Perhaps this is a massive beef up of the Goldenscale Vendorfish?
Gives people more of a reason to keep doing dailies for more than achievements after they've gotten their gems.

Going a bit out on a limb here I am guessing this is a reference to the Swan Bell Tower of Perth? I have not been able to find any close up pictures of the bells, and according to wikipedia it got its name "from the Swan River, which their tower overlooks", but even so it has been postulated that the Tower Key is a reference to Taipei Tower, so it doesn't seem that unlikely - though I have no idea why Blizzard would care about a tower in Perth..

Only downside is that it is only a 2% drop from a daily. Kinda hard to farm if u ask me :p

Done the Dalaran fishing daily around 10 times now and I've got it 3 times, seems to appear at a percent more than 2%
also, I'll keep stacking them on eachother :)

Really great item. Best surprise in long time. My jaw dropped to floor when I sold it to vendor. I excpected it to be worth maybe 5-10 gold max.

Whew!, I almost have thrown away this "grey" junk item. I would not have been 100G richer had i done it. A lesson learned? Sell everything you don't need. Who knows, you might be in a good surprise.

Just picked up one of these badboys from the Fishing Daily. Most useful trash item ever... Really helps uplift your spirits for doing the daily fishing quests ;)

Swans are popular in old art, and the art depicted on this bell could be anything.

Leda and the Swan (Greek Mythology) is one such possibility, but who knows; swans and people had a big place in art back then.

OK, so I received this item in a fishing bag from the Dalaran daily fishing quest (the Terrorfish one), and happy with my luck I said into trade chat 'sweet! look what I just got from the fishing daily!'. 2 seconds later some dude says 'I'll give you 200 gold for that.' I was like your kidding me right? But it turns out hes a collector and showed me like 50 different grey items that you cant use or equip. They were all notes or some sort of doodad. So if you get this, keep it for a little while to see if you can get a little more than 100 gold from it.

Just got this today when doing my first Dalaran fishing daily. It was in my Bag of Fishing Treasures, and I nearly deleted it. But just for fun, I looked it up here first (then on WowHead), in case anyone said if it might be used for something. Lucky me that I noticed the merchant buy price!
