This is a low level alchemy potion that can sell for a lot. When leveling your alchemy try making as many swiftness pots as possible. Very useful in pvp.

A low level potion maybe, and I never really used it myself, However, I have found myself famring these for my guild.

Before a BWL or AQ20 run, I circle saround darkshore for about an hour in travel form and grab every briarthorn and mageroyal I can in hopes of getting enough swiftthistle. I then make up 4 stacks and hand a stack to each tank.

In BWL they will be used to kite around the humaniods, and in AQ20 they will be used to drag Buru and Ossirian arond the rooms.

This is a VERY valuable potion in raids, and i hear of people never leaving home without them for soloing. I just happen to have dash and travel form so I don't use them myself :)

this potion is very useful if you play warsong gulch alot, if your an alchemist or if you just wanna run fast alot. if your an alchemist then you should make the potion alot and put it on AH

Always be on the look for this on trade, sometimes you might get lucky and see "WTS 2g", Its not as rare as you think.

Swiftness Potion is also used for crafting gear and weapons, so always a good sell on AH.

i just bought the recipe for 2s on AH. love that newbies!
wanted to mail comforting 1g to the nice person but was too flurried to pay attention to his name :)

also i have to note that very potions are selling quite bad (on my server). it would be far more profitable to sell raw mats (swiftthistle and briathorn are two most expensive low-level herbs). just check your AH!

If you want to farm this recipe just go to deadmines it drop to me twice there one time inside the dungeon and the other time in the previous cave, don't give up if it doesn`t come out just keep trying i did deadmines about 25 timer to get it but it was totally worthy :)

It is showing a 3% drop rate with a fishing bobber. Does this mean that you can fish this item, or should I be looking for a fishing bobber to loot? This recipe has been such trouble to find. Please help.

its just a random drop, it appears to be the best % off him cuz it dropped once in the 50 some odd times hes been killed. but you'll have just as much luck farming any mob this level.

I found this recipe twice whil farming in Loch Modan. I was using my alt (lvl16 gnome warlock) and got a drop off a mob on the east side (cant remember which mob), and out of a chest guarded by troggs in the southwest.

Uh oh.

According to one player posting on the WoW official forums, when asked about Bernard the Mixer:

"He went away when WoW went live last year.

During the beta testing phase, they needed a way to test certain potions from rare drop recipes without waiting for the recipes to drop. Hence, a Bernard was invented. A "deus ex bartender", if you will."

Looks like rare drops are the only way to get this recipe now. :-(

I'm a bit confused...Can an alchemist trainer not teach you this recipe? If so, why are the instances of this selling for 30+G? I have one on my lvl 15 and I'm not an alchemist, so I'm trying to understand why it's selling for so much on AH's....?

Haha, I was in group for dm and this dropped but someone else won the roll so i asked tha guy that won to sel it to me for 1 g and he said he didnt need the money and gave it to me for free, Im very happy now

The reason to that this can be expensive is that a lot of people need this for PvP, mainly Warsong Gulch I'd say to make it easier to capture the flag. Bought it for 10g on Draenor last night, each potion goes for 50-70s.

I got the recipe as a drop in Wailing Caverns. I think it is a random world drop and farming an area where someone else found it will not give you any special advantage.

Guys this is really nice recipe for pve ..when u have to run / kite mob ..for outdoor farming when 3-4 mobs come on u..and u have to run ;p.
For PVP/battlegrounds...warsong gluch run with flag and so on

There is no way to farm it cuz its WORLD RANDOM DROP So only lucky ones get it

I soloed WC as a 35 Warrior and had this drop. Auctioneer said it had sold a few times for 50g so I decided to throw it up in the AH for 40g...50g BO. It sold within 2 hours :). Because of that, now I can afford a mount :). For those that complain about the price, think about it, it's a very rare world drop. I was the only one at the time selling it in the AH and the big thing is...once you buy it you'll make up the money selling the pots in no-time...they are in high demand. I will certainly be buying them on the AH for BGs and world PVP.

This recipe is intended to drop at low level (10-17). At high level, farm low level areas and critters where you can kill many quickly. Crawlers in Darkshore work best. Recipe dropped three times in two days for me by nailing them.

I found this potion by killing a Riverpaw Miner inside the cave of Gold Coast Quarry in Westfall! Best of luck to everyone!

BTW had to clear out the cave 3 times before it dropped...but it was good xp, got alot of other green items as well and 2 chests. Well worth it Id say!

WHEW! I was actually killing a bunch of spiders to find some spider silk on Mannoroth Realm and then listed it for 1silver, 50 copper. Checked again later and found that it was selling like MAD and after checking it on thottbot, I'm glad I canceled the Auction.

I got this recipe while doing Shadowfang Keep in Silverpine Forest. It's not the most common drop, though, but if you want the recipe it's worth checking that out.

I think these are dropping more often. The recipe is selling ah for bout 4g, the potions are going for 70s. I'm on a pve server. I kinda thought it was a very rare drop. 4g is easy to part with from lv 20 up.

u should really invest ur time/money in farming/buying this off the AH. only requires 60 alch skill too. theres always a high demand, because swiftness potion is a common mat for other profs. also, its very popular in PvP/battlegrounds. so if u see this for a good price, buy it because it will pay bigtime later.

sure it has a low drop chance, but there are so many things it drops from, that almost all players see this once, maybe in the AH, but i know very few ppl who have never seen a swiftness potion or the recipe

great potion tho, helps a lot, even if u are a rogue, its a bonus sprint for those long cooldowns, specially great in WSG

Got a drop off of a random Defias elite in the Deadmines while running a guildy through with my 41 shadow priest. The recipe goes for around 10g on my server, and a 5-stack of the pots goes for around 3.5g or so.

I haven't started cranking them out yet, but running around westfall collecting Briarthorn yields mats for a 5-stack in about 15-20 minutes.

This should be a cash cow.

Edit, I'm on Jaedenar (Majestiq), so if anyone needs these.. look me up. I'm extremely reasonable with my pricing.. it's partially why I'm broke.

I've gotten this recipe 3 times after farming SFK 10 times. If you're trying to make money, try SFK farming, this recipe drops quite a bit in there, and you might find a nice BOE 19 twink blue weapon too!

Iv found this recipe in the AH for much less than its worth so I buy them and re sell them for a proper price.

I got this recipe as a drop last night while fighting the lvl 6-7 Kul Tiras Salors outside Tiragarde Keep in Durotar just south east of Razor hill. Iv killed these guys lots of times while on quests with other charters an never gotten this drop but this time I killed about 5-6 guys and got it so I have no clue what the drop % is but if someone is looking for low level mobs that drop it, here you go.

My wife sells potions on the AH like it's her job.
She is a lvl 30 rouge with over 75G to her name all of this gold is from selling potions at the AH. She was lucky enough to find this drop at an early lvl. She sells a stack of potions for 3-4G. In my opinion, the value of a recipe is 10 times the value of what it can produce. That makes this recipe worth 30G easy.

I have killed Gamon in Org 1678 times and i finally got the Recipe to drop, my friend had killed Gamon the first time and go it. Kinda funny it drops in Org off a rogue quest NPC lol

I've been looking for this recipe for my alch. alt (for uber money making purposes, I have a gatherer that makes mucho money), which included killing about 100 or so Syndicate Watchmen in Hillsbrad, and wouldn't you know it, I found it auctioned off for 1 gold (buyout). I did a little scream/dance thing and then sent it to my alt.

Almost impossible to get from mobs. In my 40 level s killed countless of some of the mobs that drop it, and never gotten one.

it seems to be a big problem on allah that people don't read. 75% of posts are "where can i find this item" f you are on that website you got their searching for it. Don't you know allahs #1 function is telling you where to get things at the top of the page? People who are noobs on WoW typically are noobs in RL apparently. This is a world drop, you can't farm for it. In essence, because of the practicallity of the potion, and despite its alch req of 60, it has the drop rate of an epic. i repeat its a WORLD drop. it can not be farmed anywhere by anyone on any mobs. the only way to get this is right place right time or cough up the cash on the AH.

Sorry but some guys here just post junk... I wonder if they don't have nothing better to do (not even play WoW).

This recipe is NOT sold by any vendor (unless you call some player a vendor)... To that guy (and others) that say (for their mother, father and the pope) it is sold by a vendor... just tell us where (it looks easy no?) so we can give them the crown and never heard of them again...

Just for the record I sold this two days ago at 65 gold (yes 65) and I got it at Wetlands in some gnoll.

I found one of these off a Murlock in Westfall when I was doing some quest runs on my 18 Human Paladin. Wouldn't you know it, the max value of it is 10g buyout but no one wants it even if I sell it for 2g below the buyout value of another guy.

Ok ive been searching high and low for these Stormscale Toxicologist but they seem to not be there anymore if they were there... i was searching for them for 3 hours before i got on my hunter to make sure they were there n i wasnt just waisting time and sure enough they dont even come up on tracking ... im not sure if they were there and moved or wat but thottbot as well as this place says that they are there .. but theres no sighn ofem someone said on the higher waterfall but the bottom line is u cant go above the cave with the mushrooms and wave riders, sirens .... can someone help me out here

I was killing Oasis Snapjaws to the SW of Ratchet as a lvl 15 mage for a quest. After about 10 kills the recipe for savory deviate delight drops. Very next kill the Snapjaw drops the Swiftness Potion recipe. I am going to stay inside today so I don't get struck by lightning

Beware of differences in servers and age of your server. Reading here would make it seem this is a great money making venture, but after some time it will not be. On my server this runs for under 25s. I bought it for 5s. The potions go for 15-30s. But since an alt makes swift boots, it's worth it for me.

I think this is a very handy recipe, and even more if you are an alchemist. Have you guys read what it allows you to make? SWIFTNESS POTIONS... and that makes you go 50% faster! That really is handy, for mountless players. It dropped for me in the Barrens, and I felt lucky, but in fact I was looking for another recipe, the "savory delight" one, which has a little higher drop chance but didn't drop (and I tried for two days...). So I called it a day and left. Anyway I dont think Im gonna sell it, althoug if I run poor I already know what to do... :P

PS: stop in$%^&ing each other, it's stupid!

Its just dropped for my today, in Tirisfal Glades off a Rot Hide Mongrel ... I was just questing, and it just dropped. PURE luck, nothing special here. But the weird thing is, the day before, we were joking with a friend of mine about THIS recipe, about its possibilities to drop etc., and today it dropped *creepy* ^_^

Being early days in the Classic WoW servers means you can find some pretty good bargains. I just got this of the AH in Hydraxian Waterlords EU server for a little bit over 1 gold.

Granted, we are still in Phase 1, but this baby and the potions will go up in value from Phase 2 onward. Try to grab it now cheap!
