This item is created by engineers with a skill of at least 190. It is learned from a schematic that can be found in the random presents that are mailed to you from Father Winter during the Christmas season. It does not bind and can be sold or traded as many times as you want.

This item only creates one snowball at a time. To create a snowball, you must have one Refreshing Spring Water which can be bought from a food and drink vendor for 20 copper per stack of 5. It is a 25 second cast and has a 24 hour cooldown.

The purpose of this item is to create a snowball that can be used as a reagent for Christmas-related items when the event has passed and snowballs are no longer available for purchase. For example, in order to use the Red or Green Helper Box, you need 1 snowball as a reagent.

Also, don't take the time to make two, thinking "Cool, I can make two snowballs a day." Both of my snowball machines share the same cooldown. WTS spare Snowmaster 9000 :-)

This item is a joke, one snowball i ask ya blizzard? Why not a stack of a twenty everyday?! Jesus... god forgive if someone wants to have a snowball fight in the middle of orgrimmer. "No timmy, i'm afraid it'll be another 24 hours before you are allowed to have fun."

Do these things remain on your character when the winter's over? Would be nice if you could have snowballs in June...

(I can imagine the snowballs would go up in price during the summer then)

And another question: can the snowballs produced be used as materials for a new SnowMaster 9000?

This isn't that great, believe me.

You can only make ONE snowball per 24 hours. So in about a week you'll have enough snowballs for 5 minutes of fun. It would be much better if you could make 2 snowballs per day (or more).

Also, if you have more than one snowmaster, they all share the same cooldown. So no matter how many Snowmasters you have, you can still only make 1 snowball per day.

dont buy the schematic. the santa of each faction gives this as a present (random). it used to sell for 400g. now, only 50g.

the snowball maker itself takes 20 seconds to use, makes 1 snowball, and has a 24 hour cool-down. u can buy snowballs like MAD right now (since xmas stuff is there)

Throw at someone. No real use but it's fun. If your in a party the snowballs will stun you for a few seconds.

Above poster is correct. This engineering device only make 1 snowball per day. Making it takes 20 seconds, and requires a full 24 hour cooldown. What a load of @#$%. I was hoping after the trouble to collect mats to make the device, it would at least make stacks of 5 or 10. But no, ONE snowball a day. Do as said above, make a bank alt and buy/store enough snowballs to make it to the next winter veil.

Snowballs can also be harvested from the holiday snow in Alterca Moutains,Ruins of Alterac.

i requires 4 snowballs to make the machine witch can then make unlimited snowballs with only refreshign spring water. and if ure wondering were did the first 4 snowballs com from to create the first of these wondofol machines... they come from christmas uc an loot them off ground or pay 5c for 5 at some vendors

What can you do with snowballs? Are they just like leather balls? Do you trow them at other player and he gets them or what?
I think turning 4 snowballs into unlimited snowballs 1 a day is a great deal. Also, moneys.

And if you have 2 or more of these does it mean you can make 2 or more snowballs a day? I can imagine having 10 snowMasters and make them stack a day.

No it doesn't work. The same thing with the Goblin Jumper cables. You can have 3 of them, but you can only use 1 every half an hour.

I have an evil mid-summer plan dealing with these things that the horde will hate. (Beware those that are on the Magtheridon server)

....i only want to smash you in the face with a snowball.......along with my entire guild. :)

The schematic for it costs 40g on my server :(
One bad thing about being on a full server is that there are so many snowballs any time of year noone wants them.
On a bright side, if you are on a new or not full server and you can make them, you can give it to your alts and make 5-10 snowballs a day.
How do I make snowballs sell for at least 2g a stack?

The snowballs are useful because some of the christmas pets require a snowball to summon. Keep your cool mini reindeer following you all year round :-)

Cost me about 20g on Icecrown. Yeah you can only make 1 ball a dayand yeah if you have multi thry share cooldown. As for where you get snow balls well christms time or AH or otherplayers with the device. As for use of snowballs. You can make these to put on AH, throw them at people and some pets(the cute ones) need 1 snowball to summon them. For instance the santas little helper etc.

You've got to be kidding me, if you could make a lot per day engineers would make tons of F****** gold. the going rate for them on twisting Nether is 1 g per snowball. that's all i've got to say.

Snowballs used to make people Fall down when you hit them.. That no longer works anymore...because people @#$%^ed.

BUT if you have a snowmaster 9000 it makes hard packed snowballs.. You can dismount people with these snowballs still or make people fall.. and if they are ninja'ing chests..

ok i just made like 5 of these things, and when i went to use one, it used up the cooldown on all 5....WTF? only one snowball, but all 5 cooldowns were used....

ok, i agree w/ the fact it is pointless to have this to try and make money/snowballs for fun/whatever, but if you are a tradeskill freak like me, you just want ALL the of recipes/patterns/schematics that you dont already have.

that is the only reason to get this schematic in my opinion... even though i DID make my SnowMaster 9000 anyway.

Isn't this a little pointless? the snowballs around christmas time cost like 9 copper for 5 snowballs, meaning you could just make a new character, send him like 20 silver, and completely fill his bag and bank with snowballs. Or does it make a different kind of snowball? I just don't see the point in paying all that money to make the machine and only make 1 ball per day when you can just stock up around christmas time for a whole lot cheaper and have a whole lot more snowballs.

Is the schematic for this soulbound? I.E., can I find the schematic for this on the auction house, or can you only get it from the Greench quest?
