This faction is found in Zangarmarsh by the entrance from Hellfire Peninsula. They offer several quests independent from reputation. The main method of increasing reputation is to collect Unidentified Plant Parts from mobs in the zone and turn them in 10 at a time for reputation and a chance at an item that starts a quest for some more rep. Higher reputation mostly grant access to healing and druid gear along with several recipes for various tradeskills.

I would recommend going Slavepens and/or Underbog until you hit honored, do the quests afterwards.

I've already begun a few of the Cenarion Expedition quests, but only turned in the ones that would result in better gear (like 2 quests).

I believe that I can get away with doing the quests now, then turn them in once I get to Honored. This allows me to get the xp and then I can just run around the hub city turning in all the completed quests.

Please let me know if I'm way off base with this idea.

I have a question. I do know you can turn in theese, Unidentified Plant Parts, for reputation with Cenarion Expedition _until_ honored. And after you can turn in Coilfangs from The Steamvaults. BUT, can you just keep running The Steamvaults and keep turning in the Coilfangs until Exalted? Or is it any faster way (if you are allready done with allmost _all_ quests)?

Not really sure about turning in things to get past honored here but I wanted to add that herbalists can get some double faction going if they kill the bog lords in the spawning glen.

You get +15 Sporeggar rep per bog lord kill which is pretty decent, you also can herbalize these guys (315 skill for the level 63's and 320 skill for the level 64's) and often times get herbs and unidentified plant parts as well. The plant parts as most of you know can be turned in at the Cenarion Expedition for reputation with them. So as you grind one reputation out you get items towards another! It is a win win situation!

Oh and in case anyone was wondering the Bog Lords do not give you skill ups to herbalism, I was kinda bummed about that actually ;)

So far the best way I have to get rep is to buy up all the Unidentified Plant Parts you need to go from Neutral to Honored. Do not turn in the bonus rep plants that you get back until after you are honored. Then do all the CE quests in HP, Zangar, TF, and BEM. This should put you at, or just short of revered. Finish up by grinding out instances and hard mode till you are exalted.

Repeatable Reputation Quests:
- Plants of Zangarmarsh - Turn in 10 Unidentified Plant Parts for 250 reputation and a Package of Unidentified Parts. 5% of each Package contains a "Unidentified Species", turn-in-able at any reputation level for 500 reputation.
This quest is no longer available at Honored.
- Coilfang Armaments - Drops from Steamvault (68-70, both Heroic and non-Heroic.) Each is turn-in-able for 75 reputation.

Reputation points available from quests per zone:
- Hellfire Peninsula - 1,545
- Zangarmarsh - 4,775
- Terokkar Forest - 1,350 (+25 for Alliance)
- Coilfang Reservoir - 1,760
- Netherstorm - 750
- Blade's Edge Mountains - 4,220

Instance reputation:
- Until the end of Friendly, Slave Pens mobs give outstanding reputation -- 15 points per kill. This ends at the end of Friendly.
- Reputation gains can be made (to the tune of ~300 per run) in the Underbog until the end of Honored.
- Both Heroic and non-Heroic Steamvaults give excellent reputation all the way to Exalted.

Non-instance reputation:
- Naga in Zangarmarsh will give 10 reputation per kill until the end of Friendly.

Not much here for a cloth DPS like mage or warlock. Only really the ring but its a lot of work to get to Exhalted when there are rings which are just as good from boss drops.

I would say a must for a leather based class.

Best way ot get rep with these guys is right from the get go about 300 plant parts that arnt terribly expensive on AH will get you from nothing to honored thereby putting you well ahead when you start getting rep for all the zangarmarsh quests
once up to steam vaults coilfang armaments wil give you extra rep

1.) Buy/Farm 360 plant parts (9k rep) and turn them all in.
2.) After you hit honored turn in any of the bonus plants you might have gotten as a reward. They are about a 10% drop rate.
3.) Do every quest for the CE. Zones include Zangarmarsh (includes the 5 mans), Hellfire Peninsula, Blade's Edge, Terrakor Forest, and Netherstorm. This should put you into Revered.
4.) Run Steamvaults and turn in any Coilfang Armaments that you find.

Just to confirm. I didnt do any CE quests (other than unidentified plant turn ins) until I hit honored. I basically ran CF until then. Once honored did all CE quests in Zang, Tekk and Blades Edge. Hit revered on last CE quest.

So you can hit revered by level 67 without running steamvaults :)

By far the fastest way to get the unidentified plant parts is to farm the Mudfin Frenzies (fish) in Serpent Lake. They have about a 25% drop rate on the plant parts, but they have low hit points, so they die quickly.

They also drop grey items every single time. These stack up to 20 and are worth decent coin. So, this grind is fairly lucrative. Make sure that you have plenty of bag space!

They come in linked groups of four, and have a very large social aggro range. In fact, they are attracted to any combat in the area, even if it isn't with another frenzy. Be prepared to drop them with area-of-effect spells, as you may find yourself soloing 12 of them at once. Bring along some way to breathe underwater and some healing potions, in case you get overwhelmed.

Kill 1500 of them to get your 360 plant parts and grey items worth around 180 gold.

I just went through this process taking my son's priest in tow. The optimum way if you are going to get sporregar rep to is to start with bog lords first. They can drop unidentified plants (save them), and you can 'skin' their corpse with herbalism for even more. Once you hit friendly you can go to Sporregar and get the quest to kill 12x slave holder, 12x enchantress. Do this quest now and over and over again until you hit friendly with CE. Each repeat is 750 sporregar rep and you gather more plant parts doing so. Then go east of the spawning grounds to hunt the higher level 64-65 bog lords for plant parts. They drop motes of life and the spawn there is steady with not much chasing. By the time you have enough plant parts to hit honored on turn in, sporregar rep should be close to capped from bog lords (15 rep a kill til revered). At this point start doing CE quests in Hellfire, Zangamarsh, and Blade's edge. This should take you easily into revered. After that is done, go run Steamvaults til exalted.

I would advise everyone to skip all the Cenarion Expedition quests while leveling to 70. There are plenty of other quests to be found to get you there, plus experience from dungeons along the way. The main reason I recommend this is because it's very easy and profitable to go back once you hit 70 and do all these quests in order to raise your reputation with the Cenarion Expedition. At 70 nearly all of their quests are soloable very quickly, even quicker if you've got a flying mount, and the best part is you'll end up with 1000-1500 gold after all is said and done. The gold from all the quests really adds up fast, plus the experience you no longer need converts to extra gold, and all the gear you get will likely go right to vendor or disenchanting anyway. It's easy enough to get to 70 without the experience from these quests, and I'd say 1500g is a pretty nice trade-off.

So far I've done almost all the Zangarmarsh quests, all the Hellfire Peninsula quests, and all the Blade's Edge quests and I'm 8929/12000. I still have all the Terrokar Forest quests to do, so I should be there pretty soon with minimal repeated Steamvaults runs and very few Coilfang Armament turn-in's.

As of 2.1.0, it is possible to buy reagents and repair at a vendor outside of the Coilfang instances. There, it is also possible to buy zone-specific (Coilfang instances) mana and health potions for Coilfang Armaments. The vendor is only interactable at Exalted.

A thiny add : Creature named "Terrorclaw" (this creature isnt in the dungeon btw) gives you rep even after honored.
+7 not a great way to get revered but rep is rep. Please keep in mind. :)

You do not have to run a single instance or cash in a single Coilfang Armament to get to Revered with this faction.

Neutral - Friendly: Feel free to do quests for CE, BUT DON'T CASH THEM IN! Get as many Unidentified Plant Parts as you can and cash them in to get to Friendly. You will likely need to buy them from the AH but they arn't expensive. Don't cash in any Uncatalogued Plant Species until Friendly.

Friendly-Revered: Cash in all Unidentified Plant species, you will likely have one or two. Do all the CE quests in Hellfire, Zangarmarsh and Blades Edge and that will get you the Key to the Zangarmash Heroic instances. I was 100 points from revered when I thought I had no quests left to do, then I discovered "Count" Ungula who patrols south of Zebra'jin in Zangarmarsh, killing him starts a quest that rewards you with a couple gold and 250 rep.

I was level 66 when I got the key.

1) Grind "Bog" named ones and turn the plants u get from them until honored (these creatures give also Sporeggar rep till exalted)
2) After honored turn Uncatalogued Species (u get from plant bags) and to all CE rep giving quests.
There u are revered :P
But if u wanna exalted
3) Run 10-15 times SV.
There u are exalted :P
That' is so easy.

New Flying Mount added. Requires 2,000g and Exalted with Cenarion Expedition. (280% Speed)

I think it was a smart move to give these guys so many druid rep rewards (e.g. Earthwarden and the clefthoof set) - it encourages druids to help a faction that is comprised mostly of other druids, which makes sense really :)

Another way to gain rep that I didn't see mentioned here:
If you get Ethereal Keys and open the prisons in Netherstorm there's a chance to find a Cenarion Druid inside. He ports home and tells everyone about his gallant rescuer, giving you 500 rep. Not the most reliable way to farm, but good if you also want Consortium rep. Still works at Honored, haven't confirmed if it's all the way to Exalted.

Note that the official Blizzard rep page still says you can turn in Unidentified Plant Parts for reputation at Exalted. This isn't entirely true.

If you are below Honored, you can turn in Unidentified Plants for the Package of Identified Plants. Inside that Package, sometimes you'll find Uncataloged Species. You can turn in Uncataloged Species at ANY reputation level to gain 500 rep.

However, if you are already Revered or Exalted, you cannot turn in Unidentified Plant Parts for the Package of Identified Plants. Therefore, you have no chance to find any Uncataloged Species, since you're never given a Package of Identified Plants.

So the moral of the story is to save every Uncataloged Species you find, and turn them in after Revered. If you're after the Cenarion Rep rewards it will benefit you to grind as many Unidentified Plant Parts as you can before you hit Revered, because it will be a one-shot, one-way gamble that your hundreds of Plant Parts may turn into Uncataloged Species.

Bogstrok Terrorclaw in one of the Marshlight Lake's islands yields +7 reputation for each kill - at least from friendly till honored.

It respawns fast and you can grind the unidentified plant parts here easily, as the bogstroks have high, 30% chance of dropping them. Don't be afraid to change islands. All three are useful for this, the northern and the southern have the bogstroks, with nagas in the middle.

I think that druid starting place should be moonglade and only able to talk with other moonglade factions like CC or CE so druid would be there own little race it would be cool like when u meet a new faction u start out netruel that should be that for CC or CE druids to gain rep in other place EX: stormwind But no one would like this just thrown this out there but at least be are the most important class for night elfs and tuarn.

im currently running underbog and some of the mobs here still give 15 rep and im currently 3200/12000. i hope there is a faster way to rep grind though, getting groups for approx 300-500 per run seems kinda slow =(

You get rep when you kill nagas in the Steamvault instance in Coilfang. you also get items you can deliver for 75 rep each, if you get a dropable quest from the instance.

You can gain rep various ways for CE, just like any other Outland faction:

1. Quests
2. Unidentified Plant Parts (till you reach honored)
3. Running instances. (Slave Pens and Underbog till you reach Honored - some in Underbog still give you rep beyond, Steam Vaults or Heroic Instances beyond)
4. Coilfang Armaments once you get the quest item drop in SteamVaults - These will function past revered.

There are plenty of ways to earn reputation, and the plant parts/armaments aren't soulbound, so purchasing these off of other players is always an option.

you cant get CE rep for plant parts or for running colfang instances if you are past honored.

so here is how it is done.

1: NO NOT TOUCH A SINGLE CE QUEST (except for the unidentified plant part quest) UNTILL YOU ARE HONORED.

2: collect plant parts or/while waiting for a group for either underbog or the slave pens

3: repeat until honored

4: do ALL the CE quests you can find, this should bring you all the way to revered.

5: run steamvaults until exalted.

this way is the best way, especially while leveling, if you do the quests first then you will be stuck from at honored or revered with no way to gain rep until you are high enough to run steamvaults, and even that isnt as fast.

EDIT: i am now 69, and exalted with the CE. i will likely get my EW tonight.

If you're gonna grind plant parts and then quest here is my recommendation: Kill the mudfin frenzies in Serpent Lake. It seemed to me that I had at least a 50% drop rate from a pack of fish (4 are linked). (Yes, thott has plant parts listed as about 22% drop from them. but test for yourself). As a hunter the easiest thing to do was drop an explosive trap (yes underwater), send pet in,kill first fish and then multi-shot the next three (once pet had drawn aggro of pack into smaller group). The fishies have very low hp.

I went from about 500/6000 friendly to honored in about 2 hours. Hopefully the drop rate hasn't been nerfed with patches. But it was extremely quick and efficient.

Constantly running Steamvaults and Heroic Coilfang Reservoir can be slightly impractical. I noticed that the non-elite wastewalker slaves in Heroic Slave Pens each give 12 rep apiece, and you can easily stealth through as a druid and kill them. You can also pull the elite slaves in Steamvaults without pulling the Slavemasters there. I did this for my last 1k rep, and I kind of wished I had though of it earlier, so I thought I would post it. The stealthing can be a little difficult, though.

Here is my 2c on the best way to gain rep:

Do not complete any quests until you have turned in unidentified plant parts up to honored!
This includes the quests that are in Hellfire.

1. Gathering Plant Parts - Best mob to grind plant parts on are mudfin frenzies. They have a good drop rate. They have low hp and are linked in groups of 4. Pull in one the rest follow, then use an AoE to burn them down.
Then in no particular order
- Complete Hellfire and Zangamarsh quests.
- Complete instance quests in Slave Pens and Underbog
- Complete quests in Blade's Edge Mountains. Ruuan Weald village in NE area has the CE quests.
- Steam Vault. There is one quest to pick up on the outside entrance and on the inside you should pick up a letter that starts another CE quest. During the run you will/should come across Coilfang Armaments. 1 CA = 75 rep after the initial turn in. The Armament will complete the quest for the letter you picked up.
- Then grind Steam Vault if necessary to get to revered.
EDIT: - Found quest in Stormspire, Netherstorm. Quest giver is at base of elevator to the left. She gives a 3-step chain, Flora of the Eco-Dome, super easy worth a total of 750 CE rep.

I didn't do the faction gains in this order. I wish I had though as I would have been well into revered by now. As it stands I am 9/12k honored with about 1/2 of the quests left to complete in Blade's Edge. Collecting the plant parts first before any quest completion would have made a huge difference!

the slaves and slave masters in the steamvault (mentioned by a guy below) are in fact soloable, i have been soloing them to grind faction in between lfg there.

i solo them in bear form wearing tank gear, and tho it is quite slow it is definately doable. the gear im wearing isnt that uber either, self buffed im at 13.3k hp, 18.5k armor, 416 defence. wearing clefthoof with 12 sta and 4 def +6 sta gems, wielding braxxis staff.

Easiest way to get revered is by doing the repeatable quest to turn in Plant Parts like ppl have said. Turning in the plant parts will get you to honored and then youll have to do all the CE quests to get to revered, and remember there is some quests in TF and in the SW part of zanger. To get from 0 neutral to honored you will need 360 plant parts (9000 rep). I plan to buy all of mine from the AH and will prob make a lot of the gold back with all the trash you get from the bag you get.

BEFORE YOU DO ANY QUESTS IN ZANGA, kill for the unidentified plant parts. turn those in until u are Honored then do the quests...found out it takes a lot less time that way... otherwise u find urself here looking for ways to build up rep

One more possible way to gain reputation with CE is to do the repeatable Consortium reputation quest in Netherstorm when you collect Ethereum Prison Keys and open the pink prison spheres. In addition to the usual mobs spawning from them you sometimes get captive NPC-s. If such an NPC is freed with the key you gain 500 rep from his/her faction. So far I had one Lower City and one CE guy and got 500 rep from LC / CE for them. But I think its not worth grinding CE rep this way as the chances are quite low.
