A take off of Sulfuron Hammer, one of the reagents to creating Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros. It actually does set you on fire. A "slammer" is another term for a quaffer or drink therein.

Applies a buff causing you to take 4 fire damage every 3 seconds, for 6 seconds duration. Hot!

This doesn't seem to apply a debuff causing fire-damage, at least not anymore (TBC Classic). It does make you drunk and give you a flame-efffect, but there's not even a single tick of damage applied.

The item applies a buff called Sulfuron Slammer and is working as of patch 2.5.2.

Super important item of note, as it is a debuff that will break you out of sleeps and such if you take it beforehand- Useful on Anetheron in Hyjal for example.

Even if the tooltip still says so, this drink does not apply fire damage anymore, thus cannot be used against the Eredar twins... -_-
