The quest is to see Caylee Dak who is a memorial for Dak Krause who died of leukemia in August. His character was named Caylee, and his pet, Dusky, appears with him(well, her and the character was female).
The poem was written by a guildie of Dak's named Alicia.
Alicia went on to petition Blizzard for the memorial and succeeded in gettting herself and her poem into the game as well as Caylee.

It is a very moving poem, however the original version is by Mary Frye who supposedly wrote it for a friend who felt unable to visit her mother in Germany because of the anti-Semantic feelings there...

Facts state that this quest requires level 69. I received it at 64.

I dont know, the quest maybe was bugged but i when i went to complete the quest i didn't have the provided item with me unfortunately

You don't have to stealth it, unless your exalted with Scryers. I'm hated with them and rode straight in past half the guards, without being attacked once.

Thanks i just done this quest i found it in Stormwind keep after helping a friend then when i looked it up i relised what the quest is about im sorry and i would like to pay my respect and to thank blizzard for putting up the npc very respectfull .....

I didn't understand the point of this quest at first, so I checked to see if there was some follow-up of some sort...

This was very touching, and really took me aback. :( Very sweet that blizz did implement this quest. i pay my respects as well.

I just simply stealthed pat the guards as a 61 rogue and i am a scyer and no flyer

As a 60 Mage allied with the Scryer's, I just walked in and right up to here. Not sure if I just got lucky, but nothing attacked me (although, yes, we were hostile seeing as though all names were in red and my little pointer hand turned into a sword when I hovered over Aldor).

To avoid dying as a scryer simply hover (if you have your flyer) over him, so long as you dont touch down you are safe

Sort of a conflict to see Blizzard putting memorials like this into the game and yet they seem to feel like lip-service just to make them seem "heart filled" and "caring" while they apparently have some pretty %^&*ed up @#$% going on in their own house. Sort of demeans all these 'tributes'....
