor. It procs quickly, I'd say about an 80% rate, so after 15s or so you'll have the full 1200 armor reduction ability for the remaining 15s it's active. However, since 5 sunders on a target does, what, 2200 reduced armor, you're gimping yourself by 1000 armor by using it. Essentially, pop this trinket in PvE to do LESS damage. Woohoo!

In PvP it's marginally useful. You don't usually have warriors landing sunders on targets in PvP for you, so it's useful there. However, it's difficult to find a situation where you can land enough shots in the time you have to get the procs. It's useful in AV or AB during a large encounter when you can hide behind a tree or a hill or something, pop rapid fire and this trinket and wail away on people.

I hope the fact that it doesn't stack with sunders is a bug, but if it stays the way it is now, this item is completely useless for any class in PvE.

Currently broken in 1.9, doesn't have any effect from my testing. Dueled a warrior with 1 armor piece on so he had ~1200 armor, and with the full stack of -armor buffs on me I still hit for less than my min damage, though he should've been at 0 armor. oh well.

When fixed, it should stack with sunder armor because this is your own personal buff. Will add somewhere between 10% and 15% more damage to your attacks when fully charged, which is pretty nice. Also its a self buff so you can carry it over to other mobs (or players) if the first mob dies. Because its a self buff, I doubt it generates much, if any, threat and thus is not a useful addition to sunder armor.

Once its fixed, I would HIGHLY recommend it to any dps class. You will easily get the full stack of the buff and the extra damage will scale perfectly with your own gear.

At this point might be fixed in 1.10, not sure. Until then, it sits in my bank waiting to be imba.

A guildie of mine got it, it proc almost 100% on each attack, If he multishot and hit 3 target he get 2-3 proc. Awsome whit this trinket + rapid fire after 10 sec, then FD when it is on Cd and change trinket.

This trinket would rock with BRE imagine 700 armor per stack up to 2100 with another 1200 from this trinket kicking butt and ignoring 3400 armor.

Not sure what the proc was like before but I can confirm that as of the current patch 1.10:

- It does stack with Sunder
- The proc actually gives you a buff which can carry over from one target to another
- Considering an 80% proc rate, it stacks up almost unbelievably fast

I just recently paid dkp for the item, since the only other person who wanted it was a pally, I think what perhaps sets this trinket apart...is that it is a burst damage trinket viable for hunters (unlike the Zandalarian).

Have yet to test it in PvP, but I can say that as a hunter, armor reduction is godly for us, I mostly use this in conjuction with the Devilsaur eye in PVE (when the timers are up), the numbers are rather awe-inspiring...finally broke a 2k multi.

The proc stacks with Sunder Armor.

The only time the proc will not stack is if the mob's armor is already reduced to zero, which can happen with 5 Sunder Armor debuffs and Faerie Fire.

=5550 (disgusting armor reduction)

Well if you're using bonereaver's edge, you probably won't build up the 6 points needed to get the full benefit from this trinket, but i'm sure it does if you were able to.

i don�t think so, but if it will stack with Jom Gobbar, a hunter, offtank or a rough will blast his enemy away within 15sec..............but i think it has the same timer, only thottbot hasn�t just enough informatiuon to say this.... biut if it could .....*.* meledamage ftw

Earthstrike + Swarm Badge and I have found this extremely effective vs Cloth/Leather/Mail targets

Earthstrike adds 280 power = 20 dps
Swarm Badge = -1200 armour max, average 700 armour or so. This gives about 4-5% dmg boost on low armour classes and 2-3% on plate wearers.
4% at my 200 dps hunter is 8 dps = 112 attack power.

All in all very scary combo.

Best thing is hunters can fake death and swoop to Drakesfire + Blackbreath afterwards for some steady dps.

yesterday i have taken it and i think this is one of the best trinket for pvp

3 mins cooldown and -1200 AC penetration buff is very usefull and powerfull and stack with faerie (-550 AC) ^^

im feral druid, and in cat for with 1 sec attack speed this trinket give me more more dmg :)

with maelstrom + swarmguard now im PWNZOR!

I just wanted to point out that something that reduces armour by a set point value, is not linear. If you look at http://guides.worldofwar.net/strategy.php?id=66 you can see the different percentage boosts for -300 armour (the table is for a rogue skill that reduces armour by 300).

I am a hunter. I got this trinket because it is one of the very few dps trinkets that stacks with earthstrike. Just thought I'd give you a rundown of how this trinket is used. Rapid Fire>Beserking>BadgeotSwarmguard>Earthstrike>multishot>arcaneshot>spam arcaneshot/multishot until badge stacks 4x>then switched to aimedshot/multishot, and watch the show...the huge crits are insane, record aimedshot on a sundered kurinaxx and 6x badge is currently 3.2k w/ lok'delar... high armor bosses are crippled beyond belief. i got this almost the same time as the earthstrike so its hard to say exactly how much it has improved my dps, but the combination of the two makes me lead dps on every boss fight. oh yeah, when you multishot a crowd and all of the multishots splatter for 2000k crits youll know you have a trinket you can be proud of... i dont pvp but i can just imagine the front line falling simultaneously courtesy of a nasty multishot crit. that is all - i love it - would not trade it for anything - Horde Hunter Montruexe -Reverence of Malorne

SO according to one person... the buff you get from this carries over to other targets... Yet the sunder armor-like effect might indeed cause alot of agro. It procs off ranged and melee attacks.

Who can wipe agro with a simple 30sec cooldown?
Who is the only real ranged AoE for use of the physical damage increase this trinket increases?
Who then can use this better than any... other... class for raid and PvP!

ok listen ppl this trinket is imba for hunter and rogue too, i just loot it and used it against huhuran after 30% most of my hits were 2k-multi--1600-autoshot---3k+ aim, when i used rapid fire all my hits were over 1.3k. ITS important to use a little more faster bow like huhuran stinger for better results.

This trinket is a "Use"

Once you "use" it will put a buff on you for 30 secs, in that time it will but a Debuff on your target.

I'm not sure if the buff on you goes away, or if it can proc twice in a 30 sec. time.

I picked this trinket up on my hunter. When you use the trinket, you get a buff that lasts 30 seconds. Each time the effect procs, the player does an animation and receives a separate, stacking buff called "Insight of the Qiraji." The buff stays when you change targets, etc, until the 30 seconds are up. It is based on procs per minute, so even with the extremely slow Crossbow of Smiting, the proc stacks quickly--it's usually at 6 in 10 seconds. It works in conjunction with a lot of other effects, so popping a Devilsaur Eye and Rapid Fire halfway through the buff will give you a significant damage increase from this trinket.

As for this trinket "stacking" with other effects, it definitely should. It is a buff on the player, not the mob, so it can't overwrite any other armor piercing effects. The only extra threat this trinket should cause would be due to the increase in your damage--it doesn't say anything about extra threat, and neither do either of the tooltips. Also, abilities like Blade Flurry and Multi-Shot should increase damage to all of your targets, since it's a buff on you. Probably the worst thing about this trinket is that it takes up 2 debuff slots--alliance players may find this trinket knocking other buffs off, or having no effect when they are fully buffed.

Im a combat rogue and this trinket is the best toy ive ever had!

Used with adrenaline rush, SnD and Blade Flurry = minced mobs.

it stacks on expose armour, its a self buff you can carry over to other mobs, and in group fights it's absolutely amazing.

With only a 3 minute cooldown its good enough to wear permanently. KTM threat meter shows HUGE agro increases using it, but Ive heard some people say it doesnt generate extra agro, and I know KTM is bugged from patch to patch.

Using the Badge along with the Drake Fang Talisman and I have to say I would recommend it to everyone.

I can't call it good bad or useless until we know the Duration of the effect.

Does the chance to proc last for 10 seconds? Meaning once you tap the trinket, you have 10 seconds in which to proc the effect? Or does the timespan in which you are given to initiate a proc last significantly longer? Cos if it was 1 minute long chance that your attacks would have to chance to proc, that would be significant. Especially if it works like Sunder Armor, which lasts 30 seconds from the last application.

Given a 2.0 speed weapon (typical for tanking), then that minute would give you 30 attacks. Give a 10% chance to proc and you are pretty well guaranteed to take away an additional 600 armor from your target. On top of the 1500 or so that Sunder gives. Sometimes less, potentially more. What if it's a 20% proc rate? Then you get to 1200...

But at this point, there's no way of telling because we know neither the duration of the effect, nor it's proc rate once it *is* in effect.

So it has serious potential to be not bad at all for a trinket.

It keeps stacking the buff on you..rather than the debuff on them..meaning when yo u switch a target in pvp it carries over the stack of debuffs..meaning you can rack up 6 debuffs really fast on a warrior and then tab over to that mage and tear him in half.

from the few times i have used it the proc rate is 100% once you use it. it stacked to 6 immidiately and once this is fixed i will use it very often

I have acquired this trinket yesterday and tried it on some Tyr's Hand's mobs (i'm a Rogue). Well....

It stacks up every hit (i think about 80% procrate) and reset the 30 seconds timer every time you get the buff. But btw after the main buff (the trinket's one) finish, it cancels all the proc buffs you have gained.

It simply own in farming, i will try it tonight in dungeons.

Example: I have the claw of the black drake and Maladath, i think i've gained 10% dps (minimum) of damages without any other cooldowns. (Sinister trike 1000 - Ripost 800 Crits etc)

A fellow Hunter in my guild got this item and he is getting new highs on multi-shot/aimed shot crits.

How would you like a 2800+ Aimed Shot crit on a boss?

Pop this trinket, pop devilsaur eye, pop rapid fire...quick shot procs.

The main thing isn't that it's use only lasts 30 seconds, it's that you have 30 seconds to get as many procs on it as you can.

If I used it 29 seconds ago and I just stacked my 6th buff, those 6 buffs still last another 30 seconds.

3 Minute cooldown can mean 2 uses per fight vs. some bosses if you use it at the beginning. Imagine having this with full DS or Full Striker's...my guildie is one piece away from full DS (legs have dropped once in the past 7 months).

Don't tell other classes how good this is or they'll want it ><

If you do the math, it's a completely useless item. It lowers the target's physical armor by 200 to your OWN attacks. Not to others, only your own. So should someone else near you have the same trinket, the effects won't stack for you personally.

It's freaking useless to let it stack 6 times when the cooldown is 3 minutes and the duration only 30 seconds.

Way to deliver some piece of crap Blizzard, well done.

It proc's on every hit and refresh the deuffs timer to 30,So you have plenty of time within the 30 seconds of the trinkets effect to hit 6 debuffs on the target. The trinket in itself last 30 seconds even if the dubuff is at 30 sec.

It has a 3 min refresh.

Its not single target you can transfer the debuff to any mob. Its more of a buff to you like a food that adds stats,but insted lowers all targets by 1200 ar.

oh yea its broken i was first to have one and i posted it on wows bug forums.

Procs like hell, no problem for a hunter with a 2.9 speed bow to make it proc 6 times in 15-20 secs.

But, as someone already mentioned, it's bugged.

Absolutely no change of damage against mobs with armor (i.e. paladin guards in Tyr's Hand) after applying -1200 AC.

Sad.

Tested today, april the 20th 2006 with my hunter on Arathor-EU.
What happens is the following:
1. You activate it and you get Badge of the Swarmguard buff (30 seconds). This buff enables you to get the second buff that procs on melee and ranged hits, called Insight of the Qiraji (30 seconds).
2. You start attacking and Insight of the Qiraji starts stacking.
3. Every time Insight of the Qiraji procs it renews itself.
4. Badge of the Swarmguard does not renew itself, ever.

What it means that this is more or less useless, seeing as it takes 10 (if you're lucky) or 20 (with slow weapons) seconds to get the full proc. And after that it's unusuable for 3 more minutes. What a waste of dkp. If Badge of the Swarmguard renewed itself so that you could have 30 seconds of -1200 ac proc then it'd be nice. Atm. it's getting banked.

So to clarify - in its current state even though you proc the 6th time at the 25th second you only have 5 more seconds with the debuff. True story.

I got this tonight, every time i activate it in a pack of mobs I ww and with auto attack i have 6 debuffs up almost immediately broke all my crit records within an hour, best trinket ever. nuff said.

Is it me, or does this not work on the Twin Emps?

I had all 6 debuffs up and my damage did not change while hitting them.

I don't see why it wouldn't. It's not a debuff on them, it's a buff for you, which ignores their armor. It's not even a 'magical' buff. It's physical.

Other than the Twin Emps, this thing is beautiful. Pop it while Quick Shots is on and Rapid Fire and I have all 6 up in under 8 seconds, which leaves me some pretty nice Aimed/Multi shot crits.

I'd say it's around 80%~ 85% proc rate...
I think it will be better if you have hawk + rapid shot to increase it's chance... after all, you DO need to make sure it proc as soon as possible, so having a fast weapon while using this trinket isn't a bad idea...

I'm female NE hunter, and I just love it when it procs, coz my character jumps up, as she is doing raptor strike. It's quite cool.

As a rogue, I get 6 stackings in 2-3 seconds of attacking - This is a really good trinket in PvP, aswell as in PvE.

Warriors and paladins is like leather wearers when I fight them <3

Hmm, if the proc rate after its use is high, id say it be pretty useful for a hunter who has the full AQ armor set ( for the 3 min cooldown on rapid fire).

There are two things id like to know. Would this trincket debuff stack with an applied sunder or expose armor and how much time does the user of the trinket have to apply the debuffs (or the trinket's duration).

I messed with mine on the test server and in 1.10 it is fixed.. it also isn't affected by the new trinket cooldowns so you can use it with things like ZHM or Earthstrike.

Its allegedly working in 1.10. How good is it? On the surface, it seems a little underpowered for being a Sartura drop. IMO it would be better as something with a Passive effect.

Hi...i m a fury warrior,i m dualwielding fast wepons...i m not lvl 60 yet, but i m going to be soon and do AQ.I m using and going to use wepons faster than 2.60 (maybe faster than 2)...I m interested, does this trinket's proc stack with Sunder armor?in lvl 53 5 Sunder Armor will decrease target's armor by 1800...at lvl 60 it's more then 2000...if it stacks it's totally cool for a user of fast wepons...

It has an 80% proc rate once activated.

Also of note is that it does not activate the 20 second trinket cooldown on Earthstrike, or ZG trinkets. So yes, rogues, you can pop this, hit earthstrike, Adrenaline Rush, slice and dice, and blade flurry, and go to town.

No idea but do some maths:

After the first proc the debuff lasts for 30 seconds. Since it can stack up to 6 times (and i think it means your one can stack up to 6 times and someone else can get another one) you will see it every 5 seconds. Maths is maybe for a rogue or dual wield warrior.

Imo its kinda useless in pve but for pvp its godlike.

Procrate would be good to know,, but it seems like this would be a awesome trinket for wars that have trouble keepin aggro on raid mobs. Use this lil guy while you're stackin up some sunders and good chance mobX will chew on you for a while. Even if it only procs twice, 30 secs isnt that long on a descent boss.

Im going to step up and say its a Rogue/Hunter trinket. I seriously doubt it can have any use to a warrior in PvE, but yes in PvP, im not sure if they would want it tho.

But as a sword rogue, i really would want this, simply in pvp, and pve, mainly pvp.

Imagine a duel vs a rogue, you pop this when you start and by the time you get into a kidney he will have 1200 reduced armor, raising my Sinister strikes above 1k easily.

This stunlock/trinket strat will work great vs warlocks/priests/warriors/feral druids..... pretty much anyone.

Dont doubt in a second that armor has nothing to do with pvp, taking out 1200 armor is an excelent strat, all while your simply beating on the person, its not like your sundering, or taking up rage/energy to do this, its happening while your beating the person senseless...... this all said with the trinket working as intended ofcourse.

As for hunters, it says ranged, so fuk yea, seems great.

This item is going to be interesting when I get it as at least stats show that it would give solid boost to white dps.

In classic it would be interesting to see how much this actually increases damage on boss fights since reduced armor means bigger white hits.

Also interesting is that if TBC classic comes with 2.4.3 talent builds which would be much like vanilla classic was, then this would interestingly aling withRapid Fire making those rapid fire sprees nice.

Overall I am looking forward to get this trinket and compare how my performance increases in some raid boss fights, also open world farming can be more interesting with this, especially vs cloth wearing npcs.

The best dps trinket in the game bar none.
The fact it lasts up to basically a full 60 seconds is insane.
Most dps trinkets for on use attack power last 15-20seconds.

As a feral I normally use bleeds to get around armor.
But this get's around armor for me and lets me use flat damage attacks.

Who doesnt love huuge numbers.

This is almost better than it used to be, since the armor penetration is fully effective vs. bosses now, too. Fully stacked, it's roughly a 10% increase to all physical damage outside of bleeds.
