I belive it to be one of those items either no one makes, or.. no one wants.. ; however I do want a pair.. the bonus healing is excellent on them..... =)

I originally thought that these shoudlers were a pattern you could only obtain if you were a certain reputation with the Ardent Dawn, i was incorrect in that conclusion, Also i have yet to come across any blacksmith with this pattern.

I mean, paladins are liking the +44 to healing, but the lack of other stats is painful. +10 spirit? That's it?

Considering that the thing takes 2 arcanite bars (plus more readily available materials) to make, I doubt too many will be made. Unless the arcane crystal drop rate gets ramped up (which it may well be....as they will ALSO be the source for the new, 310+ enchanting arcane dusts), these seem like a <shrug> item.

Can get nice plate healadin shoulders easily elsewhere (eg. BRD)...sacrifice a chunk of the +heal for actual stats like stamina and intellect (and , sometimes, spirit).

Keep in mind that low rank heals get less benefit from +heal gear now, therefore less spamming of rank 1-3 stuff and never going OOM. So, I am thinking that having a bigger mana pool overall may be preferrable to the benfits of this (small amount of spirit on these things and a few more points on the fewer heals being cast), as well as an ability to absorb more dmg when the primary healer(s) are getting beat on.

44+ healing is great, the cost is a little much but if you dont take dmg, an you sit not in the back but a mere 40 yards from battle front they are very effective. picking a pair up of these or waitting till BC for somthing better..

on my server they are on the AH now for 74.42 gold. not to bad.

Does anyone know if these plans drop in phase 1? I've asked many blacksmiths on my server and checked the actionhous many times ... no one has these plans nor have i seen them on the auctionhous.
