Given how common this item -appears- to be, it would be a mistake to spend more than 50g for it. On Darrowmere (relatively new) it is up on the AH for 400 g. Save your money, it'll be cheaper.

And if you do, you will realize that it has a lot of good uses. I'm afraid you need to stop and think a second if you fail to see a good use for it at first glance. I can assure you it has numerous possibilities.

Mine was contained in a Southsea Pirate box, which isn't listed there. I don't know if that matters, but there are a lot of them around the pirate camp in Tanaris.

Definately one of the rarest items in game >.< I am lucky to have one, I was browsing aclhemy recipes when someone put it in, when I refreshed AH it was there, for just 10g! I haven't found much use for it yet, but it's cool to have, among with lunar festival firework recipes, snowmaster, steam tonk and others xD

got my dream vision recipe for just 2.5 gold, I don't know if they didn't know how hard it is to get one but, when I just looked it up, very happy with the elixir.
likely going to use these instead of eye of kilrogg when I'm bored in bgs.

only downside i can see is, your dream vision can't jump, makes it a little annoying trying to get some places

I just found this item from a Dunemaul Enforcer. Now that was something unexpected. Sold for 100g in AH (probably could have gotten more though).

For those wondering this potion lets you go out of your body and explore the area for 2 minutes. So its a pretty useful potion to have.

I just found one in a Reinforced Steel Lockbox. I was on my rogue alt leveling lock picking and i picked this box and there it was. So they can come from lock boxes i guess.

Can this be used in combat? I would like to explore the uses of this some more. Does it leave you vulnerable to anything? Can you still see mobs and stuff?

I got this from BRD.
When you drink potion your body will go to sleep and anyone can attack to it. It's like that your spirit jumps out of your body :)
It's like channeled spell with 2min duration. You can explore any place you want without aggro and you see everything like you were walking yourself.

This is a great potion for PVP in warsong Gulch I've come to find out. Just make sur eyou find a good hiding spot ;) Oddly enough it dropped off of a Flame snorting Whelp in the Wetlands.

To answer some questions, basically, You move forward, but your character doesn't. Think of First person run through without aggro or anyone knowing what you are doing. hence: great WSG Pot. Yes it does leave them vulnerable, but that is mainly on your part to make sure that your toon is safe before using.

Can you use this potion to expose portions of the map you've never been to before?

yes you can explore places you have never been too, either in the wold or inside instances. I used it to scout the bosses in AQ40 just for fun. You see everything that is there however nothing reacts to you. You can go through creatures and even bosses. I even saw the masters eye in the Emps chamber while the rest of the raid was in Huhus room... All in all a pretty neat little potion.

Bought this for 75s BO on AH. I have NEVER seen it in the AH before, so I was thrilled to get it so cheap. Very fun potion... useful to anyone.

Pretty sweet for exploring what my guild didn't clear of AQ40 and Naxx before BC came out. Started at Huhu's/Razuvious' empty rooms and went my two-minutes worth into the instance. Then looked at the rest of the wings in Naxx. Downside is that there are so many locked gates; for example after Patchwerk. =(

Other than that though, I definitely am I glad I picked this up off Taerar before BC came out. =D Sadly next to no one does world dragons anymore (at least on my server).

Still experimenting with market prices for actual elixirs in BC itself. Chances are, prices will rise with demand increases as fewer people will have the recipe.

Now this recipie is an old recipie. Not many people know many good uses for them thats why I haven't seen any of them selling. I can make these in Undermine Alliance, Kubankhaos. So hit me up if you need a few. But anyways I found the perfect use for them. Now the people that are trying to get netherwing rep this will come in handy. The mines where some daily quests are at is a huge cave full of monsters. If you stand in the center point of this cave where all the tracks meet up you can use one potion to check under the mines where the sluges are at and another to check the flayers side then back track to the miners side. If there is an egg just go for it, if not then your not waisting any time.=)

Just had this drop for me while I was farming the Azure Whelpling in Azshara. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price here.
Tossing up whether to sell the recipe or use it and sell the elixirs. My alchemist is an elixir master too :)

Very, very rare - just check the probabilities. Dropped yesterday from Solid Chest in Azshara. I believe I can sell it north of 150G. If not, I just learn it ;-)

Got this recipe from a mithril lockbox last night in Azshara. Must be pretty rare, because i could not find any in Draka/Alliance AH, nor any of the elixirs. Curious as to what I can sell this recipe for. Or should I start another toon with alchemy? Also got the Transmute undeath to water a few nights ago. Have not sold it yet either. Any ideas?

I just payed 90G for this io Khaz'Gorath. I first saw the auction at 50g, so I bid and went to bed. Woke up in the middle of the night, saw it at 90g so I said "What the hell..." and bid again. Now that I'm actually awake, I'm wondering if it was a good idea. I still have plenty of money, but I dunno.

Though before I saw it at the AH, I never even heard of it. Never even seen the elixir in my 3 months on the server... I wonder if I'm the only one who can make it?

It's a cool effect... a little hard to move your character, but a good potion to have.

Got mine from the quest you get when you put all 3 map fragments together (keep forgetting the name) never even knew of it before now and its currently on Bronzebeard AH for around 110g
