Honestly, they're not much of an upgrade from the Edgewalker Longboots. In fact, in some cases (depending on your gem choices) they can be a downgrade. Before I get flamed for stating this fact, take into consideration that you lose agility and the crit from said agility. The most trusted rogue spreadsheets will show these boots as anywhere from a 4 dps loss to a 1 dps gain over Edgewalkers depending on your enchant and gem choices.

Shadowmaster's Boots off of Mother Shahraz are the superior choice for pure DPS.

I picked up a set of these last week. They're really uh... red, and not black. More of a sidegrade from edgewalkers, I lost out on crit for a gain of 14 hit and a bunch of stam, I only picked them up because I was really hurting on hit. These boots make me wonder where all the iLevel points went to compared to something like edgewalker longboots.

Everyone seems to be entirely de-valuing Stamina as a raid-worthy stat. DPS is no good to you if you're dead, and while the BT Boots are better for pure DPS (And yes, I'd much prefer them) if you're lacking stam then these are definetely worth picking up, especially considering the amount of raid damage in Black Temple.

Nice boots, though for DPS/PvE boots they have to much stamina, some stats point used on stam would have been better used on crit, more AP or hit. Rogues already have good pvp boots available through the pvp system, no need to pack PvE gear full of stam!

they also have a really high hit rating, i was happy to replace my lurkers boots w/ these... i finally was able to dump some hit gems for agil gems =)
