Since picking up these mugs from the tables seems to be broken, here's how to get them and thus defeat the dark iron dwarves when they attack:

/wave at one of the NPCs in the camp who are holding 2 golden glowing mugs.
They'll throw you one of these
Hotkey it
When you throw it, as long as you're within range (30 yards or so) of one of those NPCs, they'll immediately throw another one to you.

With a hotkey it's ridiculously easy to get 20+ dark iron dwarves knocked down during an attack.

note you do get drunk as you throw, so be accurate, or your screen will go very fuzzy very fast.

It said there was nothing to loot when I tried picking these up. Am i doing something wrong? Can you only pick them up when the Dark Iron Dwarves come?

The Dark Iron attack lasts 5 minutes.

Also, keep an eye out for the ENORMOUS mugs that the brew vendors will toss out into the Dark Iron melee. They'll give you Drunken Master and you spin around shooting out mugs for a few seconds.

To decrease the time a bit between brews thrown(if you are forced to get them from NPC each time, since atm ones on table are bugged), stand right next to a NPC that tosses them out. Thereby, decreasing the time it takes the next brew to get to you.

you only need to be in the vicinity of the tables and u should automatically pick up a beer sample and be able to drink and throw it.

It seems the dark iron attack every hour at the half-hour mark. (This could be different for other timezones)

On my CST server they came at 1:30, 2:30, etc.

Though the cap for turn-ins is 25, that does not mean you can only hand in 25 per DI Dwarf invasion. Turn-ins per invasion are UNLIMITED, you just need to hand your 25 in, then jump right back into battle and get more:)

How do u kill the Dark Iron Dwarfs? Everytime I target the dwarfs to kill one its already dead. Is there anyway to kill them faster? do you have to target individually before to throw mug on them? so confused.

There's no need to target the dwarves, simply hit your hotkey to throw the mug and face in the general direction of some dwarves and your mug will automatically bean them.

On a live server, with 50 other people in the area, you're going to be lucky to get 10 badges per invasion.

I just tried to get one of these and if you /wave he doesnt throw one but if you right click one of the ones on the table you can get one. After that when u drink and throw, the guy near the vendors throw one to you in replacement. You so not get one by going /wave. THIS WORKED FOR ME AND MIGHT NOT FOR U!!!

You receive this either by simply walking in the area of the fest in Iron Forge or waving at the guys by the booths you can buy alcohol from, not really sure. But once you drink and throw this, they immediately throw one back at you that goes into your backpack from my experience. Also, supposedly these are used to throw at the DE Dwarves that invade, but I have not experienced this myself yet.

Pick them up, drink, throw the mug, get another one thrown to you by the nearest brewmaiden. Slowly gets you drunk, but hey, it free.

Originally used in the Dark Iron invasion on Brewfest event, but was cancelled do to complications with emote spammers. We have the drinks back, but they serve no other purpose.
