For RP purposes, I would rather use this than the other lanterns that look the same just for the name.

I have gotten this Explorers Lodestar thing before and now I'm trying to get it for my other character but I don't remember which quest it was from. Can someone help me?

its from the hidden chamber quest in uldaman, dont know why thott doesnt havce that one =0S

This thing is relatively easy to get, and looks pretty cool too =D
When you go into Ulda, in the greenish colored hallways in the beginning there is a small tunnel a little ways before Revelosh. That is where you get the quest. On the table next to the dwarf NPC there is a chest, for part one of the key. Part 2 is dropped by Revelosh. Clear the Map room, then unlock the door. After you are finished with Ironaya, just run into that room and it counts as 'exploring' the hidden chamber. Then talk to the guy in the Library in IF, and you have your lodestar =)

Is there any item that resembles this lantern? I did the quest waaay before I realized how cool the 'Lodestar' is and picked the axe and vendored it.

I want to walk in the night with a lantern /cry

I decided I needed some more Vision Dust, so I DE'd this item. I wound up with a Small Radiant Shard.
