Westfall is a great area to get experience from questing and grinding from levels 10-20. The quests have good rewards and there always seems to be another group of higher level beasts nearby to level up with when you tire of the other group. The highest level monsters in this area lie near the bridge by Duskwood, there you'll find level 18 mechanical Scarecrows and some undead.

The inclusion of The Deadmines is what rounds this place out, and makes Westfall viable for people up to level 26.

Westfall contains a bugged area of the world that is THE #1 farming spot for Linen Cloth in the game.

Just north of Gold Coast Quarry, there is a Windmill with about 15 Defias humans wandering around it. All these npcs are bugged. Whenever you kill one, another one INSTANTLY respawns in the same area.

Even at level 60, it is impossible to kill and loot them all without having more respawn right away.

On top of that, they have a high Linen Cloth drop rate, usually stacks of two or three.

These two things, make it the #1 Linen Cloth farm spot in the game, hands down.

The bone-dry area of Westfall was once a peaceful, quiet region, mainly used by farmers. Stormwind watched over it, knowing nothing of the trouble brewing within the Deadmines. After the bulk of the Stormwind army were scattered abroad, the Defias gang made its move by taking over several areas in Elwynn, a few farms in Westfall, and the deep, twisting caves of the Deadmines. The Stormwind army abandoned Westfall as new threats occured, such as the wild Harvest Golems that patrol the farms, the rabid Coyotes and Fleshrippers that have turned hostile, the strange Dust Devils that have begun swirling around different areas, and Gnolls that have set up camps around the area. The people of Westfall had no choice but to make their own army: The People's Militia. Lead by Gryan Stoutmantle, the Militia is battling for their lives day after day. You can certainly find work everywhere you go in Westfall, and Herbs/Mineral Veins are in abundance.

If you swim North from Westfall, keeping to the coastline near Stormwind, you will eventually find yourself at "Newman's Landing" an empty run down house with skeletons and a skull on a stick.
In the water is a sunken boat, and apart from that there is nothing.
It's a nice place if you want to meditate :)
NOTE: It is a 10 minute swim, which can be quickened by running on the land when possible. There is also a spot along the way where you will join the zone Stormwind City and gain rested status, enabling you to logout with the 20 second timer.

It is also a good time to do the CLUCK! quest for a 25copper chicken pet at Saldean's Farm.

Because just yesterday I was on my way through Westfall to run three other players through VC, and I killed a Lvl 34 Orc Hunter and a Lvl 34 Blood Elf Pally that were traveling together.

Seriously, I know this will be an unpopular and down-voted comment, but after 4 new characters through westfall, I just despise Moonbrook like nothing else in the game. The chain aggro is horrible, guaranteed to impale the best-geared player on a proverbial spike. The defias roam in twos or threes, the mages are viciously powerful compared to everything else at this level, and they cluster**** you the moment you try to pull one, or if you just stand stilll for too long.

Mercifully my latest char is high enough to leave for more forgiving climes now. But @#$% Moonbrook >:(

I play Horde, but one of my favourite pastimes when I'm not questing is travelling to Sentinel Hill and just cooking in the middle of it, right in front of the tower. It's fun to see a little crowd of confused Alliance gather.

Westfalls is one of my favourite zones to quest in, the quest are easy and no too far away from each other. The "the Defias Brotherhood" is a very interesting quest, especially when paired up with the "Messenger to Stormwind" quests. If you take time to read what its all about, that is ;)

And by some coincidence I happen to live in a Norwegian city called Vestfossen, which directly transfered to English is, you guessed it, Westfall ;)

I remember in my younger days as a horde rogue (around 14-18) I used to take the Zeppelin down to Grom Gol, then swim northwest up the coast of Stranglethorn to get to Westfall, staying clear of the mobs on the coast and those murlocs that would aggro miles away from the depths of the sea. The famed Red Defias Mask is what I wanted - all the cool kids were wearing them, and it was a sort of coming of age item for a horde rogue. It showed you were brave enough to swim up to Westfall and grab one for yourself, maybe picking fights with some Alliance along the way.

One thing you should note as a Hordie causing mischief in Westfall and its surrounding zones is that a nice guy named the Defias Profiteer - who hangs around the cluster of buildings surrounding the Deadmines instance - will buy your vendor trash and repair your gear, regardless of faction. His friends just don't understand retail, though, and will attack you on sight. He'll happily repair your gear after you brutally murder his coworkers, of course.

Stay off the roads surrounding Sentinel Hill - I've run into some persistent level 30 guards that patrol them in my days of sneaking around here.

Westfall provided me with my first taste of Alliance blood as a Hordie. Blame my penchant for getting distracted from leveling easily. It's not a contested zone, but half the fun is the silent interaction between two lowbies of opposite factions trading emotes. I can remember some funny stories - the tragic right click that ruined our friendship and /sorry macro that followed - these kinds of things don't happen out on the battlegrounds, and it's the world's little quirks that make me love this game the most.

I have looked all over the land and Demont's place still eludes me? Any Cords on this missing place? I also noticed that in order to get credit for locating some of the Cities in the alliance area is almost impossible without marking yourself PVP. Even as a level 72 Warlock I got flagged trying to get close enough to get credit for discovering major cities and the capital!

There seems to be a bug where i am, for no reason, teleported to Sentinel Hill. It happened when i was just about to enter the portal to The Oculus, and i was somehow teleported to Sentinel Hill. Anyone else having this issue?

I love Westfall. One of the best Alliance zones, if you ask me. The quest chains are fun and interesting and end up getting you some really great prizes through (most likely) your first instance. The zone is wide open and you've got plenty of room for escape if things go bad. It's also large, but not so large it takes a while to run from one end to the other. Plus, there are tons of human opponents which will let you stockpile linen. There's usually people looking to run the Deadmines too, so players of that level can easily find a group or high level players can solo it or escort some lower level players for tips.

very nice place to level but you want to be level 12 and up because some of the lowest guys are 11-13 so i would think you'd have to be level 12 or so maybe level 10 if you are a pally or warrior if preist or mage or lock then should be level 12 and up

The 20 something bird you're thinking of is called Vultros. he drops a kickin dagger, but I think hes a 12 hour spawn. I've never seen him, only heard about him. Rumored to be a L26 elite.

Yes, he is here, lvl 26 silver elite, he travels between the piles of bones you see randomly laying around in the areas between Stendel's Pond and The Molsen Farm.

Drops the Talon of Vultros, very nice lvl 21 dagger, or a Feathered Cape, not as nice as the dagger but its a decent cloak.

ok i spent hours running around westfall and have found out that.....

there is a lvl 26 elite bird called vultros that drops either a great dagger or a good cape...

the lvl 20 elite that people are on about isnt an elite.......its a harvest watcher called something 4000. when i killed this i got a 10 slot bag...

there are 2 murlocs slark and another which i have not found...ive heard they drop a sword and a dagger.....theres also old murk eye which dropped a cape for me....

and lastly theres a gnoll south west of gold quarry in a camp with about 4-6 surronding him.....

as for the lvl 26 elite bird....i still havent found but.....hes been sighted near the farm that u get the watch in.......near stendels pond.....and between moonbrook and the coast.....ive heard hes a 12 hour respawn....

i spent ages looking for this bird but just cant find him...just one more lvl for my mount and im off to get him =D good luck all.

oh and btw the lvl 20 harvest watcher has a silver portrait. ^^

Go up to a chicken in Westfall, any chicken. Keep typing /chicken until it says "The chicken looks at you quizically. Perhaps you should inspect it?" Talk to it, get the quest, go to Saldeans Farm. Go to the guy in front of the farmhouse and buy chicken feed. Go up to any chicken, it doesn't have to be the one from before. Type /cheer until you can talk to it and finish the quest. It will lay an egg. Open it and then you have a pet chicken.

You just GOOOOOOOOOOTTA LOVE WESTFALL!
It's great for grinding (Harversters/Defias) and has some neat quests and neat quest rewards as well as an EXELENT lowbie instance, The Deadmines. But the best parts are the nice quests and the envirorment, I don't know why but I just find westfall extremely nice.

Be sure to do the Defias chain quests wich will end up with an end quest to that will lead to the Deadmines and give you nice exp/rewards.

Save the Okra (hmm or was it Hops-- dont recall, save em both) from the Harvesters. Free booze from a dwarf up in the east mountains, strong booze.
I think he gives one keg for 10 of the plants hops or okra... A keg sells for 20s, or you can use it to get drunk to the boot and get blur on ur screen :).
Man I love westfall, but fear not, the place after Westfall, Red Ridge is also just fine.
Duskwood is also OK but after that the zones go rubbish :(. Booty Bay is "ok" but thats all, its no westfall.

I was playing with a Gnome Rogue in Westfall a couple weeks ago. I was only level 11 and was having a hard time with some of the Defias at the Jangolode Mine (I found myself fighting two at one time various times).

Once I stooped so low as to dashing to free myself from the two at the small hut just left of the mine entrance. I dashed to the left, as if I were going to Gold Coast Quarry, however; I didn't stay on the road.

About 5 seconds later, a zombie popped up on my screen as a target and was apparently attacking me. Shortly after I was dead. I didn't get the level or name of the zombie, but I did notice two of them.

I also noticed where they ran back to. They ran to a small tree with a fence around it. It seems that there is a coffin that is broke in two and two tombstones.

I've yet to see either of these again.

Has anyone had similar experiences and maybe know who these are and how I get them back?

still lookin for vultros,
found sgt brashclaw just sw of jangolade mine in a big group of gnolls. found the undead guys with leprithus in that small cemetary near that. As for slark and brack, they can be found easily by going to the lighthouse island and facing longshore, you can fish and eventually they will pass by. Only murlocks that pass by that area are those two and old murk eye and they all look similiar. Havent seen foe reaper 4000 in awhile but Hes on one of the northern farms. Hope this helps. anyone know where vultros spawns ill camp there. ty an gl

I have found some (boss?) monsters in westfall. Always look around you when you have finished your fight and walking further. I only died 1 time because of this. Usually they have a different color then the other monsters. The first time i found one and i died.
On the field/farm with harvest levels 10/11 there was a level harvest level 15.
On the next field/farm with the harvest watchers level 14/15 there was harvest level 20, he was having a blue color.
Also at the murlocs down the hills, there was a level 19 murloc, he was a little bit bigger and walking fast around the the camp near the water. I couldn't kill them becuase my level was too low.
On the left side of westfall level 12/13 monsters there was al level 19 devil elemental.
I have found these rare spawns near thelsamar too (a group 2x level 20 and 1x level 21 elite) at the level 14/15 monsters near the water.

I always see so many level 20-30 Horde in Westfall. It makes sense when higher levels enter Alliance territory, but when these level 20-30 Horde do, espescially with that many Horde coming, there has got to be a good route in and out of Westfall. Does anyone know exactly where they come from?

The dilapidated town of Sentinel Hill doesn't look much like an oasis at all, but after long runs across the hostile farmland of Westfall, the place looks as beautiful as one. The inn is missing a bit of roof, but it serves its purpose fine. There's a stove near the back where you can cook...it just tends to be hard to find, and blends in with the wall.

You can grab several quests from the NPCs near the inn and the large tower overlooking the town. There's a Griffonmaster down near the center of the town. Nearby are several stalls and carts where vendors are hawking their wares, so check in with them to buy or sell.

Sometimes, in the foothills to the north of the tower, Dust Devil Earth Elementals may spawn. These guys are not to be trifled with, weighing in at around level 17-19, high enough to pose a threat even to those finishing up their stays in Westfall. I would advise you take the road instead of cutting across the hills if you're going to Sentinel Hill.

Two Elite quests start in Stormwind and finish here: "Oh Brother" and "Collecting Memories". Both finish in the Undead (purple) section of the mine. You cannot solo down the mine unless you can handle three to four L16 to L20 mobs at ounce.

Moonbrook, to the adventurer just discovering it, seems inviting. A church steeple, huts, a cobblestone road. However, as you enter, you realize it is chock-full of Defias. There is one saving grace. Because the entrance to the Deadmines Dungeon and Instance is in this area (through the door into the large shed at the fountain plaza located at the westernmost end of the town), you will often have parties and players in their level 20s passing through, beating up Defias. That is one respite. However, due to the chance that you may wander in during a lull and end up in Moonbrook with every Defias freshly spawned, I advise a minimum of level 15 before taking on the challenges posed by this ghost town.

The lightest fighting here is in the fields at the eastern end of the town. Here, you'll find Harvest Golems ranging from level 13 to level 15. They're a good way to start. From there, heading down the street through the town leads you past Defias both inside the buildings and outside. If you blaze through the street running, you are likely to build a train of multiple Defias that will rip you to shreds, even at levels like 17 or 18. Take it slow. The Defias here include Looters and Pillagers, which work very well together and are best taken on at level 15, though to be safe I would say 16. There are also stables around the perimeter of the town containing...Fleshrippers. How a stable could possibly serve any purpose concerning buzzards is beyond me, but if you step into one, you will often have to fight two or three Fleshrippers at once, a task best left to those at level 16 or 17.

Going indoors is a bad move for those in the early levels appropriate for Moonbrook...15/16. Once you're 17/18/19, you can enter the buildings if you'd like. There's a Defias merchant on the second floor of the corner building in the west plaza, if you're interested as to what awaits you if you battle through both floors of the rather large building.

Again, the entrance to the Deadmines as at the south end of the fountain plaza at the west end of Moonbrook. The doorway may be a little hard to find...face the large building at the south end and look to the right. You'll find the door there. The first few rooms before heading down the spiral stairs are devoid of monsters and are often filled with parties organizing for Deadmines, so duck in there for a breather if Moonbrook is too harsh on you. As for venturing down into the Deadmines themselves, level 20 is a good time to go, though if you're very anxious, some parties will take in level 19s and perhaps even 18s, but don't expect to descend too deep...more on the Deadmines in its own section.

The Saldeans are going through tough times, now that their field is overrun with Harvest Golems (dangerous if you're below level 14). So, they'll send you on a variety of wacky quests that involve maiming the various wildlife in the area and returning them to the violent farmers, who will more often than not use them to cook food for you. Anyway, food will start to play a bigger role in Westfall, so start to keep some in your bag.

The unfortunate denizens of the Alexston Farmstead have been run out of house and home by the Defias Brotherhood. Defias members in this area include Looters (around level 11-14), Pillagers (12-15, and they're mages, just so you know), and Pathstalkers around the edges, which rank around 13-16 in level. They like to come in clusters, so be prepared to fight two or three at a time, worst case scenario.

Those familiar Harvest Watchers, level 10 to 14 or so, roam the fields as usual. Fleshrippers and Goretusks saunter around in the grass surrounding the farmstead. They should be no problem to those at level 14 and above.

Located west from Furlbrow's Pumpkin Farm, the Jangolode Mine should bring back memories of the trio of mines in Elwynn Forest. This one, however, is full of Defias. Namely, Defias Trappers and Defias Smugglers. You will also find Kobold Miners working with the Defias. The convoluted paths are reminiscent of the mines in Elwynn, but even veterans of those areas may accidentally get a bit disoriented. Since the place is thickly laden with aggressive, affiliated mobs, that's always a danger. The enemies here are usually around level 13-15, but often must be fought in pairs, or even in groups of three, a challenge best left for those closer to level 17 or 18.

The Furlbrows are not home, and with good reason. Though they remain by the road in front of the Jansen Stead (and give quests), their house and barn are under constant vigilance by the insidious Defias Brotherhood. The Defias hang out near the actual buildings, and include Smugglers and Trappers. These can vary in level, from a fairly low 12 to a more threatening 14. If you head inside the hut, be prepared to fight a named Defias mob called Benny Blaanco. He's level 15 and can catch new adventurers in Westfall off guard. If you enter the barnhouse (which is guarded by two Defias you must fight at the same time), you'll find three additional Defias inside. These can be Trappers and Smugglers, but often a Looter or two is in there. These guys are often level 14, and the smallness of the farmhouse makes it hard to avoid battle against two or three Defias at once. Be careful. These guys have annoying attacks, like freezing you in a trap to keep you from moving, or performing a skill that disarms you of your weapon for a few crucial seconds.

The fields of crops outside are guarded fiercely by Harvest Watchers, which more often than not are around level 14 and 15. It also feels as though their "aggro zone" is larger and thus can take notice of you and attack from a farther distance. So don't try to run between two Harvest Watchers...odds are both of them will give chase.

Aside from these foes, you'll find Coyotes, Young Goretusks, Young Fleshrippers, and camps of Riverpaw Gnolls and Riverpaw Scouts on the cliffs around the camp. These guys are a little stronger than their friends over near the Elwynn Forest gate, and range from around level 12 to level 15. The Young Fleshrippers are especially annoying, because running away from them is almost never an option. They're very fast.

That large expanse east of Moonbrook and south of the Alexston Farmstead is Demont's Place. I honestly have no idea who Demont is (possibly the former owner of the burnt-down husk of a house in this area), but the Defias have control of this area now. They've set up quite a few campgrounds here. You'll find Highwaymen, Knuckledusters, and Pathstalkers. These guys are usually 16 or 17 in level, but ocasionally may even hit 18. As such, they're definitely dangerous, and their tendency to add leads me to recommend you avoid them until you're around level 18, and even then, with extra caution.

Also, you may run into the occasional Riverpaw Gnoll camp (perhaps shared rent with the Defias) containing Riverpaw Brutes, Herbalists, and various other mixed sorts. These guys are a bit tough, and should be steered clear of until you're, at the least, level 15 or 16. Fleshrippers (aggro) and Goretusks (passive), the beasts of the area, clock in at around 13 or 14. Fleshrippers can be nuisances when battling higher-level hostiles.

Located on the west side of Westfall, Gold Coast Quarry is located on a slope that joins the fields of Westfall (north of the Alexston Farmstead) and the beaches of Longshore. Defias Looters and Pillagers make up the bulk of the brotherhood's forces inside and outside the mine. Anyone over level 15 can handle one, though, as with all Defias, their eagerness to link makes them a challenge even to those at 16 or 17, so watch your back.

Inside the mine, aside from more Defias, are Riverpaw Miners, which can also be dealt with at level 15 and above. Also, keep an eye out for the Defias Messenger. Because he doesn't "patrol" and instead follows a very long set path across a lot of Westfall, he's liable to run into you and give you your "death message". Again, 15 is the magic level, but he's a fast runner. If he flees from battle when his health is low, you're liable to lose him, and worse, watch as he runs into Defias that cause them to notice you.

As to what you'll find in the mine, I have camped it quite a few times now, and routinely encounter 3-4 copper veins, 2-3 tin veins, and 1 silver vein. There are also usually 2 "battered chests" to loot during a complete sweep of the mine. I have gotten some green items, mostly low level, but decent for disenchanting to yield mats. One thing you will get alot of in there as loot is minor mana potion and minor health potion, which is nice; and nearly every mob drops linen cloth, so it's a bandage roller's paradise /wink.

The Westfall Lighthouse is located just off the very tip of Longshore, at the southwest corner of Westfall. You'll have to do a spot of swimming to get there. Once there, you'll find nothing of interest other than a small dock and a ghost. This ghost, Captain Grayson, met a sad fate on the coasts of Longshore, and gives you a handful of quests involving the beaches, though one of them takes you across the farmland to fight Harvest Watchers for oil, so don't go looking for it on the beaches.

Of note, the quests he gives out can be completed by Horde characters, though I seriously advise being careful, as even Alliance characters of lower level than you will call for assistance in disposing of you. If you're set on avoiding detection, you can try swimming . You'll be harder to spot. Just don't draw attention to yourself.

On a whim, I took my 18 troll hunter to BB, swam to an outpost in STV, swam to some troll islands, then swan up coast past mountains to Westfall (watch for nasty Murlocks and Crocs on the way). Made my way through EF to Redridge, only to find the orcs I was familiar with from my ally chars were not friendly to me, either (very new at the time:P). I'm not a lowly ganker, but I sure scared a lot of low lvl players;) Got some good HK's in Redridge, till they brought in the high lvl's.!

The name says it quite well. Longshore is basically a very long beach that envelopes the entire eastern border of Westfall, up against the sea. The further south along Longshore you travel, the higher-leveled the enemies become. The majority of the enemies on the beach are Murlocs, who, like all humanoids, work in teams. Even level 20 characters can be overwhelmed by Murlocs at the very south tip of Longshore, so always keep their linking tendencies in mind.

The very north tip of the shore is easy to handle for those with a little experience Westfall at level 13/14 or so. Murloc Coastrunners and Raiders are common here. As Longshore begins to slope southeast a bit, you find Murloc Netters and Minor Oracles, which are more challenging and are suitable for those at level 15/16. As you reach the halfway point of the beach, you will begin to find Murloc Hunters, Oracles, and Warriors, even in the waters (in case you try to swim into the shopwrecks). These guys are best taken on at around level 17/18. Murloc Hunters are particularly difficult to fight because they often bring along a level 10-12 Crawler crab pet. Take caution. Finally, at the very south end of Longshore, you will find Tidehunters mixed in with the previous tier of Murlocs. These guys are dangerous to anyone below level 19, and even then are lethal when with links.

There are also nonaggressive beasts, crabs, in the area. Several small sections of beach are filled with crawler crabs and are almost always devoid of the hostile Murlocs, making them great to EXP off of. You'll find Sand Crawlers up near the top of Longshore, and they're good at around level 13/14. The area a bit north from the middle part of Longshore is home to Sea Crawlers, who reside in the waters and are about level 15/16. Finally, Shore Crawlers reside in the bottom part of Longshore and are good at around level 17/18, with occasional 19s at the very bottom end of the beach, but before the difficult Murloc camp at the extreme tip.

Nestled in the foothills that cover much of Westfall's central area, this sad little water hole is the only pond in Westfall. If you decide to fish here, you should be fine, as only Goretusk boars graze near the shore. A little distance away, Fleshrippers begin to roam the skies. These monsters range in level from around 11 to 14, and are aggressive and quick. It will be very hard to run from one. Be careful and be at least level 13 before taking them on. If you're not at least level 16, I would advise against travelling further south to Moonbrook or the fields and hills to the east of it. Those areas are deceptively hostile.

On your map, the Dagger Hills area is the large swath of flat land curving across the mountains at the bottom of the map. You can get there from the fields to the east of Moonbrook, but watch out for Riverpaws. That's the east access. The west access is from Demont's Place and is a bit tougher to deal with, so start with the east slope.

Loitering under the trees in the hills are high-level Defias. The most common are Highwaymen, Knuckledusters, and Pathstalkers. They vary in range from levels 15 to 18, though the middle ground of 17 is the most common. Take care to avoid links between Defias!

A more rare, but still present, Defias in this area is the Renegade Mage, and is usually in the level 18/19 range. They're found in encampments located in grooves and indentations in the rock forming the south "wall" of the hills. They are often standing near other Defias and can definitely put a dent in even level 20/21 characters. I don't think you'll be able to take them on during your first stay in Westfall unless you grind through level 19, 20, and 21.

The Dead Acre is just another farm of the many in Westfall, but likely to be the last one you'll spend time in. It's located a little to the north of the path heading east and into Duskwood. In the area to the north, and the southwest, you'll find the most powerful versions of the Westfall beasts. Greater Goretusks and Greater Fleshrippers are in those areas, and can be safely engaged at level 16-18, depending on the target mob's level.

The farm itself...the buildings are guarded by Defias Highwaymen and Knuckledusters, in the gist of level 17. The crop field is maintained by Harvest Reapers, also in the level 16-18 range. Like always, I would advise you give them a wide berth if you want to pass by them...their aggro range seems a little big.

Though the name is quite bland, and the actual location (the southeastern half of the bottom area of Westfall) not especially worth going to for sightseeing, it is the most dangerous area in all of Westfall. The area itself is crowded with a huge concentration of Riverpaws. Riverpaw Bandits, Brutes, and Taskmasters are in the areas closer to the road. However, they're still very challenging, but manageable at level 17, 18, and 19. Moving in deeper, i.e. towards the south border, you'll find Riverpaw Mystics tossed in, mages that are challengeable at level 19/20. If you come right up to the south wall, you'll find Riverpaw Overseers, which are more often than not level 20, and can pack quite a punch to even level 21 and 22 characters.

STRONGLY CONSIDER that Riverpaws in this area are laid thick open the ground. It will be hard to isolate them one-by-one. Right up to the mid-20s, this area will pose a significant threat. If you really need Riverpaw loot, you can chance a trip into the area, but if you need EXP, there are less risky alternatives, like the crabs on the beach or even the Defias in the Dagger Hills. That's right, even Defias would be a safer bet.

There is a tower, located all the way in the very southeastern corner of this area, that is the single most dangerous point in Westfall. The Dust Plains were bad, but nothing compared to this. This tower, a sort of joint base for Venture Co. and the Defias, is filled with undead mobs and humanoid mobs.

The undead mobs are Defias Drone and Venture Co. Drone. They'll be around level 21 or 22. The humanoids are Defias Tower Patroller (around level 22-24) and Defias Tower Sentry (level 24/25). If you want to check out this tower, you will need to either group up or come back a little later in the game. Again, watch for links. This is a heavily guarded and dangerous location.

The Jansens aren't home, and their farm has been overrun by Defias Footpads. They're not really challenging to anyone over level 10, and if you're in Westfall to quest or level, you definitely should be around level 11 or 12, at least.

Roaming the fields surrounding the Jansen house are Rusty Harvest Golems. Despite their size and appearance, they're also very beatable for anyone around level 10 or 11. The same goes for the monsters roaming the riverside, which include Young Goretusks, Coyotes, and Young Fleshrippers. They all have fierce-sounding names, but are in reality no threat if you're, again, level 11 or 12.

If you wander around the cliffs overlooking the sea, keep an eye out for a Gnoll camp. Riverpaw Gnolls and Riverpaw Scouts can be found sneering over their fires in clusters of three or four, though usually a couple patrol a little distance away. Gnolls can be handled at level 11 or 12, but Scouts are a little higher-level, clocking in around 13. They use ranged weapons and that damage can add up over time if you're fighting the Gnolls while the Scouts take potshots at you. So get a level or two before trying to take on the Gnolls.

Like many of the farms in Westfall, the Molsen Farm (located south of Jangolode mine and west of Saldean's Farm) has been seized by Defias and their confounded contraptions, the Harvest Watchers (level 13-15, take care when encroaching on their crop field due to their wide aggro range). The Defias in question here are comprised of Smugglers and Trappers, all fair game if you're at level 14 or 15.

Coyotes and Coyote Packleaders, as well as the ever-present Goretusks and Fleshrippers, are beasts in the general vicinity of the farm. They're all in the 13-14 level range.
