You must be drunk (the level of drunkenness beyond "tipsy") to see the pink Elekks. To get drunk, purchase some alcohol from a vendor and drink it. Once you are sufficiently inebriated, visit the following locations:

Silvermoon: Just outside the city gates where the road intersects with the path to the enterence of the city.
Thunder Bluff: The base of the elevator on the west side of the bluff.
Undercity: The courtyard on the surface.

If you are drunk, you will see the pink elekks. Simply target them and use the quest item. They will not aggro and will die within a few seconds. Kill three at each location.

I don't believe this quest has a minimum level requirement (since it takes place in newbie zones), but if you don't have a Burning Crusade account you will be unable to get the quest because it requires visiting an expansion-only zone. You can still get drunk and see the elekks in the old world though.

If you have been unable to obtain this quest at the beginning of the festival, it will be worth it to check if you can get it now. A hotfix has been recently applied to enable this quest on all chars.

Even if you DID get it the first time (and completed it), you should check it again. This because the hotfix also reset the quest for most players that already did it at the time it was applied.

Recall to Shattrah > Thunderbluff > Hearth to Shat > Silvermoon > Port to Undercity

If ur at Shattrah and ur extremely lazy
Port to TB>Recall>Port to Silvermoon>Hearth>Port to UC>Wait for Recall to be back up

Curiosity:
Pink elekks refer to the Walt Disney cartoon Dumbo where the little elephant and his mouse friend get drunk and start seeing pink elephants dancing and playing with bubbles.
If you watch carefully the pink elekks you will notice they are breathing bubbles from their nose.

You can not repeat this quest. Even though some people were able to repeat it, it was just a glitch.

The cords are corect. Very easy quest..
Remeber there is an teleport from UC to silvermoon.. Saves alot of time :)

Thunder bluff beer garden 29,62 just outside TB

Undercity beer garden as you go into the undercity you cant miss it

Silvermoon beer garden 56,52 again just outside

Anyone found these lately? The coords above are in the middle of the mountains in Mulgore. Tried getting drunk and ran around the zone but no pink elekk.

Be sure to target them and then use the device, it doesn't seem to register if you right click and then click on the elekks. So target first and then right click on the ray

So...where do you get the ray thingy? I'm alliance, but should be the same concept for the other side. I have not seen a quest for this, but maybe I need to go the the other cities, as IF and SW are the only 2 I have gone to for the Fest.

edit: I also could not find the quest as of this afternoon before work. I'll have to look again, as I know (for alliance anyways) where the guy is supposed to be and maybe it is a low level quest so I wouldn't get the ! over his head.

Who gives this quest? I've been all over Orgrimmar's fest and can't find it. Is it Glodrak Huntsniper? He gave me the quest for the wopeltinger, but that's it. Do you have to be a certain level for it?

to be able to see these Pink Elekk´s you need to be drunk buy BEER or some other toxicating drinks from any vendor´s at the camps and once you are drunk you can see them as green friendly targets. pretty cool Zap beam coming when pressing the thing to slay them. go hunting :D

Visit the beer gardens outside of Silvermoon, Thunder Bluff, and the Undercity, zap three elekks at each location, and return to Glodrak Huntsniper. You must be drunk to see the pink elekks.

Look. We're running a business here. People being drunk? It's good business. But I'll tell ya one thing that puts a cramp in the profits - hallucinations. Wouldn't ya know it, the boys are reporting that the sot- er, the loyal customers are seeing pink elekks everywhere.

I don't need my customers unsettled. Look, take this ray and travel to the other beer gardens to take care of 'em for me, would ya? And be sure to get drunk!
