Its an excellent weapon for a rogue, a shaman or a warrior, I'm a rogue and I'm using this baby with hemorrhage, I crit for 1k with hemorrhage and already got 1k dmg white dmg , both in naxx! If you have chance grab this weapon ;)

A very very nice weapon for a DW class. This is my dream weapon for my DW shaman. Rogues and fury warriors also can use this weapon very nicely. Great for instant attacks. Plus this weapon looks killer, just puts hear into anyone's heart when they see a rogue pop out of stealth, with a big claw for a hand coming at their face. Great fun.

An awesome weapon for a rogue or warrior, this fist weapon will become even better in 2.0.

With 2.0 weapon skill is changing and is not nearly as useful as it used to be. Also, there were no +Fist Weapon skills in the game, so in PvE DPS versus higher level mobs, a sword or axe was more useful because of the availability of +Axe and +Sword items.

Now with the +Weapon Skill not being useful, fist weapons and maces are going to be, relative to swords and axes, buffed.

I agree giantWille.. I am hoping to pick this up .. (( if it ever drops again)) for my shaman. My main hand is the Aurastone hammer... while its silly it is giving me nice boost to my shocks 1k-1.5k which makes for nice finishing blows to targets im dpsing down.... my offhand is currently a fang of the faceless.. what enchant would you suggest putting on this weapon

Claw of the black drake is one of the best main hand weapons you can get for a DW warrior. The crit and stats is nice but the speed and DPS is even better, 2.60 speed and A big amount of max damage is perfect for a main hand for a Duel wield warrior.

This and CTS go very well together for hemo. Coming from a guy who tested this out in the latest patch (2.0.1) it has high sustained dmg and if you put agi+15 on both the weapons this packs quite a punch. I compared it to GM fists and got about 500 hemo crits compared to GM's 6-700.

this weapon is pretty nice, i got mine quite awhile ago. I used it with Brutality blade off hand for awhile, the only thing that i dont like about it is its hard to find a good OH fist weapon, i recently got The CTS and im close to getting the GM/HW sword, then ill use CTS off-hand

I hate to break it to you, but hunters are NOT made for melee. No really, they arent. I'm not saying you shouldn't roll on this, but if there's a rogue or warrior in your group...hell...a druid in your group that wants this item, you shouldn't roll. It's nice that you think you're teh roxxors in melee because you're specced that way, but you...well...arent. Any rogue could beat you if you stayed in melee, as could a warrior, and any good druid. You know what? You should roll a rogue if you want to be in melee so bad...now! Go make a rogue or a warrior if you don't want to do your job as a dps-machine. Hunters ROCK in range and that's where they belong.

I got this weapon some weeks ago and i have to say, it is awesome.
Fist specc isnt as good for rogues as swordspecc but its still pretty nice.

One big downside with fist weapons is the lack off a good epic offhander, you'll have to use a sword or a dagger to get decent damage.
A good offhander for combat fist specc is a weapon with high damage like perditionblade or dragonfang, this is because nearly 50% of your damage will be normal damage and around 30% from sinister strikes.

There are some bugs with fist weapons, one that they dont get the benefit from Precision, like swords and daggers do. The other is that they can be disarmed even tho they use the unarmed skill.

I dont see how you can disarm a fist weapon when it is practically sewed onto your hand, unless you cut the arm off.

I have this on my shaman.
And its a really really nice addition to fang of the mystic and earthshaker (wich i prefare over TUF.

We�v been quite lucky with this dropp, and i started to bid on it the 4th time it dropped. (We have no restriction on who can bid on what, but didnt feel like paying a $%^& load for it)

iv made a single wf crit for around 680ish with this, thats pretty nice for a 1 hander if ya ask me.

am a rogue who just got this weapon. it required a respec to fist weapons, but wth a change was needed and was getting sick of waiting for a decent dagger to drop. (any rogue who is fist spec before getting this weapon does need some serious help)

im not argueing that this weapon maybe good for a fury spec warrior, so far the results ive had have been unbelievable. Ive got a couple of bloodfang items, mostly NS and blue rings and trinkets and cape.

Even with this lack in attack power (more ZG, BWL rings and trinkets needed), when in raids sinister strike crit just under 1200 is best so far, 2300 eviscrate and a normal auto-attack melee for 1079.

This is going to do serious damage in the hands of the right rogue....and its the coolest looking weapon in the game.

Damn tards....

First of all, fury warriors flurry DPS increased doesnt matter for any speed.. Yes the difference between attackspeed is bigger on slower weapons, but it is always ALWAYS 30% speed increase...

Also weapon speed does not matter for fury warriors... if you think you pick a fast weapon for unbridled wrath procs? hell there is no difference at all! (1/1.5 speed weapon *0.4 ~~ 0.27 rage per second, while 1/2.9 speed weapon *0.4 ~~ 0.14 rage per second), yeah really big deal about the rage increase...! the 1/weapon speed stand for hits per second and *0.4 for the 40% proc on unbridled wrath.

Me = Combat rogue. I'm looking for this in BWL, willing to spend DKP on this thing. I got over the loss of ambush/backstab because, I'm not even specced Ambush. Me = Main hand sword currently Brutality Blade/Off-hand Core Hound Tooth.

Hunters, $%^& off, you get your precious range and we get our close range combat weapons.

Alas, yes, amazingly Blizzard actually concocted a good fist weapon. Woot. To top it off, this thing looks like the ^&*!ing sex.

iv played a warrior for 2 yeas now, andwarriors are pretty good at tanking and stuff so id say this is definatly a warlock weapon

Are you serious? This is SOOOOO a priest weapon! OMG look at the stats. What more could a priest want than +13 strength? And of course priests NEED this weapon since they can definately use fist weapons. NOT! I say dps warrior and if none want go to a rogue ftw.

got this the other day, had to outbid a shammie for it. no one else in the guild wanted it. fury warrior dual wielding this and sickle from cc rep. this is oen of the coolest looking weapons out there. i run around cities with it showing and always have people complimenting me on it.

The only problem with this is that you can't use Dense Sharpening Stones on em. So, your forced to use Elemental sharpening stones or Poisons

or dense weightstones...totally forgot about those.

In my experience ss crits around 670 average on rogues/priests with inner fire and maybe 800 average on warlocks (without soullink etc.).

I got this claw.. My SS record is 1222dmg.

Problem is that it's buggy weapon.. will be fixed in 1.9 tho.. i hope :(

hardly, humans have +5, with the maladaths +4.. +weapon caps at +10.

so with +9 I am basically seen as a lvl 64, I rarely miss on anything higher than 60.

yeah how bout this for attack power Blessing of Might, Blessing of Kings Gift of the Wild Strength of Earth Totem and then all of that plus my super sweet orc skill blood fury which does another 25% to the attack power i have atleast 2000 ap

Got this last night in BWL. And whoever's saying 1500 AP is hard to reach... it's not at all. I have 7/8 Nightslayer and some other +AP gear, fully buffed and potted I had over 1600 AP. Anyways, I was wondering if someone whos had this for a while could tell me what would make the best off-hand? I'm combat fist spec, 20/31/0. Right now I'm using a Warblade of the Hakkari (OH). I know its not the best off-hand for a combat rogue, but I got it a while back before my guild was even thinking of BWL. Should I save up for something like a Brutality Blade maybe or a Maladath? Someone even recommended going away from swords and picking up a Corehound Tooth. I checked out some of the off-hand fist weapons and none have impressed me remotely. Anyone who can speak from experience got a recommendation? Thanks.

I would not recomend this for hemo spec. As i's 2.60 speed may seem slow it isnt compaired to other ones. Now with the new patch try for the HWL or GM weapons. those have 2.90 speed and would hit like a truck with hemo. But fi you really want this weapon and are a rogue combat fists is the way to go.

Too bad ill never have it.Besides if im going for any fist set it will be grand marshals considering im ever high enough nice weapon but being a dagger rogue i would pass for a warrior or hunter but thats just me :-)

Got this yesterday. First SS I got with it was 981, on a fully sundered Warlock. I was like... "Wow." Still only have a 32% crit chance, but that'll be changing soon. ^^

ok so i saw someone say they got a 1100 ss with this weapon and i stopped to think about that for a sec...

the equation for a sinister strike being

weapon dmg + (attk power/14) x 2.4 (1.7 if you are doing it with a dagger) + 68 (for sinster strike rank 8)

if you add in aggression and lethality then you would multiply the answer to the previous equation by 1.06 and then multiply it again by 2.3 to get the maximum crit possible.

so lets sub in everything we know...

191(max dmg on this) + (?/14) x 2.4 + 68 = ? x 2.3 x 1.06 = 1100dmg sin strike.

if you do the math here you'll see that you would have to have 1125 attack power to pull off an 1100 sinstrike with this, and if that's what you're claiming i would like to see your equipment!

EDIT: and for the guy who said he does 1100 with viskag you'd have to have even more attk power than with this. once again, i'm going to have to call bs =/

Willing to temporarily spec restore and *!@#$ myself out to a guild running BWL long enough for all the people who want it to have theirs so I could roll. I'd make up feral offhand weapons to have this as feral gear. Not that the stats aren't okay for feral, but it looks _Purr_. Sad as a druid there's no reasonable way for me to get this, and no reason for me to have it over ANY other melee class.

Still.... I can dream.

Just got this on our first Firemaw downing. I currently have Vis'kag in my off hand (old MH). Would a Brutality be better as an off hand (for stats) or would you all stick with the vis'kag for damage in the off hand (mention: the Viskag proc is less than 1% in the off-hand now.

Any input is appreciated.

Ah, loved this weapon back in the day when 60 was max. Its kinda a little weak for a 70 be using it now, but for 60 pvp yeah sure it'll work.

its really good FW... its bad there is no second OFF-Hand for it... im sure a good sword does the same..,

It's not that hard to get imagine getting a 1222 SS with this weapon. I laready hit 964 with a brutality blade. I have over 1400 attack power when buffed.
