I'm looking for more information on where this drops. Is this a heroic drop? I'm looking for a healing mace for arena PvP. Runed Dagger of Solace is unfortunately a dagger, and I play a Paladin. This seems to be the second best for the job. Please help!

Seeing as Crypts is a level 64 instance and this mace requires level 70, I'd be very suprised if it dropped on non-heroic mode. The 5% drop chance listed supports this conclusion.

I can confirm that it definately drops in heroic Crypts though.

Same level requirement, same healing and resilience, but 5 less stamina than https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28322 which drops in non heroic botanica. Seems like an oversight.

This item drops of Avatar of the Martyred. She is found in Auchenai Crypts. This item will only drop in Heroic mode.

This is the best entry-level PvP healing mace in the game right now. It was clearly designed for that purpose and that purpose only. While the arena rewards will be much better, this is a great item for getting in to arenas with.

Of the healing classes, only paladins cannot use the Runed Dagger. For Druids, Priests, and Shaman, the dagger is much easier to obtain since it drops from an intermediate boss in both normal and heroic. This mace drops only from the final boss in heroic.

This is a heroic drop. Run Auchenai all you like on normal mode, you wont see this.

Drops from the "Avatar" (mirror of last boss) in the end.

This drops from a heroic boss, yet the Runed Dagger of Solace from The Botanica, non heroic, is identical and has an extra 2 stamina. Only thing about this is paladins can't use daggers, all other casters can. Just kinda wierd, since this is from a heroic.

By looking at the stats on this mace it seems to be more of a arena speccd healer item. Stam, Resilience, and a good amount of +Healing is really all an arena healer needs (except spell crit).

Since it lacks any mp/5, Int or Spirit this mace lacks the viability in PvE where other maces like Hammer of the Penitent or Lightsworn Hammer can supply. But since this hammer also lacks those stats, it can afford room for the huge chunk of Stamina and Resilience that it supplys.

Either +30 int or +81 healing would go well with this mace. Spellsurge is more of a PvE enchant imo, as the proc would be tailored more for raid healer support and longer fights.
