You need 2 of them to light the braziers in The Lyceum (BlackRock Depths area). When you light the braziers the door to the next area will open and you can go to kill Magumus.
You have a time limit to use the Shadowforge Torches of 5 minutes.
Take into account that dwarves in The Lyceum have a quick respawn of 30 seconds (if your group die there, no reincarnation + resurrection is possible!). Mages are welcome in The Lyceum because of AoE spells (Frost Nova, Cone of Cold, Arcane Explosion, Blizzard).

These torches are used to light the two braziers in the Lyceum in Blackrock Depths. When both braziers are lit, the exit door opens.

These drop off Shadowforge Flame Keepers, who can be found roaming solo among the many groups of mobs in the Lyceum.

these only last for 5 mins... the keepers are easy to kill it's just the 50 or so reservists that come running when you do ... they are a bit harder to deal with (especially when you're alone)

These guys arnt that hard i learned from experience unless you have like 100 chaseing you deadly group : )

Can't solo this? I got here solo and killed all the flame keepers i could find and none dropped the torch...

Solo'd 70 prot pally. Thats obviously easy though given the right forethought the whole BRD instance is easily soloable with only a couple troubling fights.. Emperor being one of them. but pretty much cake imo

Once both braziers are lit, the NPCs stop respawning in the room.
