With the right enchant and gem, this helm is barely irreplaceable for an enhancement shaman.

Agreed, i am an enhancement shaman and im very happy with this helm, gems are +8 str,+12 stamina,+4 critical strike rating & + 6 stamina, altogether with the set bonus, this helm is barely irreplaceable.

Now I think this helm is a little too well rounded for PvE. As an Enhancement Shaman, if you want pure DPS, the Deso Helm or the Stalker's Helm of 2nd Sight is probably better.

I just farmed the mats in a day just cause it looked cool. And also, I wanted another epic, since guild won't let me raid Kara as Enhancement. :(

Can't speak for other servers, but I picked one up for 1k bid. Was a 1300 buyout, but I was patient and saved a little. My newly minted 70 shaman is very happy. To price it, look at the cost of mats on your server and add a little.

farmed all motes , bought 80 adamantite bars for 120g and give guildmate 50g for nether / craft :)

now i am damn happy with it not only coz stats, but coz how its looks like

Over-priced rubbish for a hunter. Both the Stalker's Helm of Second Sight and the Beast Lord Helm are better. Compare them in Cheeky's spreadsheet if you don't believe me.

Save your gold for something more worthwhile, in this case purple is not better.

Kinda bad helm for a shammy, as all this mp5 and int is pretty unuseful (
To say, its not right that shamans have to gear in hunters' gear, because the desired stats are different.

This helm is very nice for hunters. Ofc there will be better items but isnt there allways. Its a B*** farming all those motes but still worth having crafted. Nice looks nice stats.

What do you guys think: Netherdrake Helm VS Storm Helm? What you reckon is better for MM hunter?

Comparing the Storm Helm to the Netherdrake helm:

Raw stat wise:
Storm Helm has 21 stam, 28 int
Netherdrake Helm has 16 stam, 26 int

AP/Crit wise:
Storm Helm has 22 (1.0%) crit chance at 70.
Netherdrake Helm has 31 (1.4%) crit chance at 70.

Storm Helm has 44 AP
Netherdrake Helm has 64 AP

Final Analysis:
It would appear at first Netherdrake Helm is superior AP/Crit wise. The only difference is Storm Helm has sockets. "What big of a difference does this make?" Is what most hunters will ask.

The answer is pretty simple. If you aren't willing/able to absolute get the best gems to socket Storm Helm with, it will be easier to go with Netherdrake since there is no way with green gems you would be able to surpass 20 AP difference between the two. Crit chance is more likely, but it might be tough considering it takes roughly 22 crit chance to = 1% and the average on gems is about 5 or 6.

The stats are minimally different, with a difference of 5 stam and 2 int (50 health, 30 mana). The socket bonus provides a fair stamina boost (increasing the total health by 110). Which is kind of trivial if your just looking for pure damage.

The simplest answer I would say is go with Netherdrake Helm if you do not feel like farming or are cheap :P

Simply put: Not worth it.
Stalker's beats it on everything, except mana gain, hp and armor. Personally, I don't feel like spending hours farming or loads of gold buying this, when I can get the Stalker's from a quick quest chain. No matter what your talent specc is, it's a very small upgrade for hunters. Unless I'm missing something in regards to gems, the only place I can think of that it might be useful is for long fights where you have a chance to stand and shoot. Then it would be slightly more useful. Which is a shame, because it looks badass, imo...

Again I questions Blizz's reasoning when it comes to items useful to hunters vs availability....

I dont understand why no one campares this to the Warpstalker helm which is what I am doing right now and having a tough time deciding between farming the mats or going with the Warpstalkers which is easy to get 50 badges in a reasonably short time. If someone could do a full analysis on those 2 that would be cool.

This recipe isnt bad at all for a BS to get. It uses only one Primal nether and no Primal might at all.
This cuts costs a lot, also mote's of water and air are getting cheaper by the day.
