Guide on How To Properly Break Into The Arcatraz*
(*ARCATRAZ and not Alcatraz)

* I don't know the exact mobs that A/H get the quest from, they're in Area 52 so if you know the quest name it shouldn't be a problem
* I didn't sum up the gold amount because I'm lazy, the XP gain and reputation are approx. accurate. I hope.

1. Assisting the Consortium : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10264, a 'go talk to' quest (1200XP/72s)
2. Consortium Crystal Collection : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10265, kill a dreadlord called Pentatharon and get a crystal from him
3. A Heap of Ethereals : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10262 , repeatable quest also for Consortium reputation.

1st chain ends here : 25800XP, 510 Consortium reputation OR around 15g at 70

4. Warp-Raider Nesaad : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10205, a go-kill-him quest.
5. Request for Assistance : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10266 , find Gahruj at 47,57
6. Rightful Repossession : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10267 , get 10 boxes from around Mana Forge: Duro
7. An Audience with the Prince : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10268 , Nexus-Prince Haramad at 44,35 or so in the Stormspire.
8. Triangulation Point One : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10269 , use the Triangulation Device at 66, 33
9. Triangulation Point Two : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10275 , same thing at 28,41
10. Full Triangle : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10276 , Find Culuthas at 53, 21, 70 Elite demon.

2nd chain ends here: 1600 Consortium reputation, 71450 XP or around 60 gold if you're 70.

11. Special Delivery to Shattrath : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10280 , pretty obvious.
12. How To Break Into the Arcatraz : https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=10704 , the Bottom Shard of the Arcatraz Key : Pathaleon the Calculator in The Mechanar and the Top Shard of the Arcatraz Key : Warp Splinter in The Botanica. Pretty obvious if you know where they're located, huh.

hi guys/ladys i want to get key to arcatraz so i can finish quest for key to karazan but i need quest line for arcatraz key. I must of had it at 1 point, I dont know? Is it possible to still get key for arcatraz? if so would someone plz let me know it would be much appreciated if you could. Also where does quest line start so i can do it all to get both keys arcatraz and karazan KEYS thank u all.......

No longer needed as of 4.0.3a. The door to the Arcatraz is there but always unlocked.

A'dal still has the converse option to get back the key, in case you lost it, but it doesn't give a key however.

Once you earn this item it actually doesn't appear in your keyring anymore, it now just awards you an attunement similar to the one granted to you for completing the Mag Terr (N) quest which then allows you into Mag Terr (H).

Now appears in your bag rather than the keyring which has since been removed, you can safely vendor it as entrace to the Arcatraz is open to anyone.

Still available actually. And A'dal still gives you another one if you don't have it anymore. But you don't need any keys anymore so ... yah : )

ok so quest is still there i did it today. u still get the key in inventory. if you delete it and go to adal you can click to get another and you will get another in your inventory. useless however

At this oint in time it seems bugged. I have stood directly under the " holographic indicator" 3 times, it then says in my quest log "Second Triangulation Point Discovered", I cross the bridge to Wind Trader Tuluman but he is white not yellow mark above his head and cannot take back Triangulation Device. Successfully did Point One and not doing anyhting differently here. I don't ssee anything to do differently in the Quest instructions. On the plus side the XP is pretty good at around 1500 per guy killed getting there, think I will go back again!

ok so it starts at the ethereal - does it require a certain amount of rep to get the quest? he only has the repeatable quest for the rep turn in drops.

ive done both the chain quests ( Consortium Crystal Collection, and the one that ends in killing the elite demon for the gem.) and A'dal still isnt a quest giver. help someone pls =O

The quest chain does start with the crystal collection from area 52 and sends you all over netherstorm. It is an 11 step quest, fairly easy solo maybe need help once or twice. To see the full chain go to http://www.wowwiki.com/Key_to_the_Arcatraz

Hope this helps out some, and enjoy the quest, pretty easy for a key quest and good rewards plus loot from killing things.

Actually, if you're a mage, you don't need a key at all... You can blink into and out of the instance!
