My bank alt put it in the auction house with a buyout of 30g, when i logged on to the bank alt a few hours later it was already sold.

It is indeed a great hybrid helm, but it's also probably the best stand-alone feral helm until you hit 70. The only thing better while leveling that I can think of is https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=27415, which you're not likely to get because Auch Crypts sucks the big one.

Very nice for an Enhancement Shaman as well, especially when dual wielding (hit rating is important with such a high miss chance). It's a slight drop in armor, but ideally you shouldn't be getting hit anyway.

This is an awesome DPS, PvP and soloing Head for it's level. Dropped for me in Underbog and I used it up to level 70.

Definitely reccomend it to any leveling feral(or perhaps non-feral too) Druid.
If only there were more hybrid items like this one and preferably with a higher stat budget than other items it's level for the extra int/spirit.

If you'll be doing Auchenai Crypts for Darkguard Face Mask, even if it doesn't drop, you can still get enough Spirit Shards to buy Exorcist's Dragonhide Helm, so it's worth the grind.

Having just picked this item up in a drop, I was hoping to put it on my hunter. Any comments on if I should save this item for perhaps a druid, or carry on with it on my troll hunter. I have a lvl 8 druid, so that would mean a long haul before I could even use it.

I got this for my combat spec troll rogue at 62. The hit rating is a great plus, and being combat based it makes it good for fighting. Of course intellect isn't much good to a rogue but with the solid strength, agility and stamina that can be overlooked.

Bought this for 36g, replacing Blooddrenched Mask from ZG. Well worth it for my feral gear for the amount of stats. Although it'll probably be replaced by a green, seeing the way expansion gear is.

This dropped for me today from a Bloodthirsty Marshfang. However, it also has an Equip: +14 Hit Rating on it.

I just spent ~10g socketing my Scout's Hood, and I can't decide if I should sell this or wear it (feral druid).

2 of these came out of 1 blood furnace run. 1 from a mob and the other from a chest. I won one of the rolls and sold it for 55g :D

well, I have been having this one as soon as i reached lvl62... now I am 66 and I still use it... I can't really find anythings that beats it...i hesitated a long time with the reward "Terokk's Mask" which is a typical rogue mask, but still kept the headdress.... I hope I will find an other good druid helm soon...

This has better burst dmg than Terokk's Mask and intl whuch Ferals need, unless u are a kill quick, die quick drood.

It even beats the High Warlords Dragonhide helm, which is a piece of ^&*!, does less dmg than the Warlords one, except it has better mitigation.

This is an excellent hat. I bought it for 15g from some dude in the trade channel and gave it to my druid. As soon as he hit 62 he put it on. It looks pretty cool too.

Sweet leveling gear for my enhancement shaman Korolev in Dark Iron US. Dropped off the first thing I killed in Zangar marsh a Hydra. So sweet, I got a second drop 10 kills later and sold on ah for 200g

This stats are as good as Moonglade Cowl- which is lvl 70 blue set and it's not easy to get.
This item is for freakin lvl 62 ! Buyout 20g of auction on lvl 61 - now at 70 and still using it :P... anyways i just dinged 70 so I'm searching for something better hehe

The funniest thing happend to me! i was questing in zangaramrsh solo and one dropeed from a bog lord. i was so psyched, but the next day i was in HF ramparts and one dropped off a fel orc! everyone greeded and i won it lol. what are the chances? i now have two and since im a gnome mage i cant use em.

without HoTW

26 Str X 2 = 52 Atk Power
25 agil = 25 Atk power

total: 77 Atk power

With HoTW
26x2=52 X 1.20 = 62.4
+ 25 agil.

total of roughly 87 attack power.

If you are ever running something with a rogue named Shakara on Blade's Edge .. you may want to rethink it. I was in Ramps last night and this piece dropped... I needed on it cuase I am resto druid and it would be a wonderful helm for me. She needed and won it. Stupid ninja... I hope she never gets to 70!

Even for a rogue this helmet offers very good stats, except Intellect and Spirit.
It has a good amount of Strength, Agility, and therefore AP and Crit, also Stamina, which isn't really important for a PVE DD, but nice to have.
And what makes it real good for its requirements, is the additional hit, which all Melees with two one handed weapons almost can't get enough.
Therefore, i bought it for my 63 rogue at the AH for 40g, and I'm sure i won't regret it.
The next best helmet I'm looking forward is the Darkguard Face Mask from Exarch Maladaar from Auchenai Crypts.

Have seen this thing drop twice in about 2 weeks in Outland. I sold the first one for 40g. I let my buddy take the second one. I felt a little greedy, getting this drop and the Blade of Misfortune off crap mobs about 4 days apart.
