so for a combat rogue at level 47 atm, what would be a good enchant for this? for pure RPing purposes i'm thinking demonslaying, as the Master Sword is the blade of evils bane in the LoZ series!

Edit: got sword now, screw an enchant, not worth it and lovin the light glow it naturally gives off!

Both the boomerang and sword are great for Paladins.

The Boomerang: a ranged attack. Great for pulling.

The Sword: very fast. Great for tanking with Seal of Fury (every little hit adds some hate).

you DO have to be lvl 47 to obtain the quest, that doesnt mean you have to be lvl 50+to get it..i have a lvl 48 hunter..i got it..
i got to winterspring by getting summoned...i got the irontree heart by teaming up with a lvl 60..and blazrunner by teaming with 2 lvl 54+ locks and 1 lvl 54 pally...no that hard.. but after blazerunner my items were trashed ><

I picked the blade up around L52 or so for my warrior, and after I had it lit up with a Fiery enchantment, it's still one of the best weapons in my arsenal. When the blades start to rock, it's sort of neat to watch the nature then the fire hit a given target.

Only drawback is that sometimes neither one goes off, and while it looks neat in action, it doesn't provide extra stamina or other stats.

Probably will continue to use this until I find something much greater, love it to death.

All the equipment in the game scales to fit the race using it. That's why some weapons used by taurens are the size of a human, while being "normal" size if a human equips the same weapon.

You can see how Linken's Sword would look on your character by finding someone with the sword, and CTRL clicking it. This will open up the "dressing room" feature, with the selected item displayed on you. Alternately, you can finish the quest and CTRL click the reward icon for a "sneak peek" at the sword. Hope this helps. :)

Nobody's mentioned the Golden Flame reference to the Golden Power in Link to the Past. It would have been hilarious if they had put you up against a Quilboar to represent Ganon, though.

Being a lvl 47 warrior gettting This is the second thing on my to do list (after getting thrash).
The sword has more dps than phantom and also has a better effect. looks really cool too, the only bad thing about this sword is becausew of its fast speed it dosent do that much damage when you use heroic strike.. then again thatss what i am getting a trash blade for.

no different glow on it,
same as by ice barbed speer, doesnt accept a other glow either...
duel wield with trash blade is great...
but the sword it self aint great itself

this quest line is long ,very VERY long it took me a few hours to get it all done.... but i think the sword is worth it i have been looking for a sword thats as fast as a dagger and this about cuts it and it looks cool.

P.S what enchant should i get for it?

The sword is fantastic for paladin tanks around this level, better than Thrash Blade because this weapon has under 2.1 attack speed, meaning it gets all 4 swings of reckoning in.

Rather easy, beat the final boss with my 60 lock friend.
(I'm a 55 shammy)
He died but I lived lol. Just have pet or demon tank.

i got this for my rogue, threw a fiery enchant on it and for my offhand im using the nail from sunken temple, with fiery+instant poison+ slice and dice+blade flurry and possibly adrenaline rush, its major dps bonus. not to mention the bonus from the chance of hit from the stormshoud armor, i kill pretty much anything horde that comes around my level. its nice and i recommend it for any rogue that can do the quest, also quest gave half of an entire bar of xp for me. fun to do if ur bored.

to look like Link from LoZ just buy some things but you must be able to wear leather with the stuff i say and be able to use a shield. to be regular link wear, cloth:conjurers hat of what ever, green holiday shirt or green any kind of green vest (formal white shirt if you have a green vest), stormweaver pants from ironaya in uldaman ,and bards boots and bards gloves to complete the set. to be the blue link azure silk hood and azure silk vest. i havent found a shield that is somewhat easy to obtain that looks like any of link shields but the aegis of the scarlet commander looks like the mirror shield. so hope this helps! and dont forget this on a cheapman's budget

I simple love the looks of this sword. Besides it's shape and general look it has a few very distinct graphical features:

- It has a green knob on the 'handle' (what is the correct word?);
- It has a blueish glow as though it is enchanted;
- It is very large, almost like a two hander.

I will keep this sword just for it's looks.

I put a mongoose on it and use it as a twink sword for 49 bracket (rogue), it procs alot with sinister strike

This would have been a great weapon to use off hand if it were one-handed(for rogues), and it looks sexy to boot.

But, it's not one handed. Sucks that the Master Sword doesn't get the attention it deserves. :(

you will be at least 55+ before you can get this, and by the time you do, why would you want it? Thrash blade from maraudon for one has a higher dmg/dps, with proc being extra attack, that'll do alot more dmg then 45-75. you can't offhand this sword, and its dmg/dps far too low to care about. if for some reason you didn't choose thrash blade, you can still get firebreather from ST, higher dmg/dps/proc. why run through long chain to fight boss thats extremely hard to get help with, for lesser weapon, when you can do maraudon/st run easily to get better weapons? this quest is only worth doing for the boomerang, the sword is a joke for any lvl50+ player. the chain is worth running through for lots of easy exp, but once you get final boss part, drop it, just like with the magram/gelkis quests. final part isn't worth the trouble of trying to get help for, inless you want boomerang. as an engineer, id much rather fire my death ray for 700+. if i wait 3mins for 150, i might as well wait 5 and get 700+.

for rogues using SS/rip/gs, just get thrash blade.

The quest to get Linken's sword begins in the swamp land in un'goro. Its a big, noticeable boat in one of the bigger pools of water on the east side, west of the main river.

Wow, this is supposed to be a lvl 47 sword? At 39 you can get more dps and stat bonus's, since the proc on this sucks. Unless its a 100% chance then I wouldn't see using it.

To compare this sword to others, thinking only of stats and dps, is to completely miss the point. It's quite obvious that this isn't meant to replace your epic raid drop or compete with weapons like the Thrash Blade. It's simply an homage to the Legend of Zelda. It doesn't matter how good or bad the sword may be in your opinion.

I walk around with this sword because it has personality and is fun to use. If you completely reduce the game to nothing more than a set of points and stats you miss out on some great whimsey.

It's not a crime to loosen up and have fun once in a while, and not be so uptight about things.

P.S: This sword + fiery enchant + major firestone + dots = death incarnate!

Instead of nature damage, this should proc for either an AoE stun, knockback, damage, or maybe a combination of all of them. I mean, it's the friggin' Master Sword, throw me a bone here!

I like this sword much even if just for the 'OMG Master Sword' value alone. Plus, I think it goes nicely with my cat. (I have a Frostsaber Pride Watcher w/plans for Sian-Rotam at the moment.)

umm 47 to get the quest but then ya u can
get a lock that has engireening to keep summoning u back and forth from winterspring to ten. ya i spent 5+ hours on this quest but i did it at 49or50 and got a hole lvl in 5 hours not bad

I love this beauty. Of course I don't use it but how cool is it to have the master sword, i mean honestly! I think they should add more zelda items (biggoron sword anyone?) because they are damn sweet. Who knows, maybe they will upgrade it to blue in future patches; I know it has a permanent slot in my bank!

For anyone trying to make a Zelda inspired set this sword really does not resemble "The Master Sword" all that much.

I instead suggest looking for Northern Shortsword. Colors match a lot more.
