What is Mythic+?

I'm Azortharion, hailing from the cold north of Denmark. Marksmanship Hunter Affix Cheat Sheet

Affix	Recommended Talents
Rosso Sangue	Use Trappola ad Alto Potenziale to knock casters out of Sanguine pools.
Perfidia	Use Intrappolamento as an extra way to stop Spitefuls.
Incorporeità	Use Trappola Congelante on Incorporeal. Try to avoid Incorporeals in Melee, as other targets can "munch" the Trap. Consider speccing Terrore Animale for a guaranteed additional CC.

Dealing with Weekly Affixes as a Marksmanship Hunter

Marksmanship Hunters have a few different tools to deal with Dungeon affixes and to help their group with them. You can check a couple of highlights below.

Simply using Disimpegno for this is invaluable due to Velocità di Fuga breaking its effect.

Use Trappola ad Alto Potenziale to remove mobs from Sanguine pools.

Aspetto della Tartaruga will prevent applications of Bursting on large pulls.

Tiro Tranquillizzante is your best friend here!

Use Intrappolamento as an extra way to stop Spitefuls.

Use Trappola Congelante to stop the adds. You could even spec Terrore Animale, although this is a rather costly Utility point for this purpose.

As you are relatively mobile, you can run around and intentionally stand in these if it is safe, to safe your teammates from having to deal with them.

Marksmanship Hunter Viability In Mythic+

Marksmanship's primary strength in Mythic+ is some of the best burst AoE in the game. Almost no other spec can reach the peak numbers of Marksmanship, within its AoE cap of 6 or 8, depending on your Talent Choices. It is relatively weak on single-target and outside of its cooldowns. It has the worst utility and arguably survivability of almost any spec for most Mythic+, but if you can kill a pack before it kills you, Marksmanship is fantastic fun for medium-level keys.

Rabbia Primordiale: The Hunter Bloodlust

Yes, Marksmanship Hunters can Bloodlust too, but it comes at a price. To use Rabbia Primordiale, we must have a Ferocity pet summoned, which is inconvenient when we would prefer not to use a Pet at all. The best way to handle this is to pre-cast Congedo: Famiglio before the pack or boss where you want to use Rabbia Primordiale. Then, at the very end of the Congedo: Famiglio cast, you activate Rabbia Primordiale. This is possible since Rabbia Primordiale is technically a Pet spell, and therefore can be cast while casting a normal Hunter Spell. This way, you save yourself the 3-second cast of Congedo: Famiglio while still benefiting from Rabbia Primordiale.

In scenarios where you have to use Rabbia Primordiale in the middle of a pack or boss encounter, we do not recommend dismissing at all - save it for after combat ends.

Tiro Tranquillizzante: Dispelling Buffed Mobs

Tiro Tranquillizzante is stronger in Mythic+ than in raids. It is especially useful on the Raging affix, but most dungeons have dispellable buffs that you want to snipe as soon as possible to save your tank or group from damage.

Mimetizzazione: Skipping packs without Stealth

Mimetizzazione can save you from the DPS loss of using invisibility potions, and also heals you out of combat which can be useful if your healer died and is running back.

Tiro di Contrasto: Our Interrupt

It goes without saying, but your kick, Tiro di Contrasto is your most important bit of utility in any group. Use it liberally and learn the most important spells to kick, and which ones can be skipped!

Trappola Congelante and Tiro Disorientante: Our "stops"

Since we do not use a pet, we cannot use Intimidazione like the other specs can. Instead, we have to get creative and use our Trappola Congelante to achieve the same thing. It has a long travel time, so if you know that a mob needs to be stopped, you should try to be close to it so that you can throw a Trap on its feet when it starts casting. Tiro Disorientante is a little easier, but still has a short range, so you should be closer than you ordinarily would to make good use of both of these stops.

Tiro Vincolante: "AoE Stun"

AoE Stun is in quotes here because Tiro Vincolante unfortunately requires mobs in its effect to move a few yards before the stun activates, making it useless for mass-stopping casts. It is useful to aid a Kiting tank, or to temporarily CC mobs that inherently move, including mobs from the Spiteful Affix. Generally speaking, if any mob is trying to get somewhere that you do not want it to go, Tiro Vincolante is a great spell.

Bengala: Stealth Reveal

This spell is rather niche, but can be supremely useful and is totally unique to Hunters. If you know roughly where a Stealthed mob is going to be, such as in Brackenhide Hollow, you can reveal them to your group using this spell.

Trappola di Pece and Intrappolamento: AoE Slow and Root

This can aid Tiro Vincolante as a solid way of mass-slowing mobs trying to get somewhere undesirable. If you pair this with the Intrappolamento Talent, you can think of this spell as a bit like Tiro Vincolante, with the caveat that the root will not last if you are actively attacking the mobs inside of it, but that makes it great for Spiteful Shades especially.

I know we technically have a bloodlust as hunters, but we shouldn't list it as a utility for a Marksman hunter since we shouldn't have our pet out.
