I just got this and used it outside of Orgrimmar. It insta-cast summoned a Felhunter! I've heard it'll do fireballs, frostbolts, and the like. 3 min CD - totally worth it, though.

I have this and it has never cast Felhunter, Cold of Cone, or Shadow Bolt. It seems to cast Fireball VERY often, as well as Chain Lightning, but that's about it. The cool down is not 30 min, it's 3 min.

This item has had it's timer changed due to the high demand of it. (Mostly for those who don't understand it's cultural reference but want it for actual use.)

It only has 6 abilities.
Frostbolt
Fireball
Chain lightning
Polymorph:Sheep
Whirlwind
Felhunter

Here's a little info about these...
Frostbolt - 200-250 dmg, slows target movment
Fireball - 200-250 dmg
Chainlightning - 175-225 dmg, atk 3 targets (unknown if it looses dmg per target)
Polymorph:Sheep - will either poly you or your enemy. Kinda funny.. however I havn't noticed the health regen as if a mage would poly you, so in PvP, if you get poly'd pray!
Whirlwind - Its exactly like the new druid spell from what i can tell. Simply disables the target for a few seconds though I don't know how long.
Felhunter - Neat to see, but has no abilities so does minimal dmg similar to a mechanical yeti but lasts only about 30 sec.

Overall, if your leveling and don't have any good grinding trinkets this is very useful for added burst dmg. The dmg rated above is taking into account that your class abilities don't affect it (unknown if they do, but it is possible), and that you and the target are close to level. Now I have noticed that you can cast it and nothing happens, so either the target resisted the polymorph/whirlwind (since there is no casting animation) or it simple has a chance to cast blanks.

(P.S. as for the comment of CoC... he may have confused it with whirlwind since only a few mobs in the game were even able to cast it.)

This thing rocks. I'm a LvL 58 Warrior and it's pretty fun to shoot Fireballs and lightning. Dmg is between 150-250 has a 3minute cool down. I would recomend that everyone gets one of these. They are a ton of fun. Oh yeah.....You can sheep to..:)

Alright, i've used this item for a quite a long time now, and i though it was about time for updating my comment.

The spells are as following,

Fireball, hits for 200
Frostbolt, hits for 150
Chainlightning, hits for 175
Polymorph, will either sheep you or an enemy for about 6-12 seconds. Note both you and/or the mob it sheeps, will recieve additional health regen (Just like the mage one)
Cyclone-lookalike spell, will stun your target for about 10 seconds, please note damage removes the effect
Felhunter, deals about 1000 damage if it doesn't manaburn.
Felhunter's manaburn hits for about 300-303 - And manaburns 600 mana.

Havn't tried any other yet, maybe there just aint more in this sweet small bag :)

Got this on a mage, kinda funny item when you're oom or just want to have some fun.

I once got lay on hands from it. Was in WSG against a hunter, i use the six demon bag and my combat log says "NAME OF HUNTER's Lay on Hands heals you for 2200ish". Funny thing is that my max hp was like 1500 at the time, so it actually healed for his hp^^

And yeah, that must've been from the six demon bag as long as hunter's cant LoH enemy players.

Oh and yeah, the stun isn't like the druid thing, like snazzy says it gets removed by damage.

I used this trinket from lvl 46 thru 50.

As it was mentioned above it procs really funny.

However its actual usefulness is not so great. For my pala it was approximately equivalent to 1 additional hit.

Felhunter is a bit more useful than just a single hit, but it occurs randomly, and it just compensates for the absolutely useless sheep polymorph.

In other words, typically you get just 1 more hit per 3 min which doesnt mean much (at least for PvE).

On the other hand you can barely find a really useful trinket at this level:).

This is one hell of a trinket for spell dmg classes. Its benefits 100% from ure spell dmg as posted above. And thats insane, it can easily do a bolt for 2k on critt with nice spell dmg.

-Polymorph lasts 20 secs when its cast on you, i don't know about when its cast on somebody else.
-At level 70, felhound is level 55
-Enveloping Winds is the name of the "cyclone like ability"
lasts 10 secs and breaks on damage.

Well! I didn't realize that this cute little bag summoned anything. I got it yesterday and used it for the first time in Warsong Gulch...much to my surprise (and I'm sure everyone else's) I suddenly had a Felhunter by my side.

Truly an awesome trinket...maybe next battleground I won't be surprised.

Found this in a random chest in Searing Gorge. I just sold it on the AH for 144g. I think that's a lot more than what it's really worth. Once you get into the end game raids and instances, no one will care about having an extra pet or doing some 175 dmg spells. There are far better trinkets you will be getting later in the game, and once you equip this it kinda goes to waste. So I would suggest selling it and getting a nice chunk of money.

The Six Demon Bag has a 30 min cooldown, with a random cast of a spell. Chances are, this will summon a demon, 20% of the time. Examples of Summons; Infernal, Felhunter, Ect. Those Examples are all I've been able to summon. The casting spells do around 175 damage and are very useful during PvP.

For those that don't have any trinkets, I would suggest getting this. This goes great with the Helm of Fire.. Peace out. :D

well it's not so great about 90% of the time.. never, ever, ever count on this thing to actually do something useful. It seems like the only times it actually did something neat, like summon a felhunter (have not seen an infetrnal yet but really want to), is when you least need it, and when in pvp or dueling it doesn't do much of anything :P

By the way, found it off of a firegut ogre. Was super tempted to sell it but I was always really curious to see what this thing was all about and had almost bought one at the AH a while ago just to try it. Well luckily I got to try it without having to drop some money on it at the AH. And I must say it's not so good...

My fav trinkets: blackhand's breadth (I'm a rogue.. crit build one too... this thing could not be more handy for me) and gnomish death ray.. super random device but one time it critted for 4247 damage :)

This trincket is just for fun, not for dmg dealing. I find it funny when i use it in AV, procs some random frostbolt/fireball/etc, 1 second later i get silenced by a mage, poor g uy bonks himself on the head when he realises i'm a warrior ;)

it seems alot of people are interested in blizzard's reference to movies and such with in-game quests and character names so ..... i think this is a reference to a movie called 'big trouble in little china' (kurt russel and others) one of the other characters in the movie was an old chinese guy that had what i think he called a 'six demon bag' that envoked all things fire wind and fury or something along those lines .... if i am wrong please correct me because i dont own the movie ... only watched it 10-15 times but not in 2 yrs or so ... funny movie i reccomend it

I have had this item for some time and it has done a few diffrent things
1. fire ball 175 -200 damage
2. frost bolt 200 damage and slows
3. chain lightning 200 to up to 5 targets
4. polymorph to a sheep... talk about freaking out your group.. lol
5. summon hellhound. he does good damage and has 1500 hp
6. have also had a tornado immobalize effect

because you never know what it will do it is no good for instances. found that out when i used for pull an did chain lightning we survived but i felt like a noob

I was wondering forever if anyone would ever get the referance from "Big Trouble in Little China". This was one of my all time fav. movies when I was growing up so it was AWESOME to see this item when I was playing, it made my day :). I would reccomend the movie to anyone who is interested, as it is a good 80's action flick w/ Kurt Russel.

I've frapsed every shot I've taken with this - expect a whole movie of 6 demon bag shots in the near future!

With a level 48 priest wearing Dreamweave Vest, Gloves, Circle, +9 dmg from dammger +8 from boots I get:

7 x Frostbolt: 224 damage
6 x Fireball: 274 damage
4 x Chain lightning: 249 damage to every target

Best use yet was chasing an FC in WSG, out of mana so I hit him with lightning to kill him.

This is GREAT. Consider it to be your new instant damage spell. Big cooldown, but no mana to use and really funny when it works.

ok just clearing this up, i have had this for about 6 lvls now and its hillarious, and this is a list fo what this baby does :)

Fireball does about 180 dmg on average and shoots about 25% of the time you use this, this one isn't any good just funny.

Frostbolt this one slows (great for PvPing) and does about 200dmg, this shoots about 25% of the time... its not as good as it get buts meh...

Chain Lightning being a shaman, this isn't great but for a rogue or something this would be good, about 215dmg and jumps 2 times, all in all ok, shoots about 25% of the time

Enveloping Winds this is rare, but very very nice, 7 seconds of immobilisation that CAN'T BE BROKEN! This will only shoot like 5% of the time

Summon Felstalker/Infernal this again is rare, but the BEST thing this bag can do, self explanatory, a lvl 45 felstalker or 55 infernal... This only shoots like 5% of the time... :(

Arcane Missiles this again has only happened like 10 times over like 200 uses, but its ok, pretty funny when you are in a group... 5% chance of shooting.

Polymorph This is the final ability of the demon bag, a fun one, can back fire, but rarley, again about a 10% chance to hit... a good spot of fun...

I pulled it out and whadya know, it summoned a felhunter for me.

In response to this trinket being useful at lvl 70...

I just got this last night as all I do is PvP and any extra insta-cast dmg is worth a trinket slot. But the dmg alone is not the main thing that makes this trinket worth it... it's what each attack can do.

In the past few hours i've been using this in Bg's i've gotten:

-Fireball which hits for 800-900 non-crit and about 1500 crit. I haven't been able to notice if it leaves a dmg over time on the enemy yet.
-Frostbolt which hits for about 800 non-crit and also slows the enemy. This has helped in WSG when im chasing down the flag carrier allowing me that extra few seconds to wrath-spam.
-Chain Lightning which hits 3 targets (maybe more but that's the highest i've gotten) target for 600 non-crit and 1200 crit. This is good when enemies are clustered.
-Cyclone that immobilizes the enemy... another one that's great if u can get lucky enough to get it on the flag carrier. However, i think there's a chance to have it canceled on dmg.
-Felhound which as of right now is the only one that is a waste... good thing it's very rare. Does little to no dmg and most of it's attacks are resisted. when combined with treants it help by giving the enemy 4 extra targets to distract them with.

The questions I have are that some ppl said they did a "drain life" effect and "tranquility". As both of the regular spells are channeled, if u activate the trinket while running will it cancel the channel or will it just channel by itself even if u move/attack? As most of these spells are lvl 40-50 spells the tranquility should heal for about 500 dmg every 2 seconds at least(probably more if u have high healing gear).

So all-in-all this trinket works pretty damn well in PvP giving urself an extra mana-free insta-cast doing something unexpected. In PvE... stick with ur 150 spell dmg and 200 AP trinkets.

Let me tell you something, this is one of the best trinkets you can get in pvp, especially in arenas at 70.

Did you know that this trinket is actually manupilated by your Spell Damage? yes, and on a 100% scale.

With 700+ spell damage your have a trinket that has an instant cast of 1000+ damage, on a 3 minute cooldown. Having that extra 1000 damage in arena with a mage or a lock can spell doom for any opponent.

This trinket is more than reliable, 8/10 time it will score a fireball, chainlightning or even a frostbolt with an added slow effect for 1000+ damage, instantly. You can get the cyclone stun if your unlucky, since its next to useless (and dots break it) and it is also possible that you turn your self into a sheep for 15 seconds (which in cases could be a good thing)

Get this before Blizz realises its bugged and fix it.

Didn't know if it would affect having a warlock pet out already. Have had this trinket for about 2 months, but i wanted to save if for an alt that has spell damage bonuses so that the effects would scale up better. Shame the felhound doesn't last for very long. This was me at lvl 48 and the minion was lvl 54.

- Turned me into a sheep
- Summoned lv 55 fellhound
- created whirlwind around enemies and transported then 20 yards.

Random but fun - if had the chance again would have payed bout 200g

It was a good run... I can't even tell you how many killing blows I stole with instant cast 1200 chain lightning crits as a lock.

I got this, and after the patch it kinda sucked.... still it was worth a few laughs dueling lower level mages and killing them with frost bolts and fireballs as a pally. A lot of people have lists already of what it can do up there, but, ive also had it cast dampen magic on me, which seems absent from the lists.... Oh well ^^ if you get it its fun to dink around with..... thats about it.

This dropped for me off of one of the Jadefire satyr in Jaedenar, Felwood. I considered hanging on to it but couldn't help but try to sell it for a crazy price in the auction house (hey, you never know until you try!). I poked around for a price check over the trade channel, and someone offered to buy it for 40 gold. I felt like I could get a lot more for it, so I put it up for sale in the auction house. Sure enough, I managed to sell it for a lot more: a 125 gold buyout. I'll admit that I set my first buyout price at 150 gold--I had to lower it a bit to make the sale--and that I had to relist it three times, but I still think 125 is a decent amount and well worth the effort.

My point is that if you get a rare blue drop like this and are willing to part with it, it's worth trying to sell at an exorbitant price at least once just to see if you get any bites. Call me names if you must, but this is capitalism at work! :)

Six Demon Bag - R.I.P Sep 25, 2007. (**Nerfed - no longer scales with +dmg).

In true Blizzard fashion, they had to kill this fun item. Gone are 1200+ fireballs, and 1800 frostbolt crits and a host of other surprises. Now you are lucky if the bag farts out 175 dmg.

This Bag is hillarious! Fireballs, Fel-hunter, Sheep target, yes even Sheeped myself... random backfires! Get it for the lolz~

Recreating this part on Trinket threads as it may be useful to you:
A macro:
/use Name Of Trinket
/cast Name Of Move
Then swap in this macro's icon to where the attack icon was. An easy combo move to any fight and it'll be ready again before you know it. If you want to choose when trinket pops rather than blowing your cooldown at first chance, place macro in 2nd bar at same spot as regular attack and assign Shift/key#.

You can even do multiples
ie:
/use Six Demon Bag
/use Crystalforged Trinket
/use Bladefist's Breath
/use Yet Another Choice
/cast Backstab

If a trinket is not ready or equipped, you'll just get "item not ready" and your attack continues like normal.

patch note: item Cast Spells: Many spells cast by items were being cast as if the caster were the same level as the item. Most of those will now be cast at the player’s level, giving them a reasonable chance to miss, be dispelled, or be resisted.

Got this from the AH at lvl 47 for 25g... absolutely love it! Totally worth it in my opinion.

I've gotten all the effects out of it, (including sheeping myself once)... and I gotta say, I don't know if the % changed when they changed the CD to 3 min, but I've gotten the felhound minion thing at least 7 times. He only lasts about 30 seconds, but in pvp it can be a lot of fun.

Nothing throws ppl off like a druid with a minion...

It's great to have just for added damage, it's a mana free instant cast with a 3 min cooldown... true there are better damage/effect trinkets out there, but while waiting for them to CD I always use this.

The windstorm has also come in handy many times for stopping the flag carrier, although it's more rare than the other effects. I usually get the chain lightning or fireball.

One last thing tho to ppl who have one, once or twice I've used it and seen no effect at all. In the combat log it says You cast Six Demon Bag but doesn't list the effect. The only think I can figure is it sheeped them and I had them rooted at the time, so the effect was voided. Any ideas?

All those people who complain about the CD on the trinket are plain stupid. You should ofcourse not keep it equipped all the time while you're waiting for the CD. I use Zandalaran Hero Charm on my Warlock meanwhile I wait for CD. And when the cooldown is gone I equip it again and hopes for a crit. =)

It's great cause damagegear affects the trinket damage.

Damage is fairly minimal. Highest I've ever seen is 200. As a rule, this item is pretty worthless. Not sure why it even commands the fees it does.

Friend of me and I have this thing since around 13 Levels and we sometimes had a Lvl 60 Demon that was VERY hard to kill. This thing bashed almost everything to death in Astranaar during a raid e.g.

It VERY often saved our lifes in PvP -> SUPERIOR item! Very glad I have this, price was 150 Gold and VERY worth it.

I bought the six demon bag for 11g last night

The effects i got so far:
- Sheep target
- Lightning chain
- Fireball
- Frosball

No summon or sheep (self) yet

The 30 minutes cooldown on it makes it crap, i think it should be like 5 - 10 minutes. 15 minutes max!

But this item is fun, and when you're out of mana, it might be the last hit to kill someone :)

The reason why i love this item:
- Sheeped the horde with the flag in bg while he tried to capture the flag, we won cuz of this; Thanks god :)

Besides the usual Lightning chain, Fireball, Frostball I got the level 54 Felhunter tonight, it seemed to last less than a minute. 4 mins between usage means alot more interesting effects.

Turned me into a sheep for about 2 seconds, as well, once!

This item was changed in patch 2.2 to NOT be affected by the users + spell dmg. It was however changed to 3 minute cooldown which is awesome for 40-49 bracket pvp.

I LOVE it on my rogue, if my sprint/blind is on cooldown and the flag carrier is ahead of me, I've many times been able to icebolt them or windstorm.

As mentioned above it has 6 different effects (thus 6 demon bag) but has a chance to backfire when sheeping and sheep you instead. I've used this probably 50-100x so far and have only had the sheep effect proc once and it sheeped me instead of the flag carrier. I believe there to be a bug on the sheep effect. It sheeped me for 15 seconds and the max sheep in BGs is supposed to be 10 seconds. I haven't

Expect it cast firebolt (35%) and chain lightning (30%) most of the time, icebolt (20%), windstorm (10%) and the rest about 1-5%. I've not had it cast felhunter yet in 50-100 tries and only sheeped once. :(

I'll start keeping a log to get a better sampling.

People want this item because it is from Big Trouble in Little China - one of the coolest cult flicks of all time. I would want this even if it did nothing but sit there just for the cool factor.

I have used this for 3 levels now and seen it do:
* Fireball for 200-300 damage
* Lightning bolts for about 200 damage
* Ice Ball which slows/damages enemy
* Tornados around enemy, temporarily holding them

I have read/heard it does other things but they must be rare? I have heard it summons things sometimes but have yet to see that, it must be rare or I must be very unlucky. I fire it off every chance I get. It's a novelty item at best, but still amusing to suddenly toss lightning at enemies in PVP. etc. ;)

brought mine at lv 48 and had it for a few months now, yeah its nothing special but cost me 40g (got it for btlc ref and i had no decent trinket)

and i doubt i would change it, i always keep it handy

its not to be relied on in battle but i found in pvp when a mage has flag and has just frost nova you and your sat waiting you can fire of and hope it might sheep him or ice him, whirlwind him or maybe if your lucky the fireball might be what it takes to finally kill him

btw i critted 401 with fireball in bg (also dots)

and yes in order of likily hood i have found ice,fire,lighting,sheep,wind,felhound

Have this on my 53 tauren hunter Badamf(ne one listen to danecook) prity fun when ur in Pvp or PvE ive gotten all the
1st one it can do: frostbolt
2nd: Fireball(no added burn damage)
3rd: Chain lightning
4th: Polymorph
5th: wind thing(stuns them untill attacked or it wears)
6th(and my fav): summons a lvl 54-55 Felhound
havnt gotten sheeped have had to felhound summons in a row the 3 mins cooldown is awesome and if ne one is selling one on Bloodhoof sever pst me on Mactruk want tell me price. very interested in buyin if u have alliance character with it maybe we can set up neutral AH buy

I think that the cooldown is now 3 min instead of 30 but it got nerfed since I casted it on something: got lightning, only 198 dmg, while I am a lock with some spell dmg gear on.

just gonna say this is kickass now with 3 min CD

best part is that i can use it in my catform lol.....
imagine their faces when in catform i shoot fireballs and do chainlightning every 3 min hahahahahahaha
not to mention druids with felhunter is ftw
53 druid right now and ill probably keep this till some so incredibly powerful comes along ill just have to ditch it

it sounds great my mate has it and its awesome if i ever get one i'd rather sell it considering it goes for quit alot but it'd be cool for me in the bg's spam a chain lightning (which has a 6 sec cooldown (i'ma shammy)) and then another out then a felhunter and shooting fire and and wind and and and MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAhah ehhhh but i'd rather have 1000's of g

I've witnessed a new effect with it yesterday, one not listed here. It had a whirhlwind kinda animation and it stunned the target up to seconds.

Now the lightning hits for up to 550 dmg while I am in Outs gear so it IS affected by spell dmg. However it is planned to be nerfed, bouhoo, GG blizz.

Cooldown has been dropped to 4 minutes! It is now incredibly useful, and worth keeping equipped in PvP, at least IMO.

It's very nice nowadays, the cooldown is 3 minutes. And the effects are useful, for a spelldmg mage this trinket is actually very good... For other classes, why not.. Every 3min you can insta 200dmg on one target, or even more if you get the chain-lightning... Also the Fel-thing is quite useful. I am glad I got one for 40g. No regrets. (+ It makes people go "woot" if they see a combat pet on a mage, or a lightning spell by a mage.. Etc)

ok...ive heard of three things that this does that are not posted on here.......

1.ive heard that sometimes it casts tranquility. healeing allies for 500+

2.Summoning an infernal rare.......but it has happened....

3. and finally, it cast arcane missles....dont know wht rank..but cool >_>

oh and just to let you guys know...if you polymorph yourself thats a good thing cuz your regeneration increases ten fold :)

the effect is random, im pretty sure its 6 effects, Ive had it shoot fireballs, lightning, summoned a Felound pet, turned myself to a sheep, ice ball too i think. Really cool toy although its not something you can depend on in a pinch.

Let's say some items are mostly useless at the levels that they are attained... this gets me thinking... how could i use this.. then i think sometimes i go farming in lower zones for fun, lower level items i need for tradeskills.. whatever.. wouldn't some of these items be useful or fun to help aoe, say you round up about 10 to 15 mobs then let loose.. you'ld end up with a quick mop up and looting.. then rinse and repeat..

I have seen most of the uses this lttle trinket has. I'm sure the NE I sheeped was like..."wtf...a hunter just sheeped me!" It's a great little trinket, but as a few mention earlier, not to be relied on as an end all, but it is definalty fun. Also, I just had someone tell me it summons a demon which is a very rare occurance. Not really sure whether I beleive that or not. Any truth to this?

The first time I heard anything abou this was on a fansite for the movie BTiLC.<one of my favs> and knew I had to have this. As fate would have it, a week later, I looted this of a random mob in blasted lands. Was I stoked or what?

I've seen this do all six things now.. and I would say six are all it does, that'd be appropraite after all. Confirmed:

1. Shoots fireball (damage)
2. Shoots ice ball (damage)
3. Shoots lightning (damage multi-target)
4. Creates wind-storm around enemy (hold/slow)
5. Summons felhunter guardian for 30 seconds
6. Turns enemy into sheep

Never seen it create a demon though. Not saying it's impossible, but 6 effects from the 6 Demon Bag seems right. Used this over a hundred times now. :)

Found 1 in a solid chest in eastern plaguelands...was just killing some ghosts that jumped me then I see a chest...I open it find some silver / the bag and some jewelcrafting recipe :)

The cooldown is rediculous. Especially compared to other Trinkets -and- when used it gives all other usable Trinkets a 5 min cooldown aswell. And for what? 200 damage tops? that's plain stupid. Compared to the Chained Essence of Erenikus, ot's crap. It has 15 minute cooldown and does roughly 450 AoE damage.

The damage done by this Trinket is neglectable, even with a 5 min cooldown timer. This is not an item that is going to turn the tide of battle. I'd be happy of they made the cooldown 10 minutes tops.

its got more than 6 effects apparently:
other poeple have had it sheep themself, and sheep target.

I havent seen the sheep yet myself. of course i've seen the fire and frost bolts, as thats what it does the most often, byfar.

also though:
-hurricane stun effect (identical to what a few harpies use)
-chain lightning
-summon Felhunter gaurdian
-summon Infernal gaurdian

the two demons are quite rare though it seems. ive gotten the felhunter once in the year i've owned the thing, and the infernal twice, the most recent being in October a couple days before halloween as it happened.

If you get this item as a mage, its fireball / frostbolt damage can be increased with your spellpower items! I'm not too sure on the coefficient, I have +692 spellpower with the 6 demon bag trinket on, and the fireball hit for 892. (Comment made in p6)
