Jack of All Trades - With Mistweaver's versatile talent choices and two well-defined talent builds for raid healing (with different combinations for more specific encounters), we're one of the most versatile healers when it comes to preparing for a fight. If your group approaches the fight a different way, you have the ability to tailor your playstyle more to shoring up a potential weakness.

Sustained Single Target Healing - In Battle for Azeroth, tank healing is no longer about passive cleave or fire-and-forget HoT effects. Most progression fights will see you actively casting on the tanks to ensure their survivability. Nebbia del Sollievo and Nebbia Avvolgente are incredibly potent at ensuring a single target's survival over a given period of time.

Melee Immunity - Certain mechanics will not target Mistweavers, whereas they may target other healers, giving us more uptime on healing.

Mobility - As a Monk, Mistweavers have a lot of baseline mobility in Capriola and Trascendenza, along with our Level 30 talents to augment Capriola or add another mobility spell in Brama della Tigre.

Survivability - While mobility plays heavily into this, allowing you to quickly move out of dangerous areas, our defensives are there for unavoidable mechanics. Birra Fortificante and Dispersione della Magia / Diminuzione del Dolore can prevent lethal damage.

Tocco Mistico - Even with the size of raid groups, it may still be possible that you're the only available Monk on a fight. Damaging enemies to apply this debuff is a lot of free damage for your physical damage dealers.

Mistweaver Monk Weaknesses in Raids

Mana Gameplay - While playing a Mistweaver, you really need to be conscious of your mana, especially in longer, more involved fights. Spirito della Gru allows you to be more liberal with spell casts, at the expense of taking time from Nebbia del Sollievo channeling in order to damage enemies (which has its own merits and is the focal point of the Kickweaving raid healing build).

Unexpected Burst Damage - In raids, a majority of the damage in your raid is telegraphed and predictable. However, when there is unexpected burst damage, Mistweavers can hemorrhage mana to help recover.

Level 15 - Velo Avvolgente

Since players will be naturally spread, Scarica del Chi will lose effectiveness, but if it is angled through as many players as possible, it can easily replace Velo Avvolgente.

The ranged player tanking Zaxasj l'Oratore will be taking constant damage throughout the fight.

Players who are hit with the Assalto Cerebrale cone will be unable to be healed for the duration of the debuff. If other players damage them, they may require a burst of healing when the debuff naturally expires.

Promesse di Potere is a debuff that can be dispelled, but is up to the raid leader's strategy as to when it should be dispelled. It increases a player's damage, while also lowering their maximum health, so it would be advantageous for players to have as much uptime on this buff as possible. Be ready to dispell players when it is called by the raid lead.

Before the Void Stone is activated, make sure that the raid is nearly topped off, as no one will be healable while the boss's Scudo Ombroso is active.

During this time, deal damage to the boss with the shield active, as that would allow you to get back to healing the group.

Tempesta dell'Annichilimento will deal constant raid wide ticking damage.

This part of the fight is most likely to have raid-wide healing cooldowns assigned to keep the raid alive.

Void Stone - When used, the Scudo Ombroso will be applied to yourself. This reduces all healing from both allies and enemies by 100%, making it possible to counteract mechanics that heal the enemies. To end this effect, you'll need to break the shield by taking damage.

Players will take damage when crossing the beams from Sguardo Penetrante di N'zoth.

Damage dealing players will be using the Tempest Caller relic, which has the same properties as it had in the previous raid fight; any players under 25% health while this is active will die. However, this effect extends to the adds of this fight, so be prepared to keep the raid healthy when this relic is used.

When Creatura del Vuoto Brulicantes die (outside of use of the Tempest Caller), they will inflict a burst of raid wide damage.

In Phase Three, the boss casts Dono di N'zoth: Pazzia upon reaching full energy. This essentially makes all other players unhealable for 5 seconds, while being able to damage one another. Be prepared to heal allies who may take a lot of damage in this short amount of time.

Crucible of Storms Gear

Guanti del Patto Immortale has an on-use effect with a 90 second cooldown. When used, this effect will heal you for 25% of the healing that up to 5 allies in 20 yards received, up to a maximum cap. This effect can be incredibly useful in healing intensive parts of a fight, but can have a tendency to overheal. This item should be used for survivability instead of padding ones healing throughput.

Verga della Cabala Annegata is a staff with no secondary stats, but a fairly unique on-use effect. When used, the staff will leave a buff on an ally that will heal them for a set amount when they take damage equal to or greater than a specific amount, which would be the same size of the heal. With a 40 second cooldown, this can smooth a player's damage intake, but would have to be fairly reliable to see any major use.

Gambiere del Saggio delle Maree Aberrante have an equip effect that is easier to proc when dealing damage, which is unreliable for a healer. However, when above 60% health, your damaging abilities have a chance to deal more damage, while below 60% health, your damaging attacks have a chance to heal yourself. Mistweavers are able to proc this effect relatively reliably because of Scarica del Chi, but the extra healing is not a substantial amount, especially when it requires one to be under 60% health. Extra damage as a healer is nice, but should not be used over better statted gear.

While Tridente dell'Oceano Profondo] can technically be used by a Mistweaver, do not equip this. The complete lack of both secondary and primary stats as a baseline is just awful. It is better suited for classes that have lower baseline primary stats from this weapon slot.

Pietra del Vuoto absorbs a substantial amount of damage on a target, but also absorbs healing. The two effects share the same absorb pool, so it would be best to apply this on a player that is near full health, but is in danger of taking a spike of damage.

Stivali Planatempesta can work for Mistweaver players, but would only be beneficial on fights where one is not casting frequently enough that their autoattacks are consistent to keep the buff up. This will likely see a lot of play during farm content, but on progression, an item that has more consistent stats would be preferable.
