Almost every quest with the Tranquillien grants 1000 rep, one of the higher quests grants up to 8000.

According to Warcraft RPG: Lands of Conflict, the high elves first landed in the Ghostlands (also known as the Blackened Woods), southwest of Silvermoon and north of Stratholme. Their fleet landed on the beaches of the kingdom men would later call Lordaeron. Forging inland, the high elves founded a settlement within the tranquil Tirisfal Glades. After a few years, many of them began to go mad. It was theorized that something evil slept beneath that particular part of the world, but the rumors were never proven to be true. The high elves packed up their encampment and moved northward towards another land rich with ley energies.

The Ghostlands is a level 10-20 zone that will be implemented in the Burning Crusade expansion. Currently, parts of the zone appears on the world map north of the Eastern Plaguelands. It borders on Eversong Woods in the north, and is the location of the forest troll instance Zul'Aman.

Also known as the Blackened Woods, little is known of this shadowy region of Quel'thalas. The blood elves burned these woodlands to give the Scourge as pyrrhic a victory as possible. It is likely that vengeful phantoms of the battles with the Scourge and a majority of the undead remnants left over from the invasion of Quel'Thalas still linger here.

The town is operated by the Tranquillien - which is a new faction comprised of blood elves and undead seeking to purge the Scourge from the Ghostlands. All quests that you do for them will get you at least 1K rep each. There is a rep vendor in the town near the inn who will sell you level 10 greens and even a blue (exalted) depending on your rep level. If you do all the Tranquillien quests, you should be max-exalted by level 20 or so. The town of Tranquillien has an inn, mailbox, forge, several vendors, and many quest NPCs.

There are a variety of quests mostly concerning reclaiming overrun villages, investigating undead and helping around.

Overall, this will be a fun new area for horde to level and will hopefully be an improvement from the "dreaded" barrens.

I just completed all the quests I could find in the Ghostlands, and am now Exalted with Tranquillien. It was pretty easy. Every quest gave me 1000 Reputation. The one chain quest gave me 3000 Reputation.

It makes me sad to report, that I tried doing low-level Blood Elf Quests and Tranqillien stuff on my Lv. 60 - to no avail.

The Rep gains for Silvermoon appeared to be reduced by about 90% - the Rep gains for Tranqillien seemed to be reduced by about 75%.

Wether or not this is permanent, I do not know. I found it odd, since I can do different low level Quests on the same character and get full Rep gains since they implemented that in a recent patch.

Hopefully, it is only like this to stop 60s from camping the zone for Rep - and will only last awhile to let the Blood Elves get high level and settled.

There is no way to reach above 999/1000 Exalted with Tranquillen, unless perhaps you are a Blood Elf.

Ah, Tranquillien. I didn't leave before I became exalted with them (did all available quests). The transition into normal Horde life is rather daunting but thoroughly satisfying. Would you like to know why? By getting Exalted, you have likely attained level 20... COMPLETELY BYPASSING THE BARRENS. Come on, type it with me now... /cheer, /dance. You've got choices to make, now. Where to go? I advise you to hit up Stonetalon Mountains, and break it off halfway through to clean out Ashenvale, then finish Stonetalon's quests (harpies, the forest magic quest). Then it's back to the normal quest progression.. Thousand needles, etc.

Unfortunately, the green (Uncommon) reputation items require level 10 and 12. Considering that you'll likely be level 16 to get all of them, they are not as useful as what you can buy from the auction house.

That said, they might be a lot cheaper than what you can get from the auction house. If you're on your first character without a lot of gold, this is a great way to get some gear.

The whole zone and quest structure is also very well put together. It's considerably better than Blizzard's earlier work, and a lot of fun.

The level 18 (exalted) cloak is great, no doubt about it.

I want the exalted blue cloak for my lvl 18 twink (1/4 way towards lvl 19) but I haven't yet done any quests yet in the BE starting zone. Given that most quests are grey/green (ie. incurring a % rep penalty for completing quests well below my level (BE zone only apparently)) is it still possible to reach exalted since I'm no longer getting 1k rep per quest?

Ideally I'd like to know if farming turn-ins for repeatable quests (on my 70 main to avoiding dinging 20 on my twink) will continue to land me 500rep per turn in all the way til 999/1000.

Ie. quests...

1) More Rotting Hearts
2) More Spinal Dust

So will this work?

Good to know is that there is a path behindthe village over the mountains to get much quicker to the farstrider retreat. I found out at level 18 i could have saved myself the trouble.

i was like 13 when i got to tranquillien and i leveled up so quick i didn't even know i was it was real quick and the quest are real close together so its easy to level up.

I love this place, the invorment, the gear upgrades as you fast reach exalted with Tranquillien. A big change from the boring, old "desert like" Barrens. And as I more or less stated before, the place itself has a faction!

The Reputation for "The Traitor's Destruction" is 8000 or whatever is left to get to Exalted Status.

Does anyone know if there is a similar Faction like this one for the Dranei side for levels 10-20? I have a Blood Elf and a Dranei .. and on my Dranei I haven't found anything similar yet.

This is a low level faction for the Horde, situated in silvermoon peninsula, in Ghostlands. It rewards you for doing missions in ghostlands (most of them award 250 rep for each mission complete)
This way nobel players are introduced to the faction reward system and also a good way to gear your character before it can enter an instance.

This rep gives about 1000 rep per turn in of a quest there are a select number of quests that give 2k 3k and even 8k rep almost exalted with my hunter whos 18

this is good for getting blue stuff at low levels. I am currently Exalted on 3 of my characters, to do all the quests for it is done in the matter of 3 hours. The cape looks good, much like the sentry cape and gives 7 sta. or 70 health - does it for a warrior, pala or rogue=)

Don't forget the benefits of +7 Stamina for a Warlock at this level...makes doing all those Tranquillen quests worthwhile for several classes.

well, when every server (if not all, then the vast majority) has a higher alliance to horde ratio, maybe adding small things like this and a more attractive horde looking character is an attempt to rebalance server numbers?

I hate how this faction exists. I'd rather have Silvermoon rep with spillover than a bunch of blues that won't be useful for more than ten levels.

there is a level 18ish quest i believe called "rotting hearts" and another called "spinal dust". These require you to essentially get 10spinal dust and 10rotting hearts. After you turn them in they become repeatable quest called "More spinal dust https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=9219/more-spinal-dust" and "More rotting hearts https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=9217/more-rotting-hearts". By doing these you can gain rep but no exp. To add, the dust and hearts are not soulbound so you can have a high level character run through and kill everything and get these items for you and then u turn them in over and over. This way you gain no extra exp and can get as much rep as needed. You get +500 rep each time.

the Tranquillien faction i think is just blizzard's way of making up for the fact that all of the alliance factions start out friendly with each other while the horde has half of the reps are neutral

So, is there any real late-game benefit to getting Exalted with Tranquilien, or was this an enormous waste of time? (Granted, the quests were great experience and filled in alot of gaps in the story for me, but is there any tangible benefit to be gained?)

Every alliance out there, look at something really quickly.
Most of the gear you get from being Friendly/Honored/Revered isn't half as good as quest items you get. I have a BE rogue, and BE Warlock, I've replaced all the gear I've gotten from Tranq with gear I've gotten from quests. Honestly the only 2 half good items are the cape, and the 2h Sword...and only the Paladins can really use the 2h sword..so Its kind of pointless to complain that we get better gear, because I mean, 4 Agi on a chest piece at level 15 (or whenever you get revered with Tranq) isn't that good...Its kind of sad you guys would cry about this.

Oh please dont even start, I roll 3 horde and 2 alliance, I never even ran RFC cos of the junk in it, and the defias set from Deadmines blows the #$%^ off of anything that the horde instances have, also.. if your lv ally 15-25 and you cant get to WC, SFK, RFK, RFD YOU FAIL EPICALLY! Southshore FP? Ratchet FP? *!@# YOUR SET TO GO! quit QQ all of you, and if there is one imbalance I can say, is that alliance is favored, simply because they are on the rise historically, men have a greater fate than all of the ancient races. also my 53 nelf hunter has yet to EVER be killed by a horde guard because they run so slow (even without cheetah stance on) I run my 45 warrior past an alliance guard and its like they had dash or something, 2 whacks and dead.

Honestly the Cape is the only thing worthwhile for this faction...everything else just sucks.

If they had something like a unique engineering schmatic or something I could understand the QQ, but seriously...Tranquilien doesn't offer much more then the +7 stam Cape...WOooooOOW

Once a high elf town, Tranquillien became abandoned after the Scourge invaded Quel'Thalas. It has now been reclaimed by the Forsaken and the blood elves who seek to rid the Ghostlands of the Scourge.
