Dropped for my group of 3, a 70 warrior, priest and hunter.
Also, Cloudkeeper Legplates dropped that night.
I got both of them and sold them for 100g each.

Next day the Blackblade of Shahram dropped. Went to warrior.

I got mine off of Maleki the Palid in Stratholme yesterday. Its a shame though. They are worthless post BC. Who the hell is gonna spend the time/money on those mats at that level?

sad really that this still has not dropped for the horde on frostwolf. and even if it does with the zerg starting to need arcanite i can see them hitting 50g each a bar instead of 25g. Well anyway this armor rocks cant wait to get mine.

Edit: It has dropped and its even more uber then u can imagine. I lent 3 arcanite bars to a friend to make his and the proc is sick. It gives 10 seconds physcial immunity, it is broken if you attack however. But basically full heal for a shaman, totally sweet.

Dropped today in UBRS i think from a dragonkin.
Someone else won the plans, who WAS a blacksmith so i hope he makes good use of it.

Unless I'm missing something, this is designed pretty much for hunters only -- druids, priests, mages, and warlocks can't wear mail as far as I know. Despite it's not-so-high AC, this appears to be pretty useless for warriors/pallies. If the deflect is turned off by meleeing, these classes would never benefit from it. Maybe not a big issue, but I'm not too happy about the fact that the nicest thing I'll end up being able to make in the game isn't something that's really helpful for myself...I'm not looking to make money, I'm looking to make something that kicks a** that I can wear. This is for someone else, as most hunters aren't going to go after blacksmithing...

I saw it dropped on my first, and only UBRS run, and It was taken by some stupid Rogue Looter, and then he sold it in the AH for like 400 gold for the pattern alone.. Pretty dumb if you ask me

If you got these for 160g consider yourself damn lucky because frankly, this is the best armor in the whole game for both hunter and shamans imo. And the drop rate is just horrible. 160g sounds like the best deal ever in fact.

i had the plans and sold them for 250g

however as part of the deal the guy who bought them was to make 2 copies of the mail for myself and a friend

although im still only a lvl 52 i cant wait 2 use them on my shammie :)

i thought my deal on them was pretty dam nice

this item got nerfed, not really as good as it used to be and u might prefer wearing your set chest piece

Jeeze the nerfs on the good armor are getting out of hand. They're nerfing green whelp armor to 10 sec and max lvl 50...why not just switch THIS proc with green whelp armor and call it a night?

3 seconds of immunity on a 5% proc every 30 seconds...for an epic chest. Just wear your set chest. Not worth the money imo.

this thing is not worth 30 arcanite bars for anything, heck is not even worth the enchanted thorium bars at this state

the arcanite bars are beter saved for a hand of rag as every who can wear mail can wear 2handed maces, even if the eye of sulf is a mc drop and ingots and such can be pretty expensive or rare drops

Unless you are a shaman who wants to offtank, this is useless. no plusses. I am a hunter and I would rather wear a green "of the kmonkey" chest that this garbage.

Plus, the 30 Arcanite bars? Sheesh! This would be valued at ~1300 gold on my server.

If you are a warrior, Get the FREE chestplate from the Tiron Fordring quests and STFU.

For the most part, I can't find any reason why someone would actually craft this crap. This dropped on our guild UBRS run last night and everyone was excited until they realized what a worthless epic this is and it used to make.
