Remember to follow the directions in the quest and use the "fire valves" to quell the flames else your gonna get burned, literally. I didn't and just ran in there trying to be a hero but ended up dieing to the flames. They're small red valves with what seems to be steam coming out of them at the entrance to Bael'dun just before you enter to rescue the survivors, located on the sides of the walls. They will give you a 30 second buff called "Emergency Fire Ward" making you immune to fire damage within the keep.

Edit: Also, careful with dieing in the keep. As of this patch it seems that you will die again upon ressing even close to the flaming entrance of Bael'dun. So remember to rebuff yourself with Emergency Fire Ward before it runs out. There are many other valves scattered throughout the keep.

This was the first time I can remember, that I kept clicking past the ten required survivors on my way out of the fortress. The animation on the trapped victims is a little too good. This quest chain is traumatic!

If you die inside the keep, do what you can to rez OUTSIDE. If you run straight back to your corpse and rez you will almost certainly die again before you can use a fire valve.

This is a crap quest. The fire interrupts opening valves, then the valves despawn without being used. Expect a couple of deaths.

This quest is easy. There are plenty of valves scattered all around the inside to replenish the buff. Just grab a valve buff whenever you see one and you're good. The quest objects also seem to be located near the valves making it obvious. Didn't even come close to dying.

Um... wait... is this still in game or not? WHY would someone put that? Where exactly is this Quest giver? I looked all around Bael Modan and couldn't find him. Is he in the digsite? Are there prerequisite quests to be done?

seems like you need to talk to General Twinbraid first and gain "digsite status." This was from another quest's comments, but it probably leads up to this.

To begin Marley Twinbraid's quests you must first speak with General Twinbraid and gain Digsite Status, there is no need to do any other quests in the Barrens beforehand. General Twinbraid is located to the far right of the cave by Frazzlecraz Motherlode.

This quest is still in the game, just prerequisites to get to it. The quest is a bit of a royal pain, but it can be done, thanks to the other helpful comments here.

So I'm levelling a goblin rogue, and just did the horde side stuff related to this area, and now I've done enough to get to this quest so I can grab the Survivor's blade because I'm in the mood to use katana style daggers (transmog, natch).

A couple months ago, I did this on the worgen warrior I leveled, only from the other side.

It is really creepy to see this quest line from both Ally and Horde side.

Yes, there is a small prerequisite chain. Never fear, it is relatively painless.

Digsite Status --> Hands Off Me Dig!, Feegly the Exiled --> Marley's Final Flight -->Bael'Dun Rescue

There is no need to go really deeply into the building! This is a really easy quest, it's just hard to keep a straight head with the klaxon wailing, all the injured dwarves flailing around, having to get the buff due to the various fires, etc.

Tip: Turn off your sound for this quest if the klaxon is too distracting and distressing!

This is how I would do it now that I know better:

Get buff outside. (Buff lasts about 30 seconds and there are plenty of nozzles, so just keep an eye on the timing and refresh appropriately, as necessary.)
To get the Horde body, go in through the right entrance. Once in, go left, rescuing dwarves as you run across them. The body of Weezil Slipshadow is right there with the question mark over his head. Complete quest there, then run back out the way you came in, again rescuing dwarves as you see them.
Once outside again, take a deep breath, refresh buff, if necessary.
To get the keg, now enter through the left entrance, take a right and just go straight ahead, rescuing dwarves along the way. Keg is straight ahead in a little eatery area.
Once you have the keg, go back out the way you came in, refreshing your buff as necessary and rescuing dwarves along the way.

Tip: After the "Activating" gauge shows you that you've turned the handle successfully, remain still! There is a little lapse between after it's activated and when the buff actually comes streaming out. Be sure to stay until the stream of air has come out, as that is what gives you the buff--otherwise you'll run off thinking you have the buff when you don't and you'll die quickly.

Be careful if you are a warlock and have a voidwalker. Mine kept on getting between me and the valves and I eventually died. Rez at the graveyard if you do and there is a way back. You just have to go back down the road a ways and take another road and then cross thru a few mobs of different sorts to get back up. I am not bringing back my voidwalker until I am done with the quest. lol

Yhis could have been a really fun quest. But like so many other things, the need for repairs ruined it for me. Over and over again players have complained that repairs ruin the experience. Psst, hey, Blizz: stopping in the middle of a quest and having to find repairs is right up there with stopping in the middle of a massage and having to do the dishes. So much fail.
