Did you even test this before making your point? I tested what I stated before posting so it wouldn't be redundent. As of right now when I have a weapon equip at the start of my holy light I can swap back to my other weapon WITHOUT triggering another cooldown. And cast another spell as soon as the original is done. Test it before you bash it.

This really seems like it would be worthwhile for an elemental shaman. Between this, the spellhaste neck, and the spellhaste ring, you could get close to 2.0 second lightning bolts.

this is possibly the best thing for mana burn in the game as it is not affected by any +spelldamage or +healing as well as other spell that are too long to cast in arenas or possibly that healing pally having trouble throwing those heals off fast enough after cc or los

Once an Arena match starts, you can change your weapons. So, I think people might end up purchasing two healing weapons. https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=35082.

Swapping back and forth depending on which would be more beneficial.

i can see myself in bear form, getting eaten away by a warrior. Nature's grasp on cooldown, he has intercept and its far to the closest pillar, his pummel is up and he wont miss the 1.5 sec cyclone cast, BAM switch to this and 1.0 sec him right after he uses some spell.

Not sold by Arena Vendors until 2.4.3 Patch comes out with no switching weapons while casting. Not sold on any realm, Gm Comfirmed.

Definitely agree with the above posters, as far as priest PvP is concerned. To Mana Burn an opponent effectively, it's already necessary to spec into the talent reducing the cast time from 3.0s to 2.0s, and further reducing that cast time by such a large amount would be amazing for a discipline priest.

Catching druids in a form where they have mana, or catching any caster before they run out of line of sight, and additionally being able to mana burn in less time to provide more time to heal, are both fantastic benefits of this weapon.

When this weapon goes live, discipline priests would benefit greatly from buying this.

With this + Power infusion: mana burn would be around a 1.322 cast time. Priest/Rogue for example could burn around 6600 mana in the duration of Cheap shot/Kidney shot or Psychic Scream if you let them.

I agree, it is a very interesting item to include in Season4! However I strongly disagree that Blizzard has "lost their brain"

This I think can be extremely handy in the 5n5 bracket, imagine, if stacked with a few gems and the haste BM trinket, the amount of active Lifeblooms and the speed of a Prayer of Healing, Chain Heal etc?

This is where I believe this item has it's true strength, It is not designed for damage but for HEALING. The example the above poster used about a Mage is irrelevant as it is a mace anyway.

well, this weapon simply rocks for discpriests. swap to this weapon, p:i yourself and burn the opposing healer, if you have the time. once your finished, re-attach your standard healing mace end continue with the fight.
