You get this from being Revered with Hydraxian Waterlords, and then talking to Duke Hydraxis. It has a 1-hour cooldown.

The important thing to remember with this item is that it's reusable as opposed to the aqual quintessence which is a one-time use. There are 8 runes located in Molten Core, so unless you have 8 different people in the raid (each with an Aqual Quintessence), you won't be able to summon Majordomo. With this, you can easily get by with two people in the raid (each with an Eternal Quintessence) since most end-game guilds are able to fully clear MC in around 4-5 hours.

A note here, I just ran all the way to azshara as our 20 man MC was lacking an essence. I could not pick this up, despite being revered with Waterlords. As exphixius says, I believe you MUST complete the quest line first.

i can't wait until i can get this, i mean i hate running back to Azshara to get quintessences and i gotta tell ya, this thing is looking really nice to me right now. However, i hope it isn't a hard ass quest chain to get it.

Just to echo the sentiments expressed here, me and my guildies are so glad this is finally here!

I believe you need to be Revered with Hydraxian Waterlords to get this though - don't quote me on that, but I am 75% certain that there *is* a reputation requirement.

Grabbed this last night after our MC run. I am so happy that they added this item. I always wondered what use it was to get HWL rep and nothing in return. Never having to go out to that remote rock again has made me very happy.

Im just wondering what the requirements are to get this. I'm going to start the quest to get the regular quintessence tonight but how do you get the Eternal Quint?

With the release of BWL this is now available for players with Hydraxian Waterlords revered.

Edit: This item will be available in Phase 3, starting February 12. It requires both completion of Hands of the Enemy and Revered reputation with the Hydraxian Waterlords.

This item was added to the game in Patch 1.11 (the patch that added Naxxramas), so it's currently assumed that this will not be available until Phase 6.

This may change due to Blizzard decoupling certain things from phase releases (Dire Maul, Battlegrounds both being released ahead of their announced phases).

Note that you can still use Aqual Quintessence even if you have the Eternal Quintessence, the NPC will continue to propose it.
Then in one hour you will be able to use three quintessences!

so in retail I just noticed a little back and forth between a Former Banshee Loyalist and one of the bankers in Orgrimmar, Rilgiz. basically Rilgiz is refusing to take whatever the FBL is depositing until Baine Bloodhoof steps in. Then the FBL says he or she is depositing an Eternal Quintessence which surprises Rilgiz. nice little tidbit

Confirmed you can delete the Aqual and Eternal Quintessence and then get them again from Duke Hydraxis if you wish.
