Of the blue leather chestpieces introduced in BC, this one is the best for a feral druid.

In cat form, with the 20% bonus from HoTW, it has the equivalent of 120 AP (43x2=86 + 34 = 120); only 72 AP in bear form from the strength. Plus it also has decent armor, and the druid also gets dodge rating, armor, and crit strike rating from the agility.

All in all, it is a very nice chestpiece with an apt name for its intended recipient (clearly a feral druid). It would be nice if it had about 50 more armor, but all in all it is excellent for both bear and cat, particularly for cat form. As for bear form, it doesnt have the highest armor class of any leather chestpiece, but the added agility makes up for that lack in dodge rating, IMO.

Only downside is that you will have to either find one, or buy one from the AH (hoping that whoever puts it up doesnt realize its value to a feral druid).

This dropped in Shadow Labyrinth off of a random mob. Won the roll since we didnt have a Druid.

If you don't have 40-100g to spare, or just can't find a nice deal on it, use https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=30379#M0z instead (this requires you to be Aldor). Then work your way up to https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28264 if you are capable of putting 2 +stre gems and 1 +agi gem (remember, set bonuses don't mean everything, +4 dodge isn't something to spazz over about).

this is 1 of the best dps druid chest in the game
it have about 120 ap with 5/5 heart of the wild
and about 1.35 % crit rating

Great overall feral solo vest. https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=30933 produces marginally better DPS, but at a significant loss of survivability. And the https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31009 staff from the same quest combined with this vest would provide even more DPS with no loss of survivability.

still 67, but just got mine for 75G at the AH :D can't wait to reach 68 and be a Druid of the Talon with a Chestguard of the Talon ;)

Very nice druid chest piece that can be picked up for cheap of the AH! Much higher then average armor, and tons of attack power. The lack of stam hurts it for tanking, but it is still viable.

Sold for 20g within minutes of advertising, Silvermoon Horde.

Just dropped of Gutripper, in Nagrand, the Elite windroc for the safari quest. I just killed him for fun @ my lvl 70 Shammy while i was farming Clefthoof Leather. Hope it sells good :)

just bought it for 25g on EU anachronos... im guessing that was a good investment- (im 62)

even though its armor nowhere near jerkin of untamed spirit (early outland quest) this is still major good for rogues etc :) shame it looks like poop
