Well they suggest a party of two..... I guess my pet and I were a party of two as it did not take long to get him down even if he is an elite mob. Actually, this is the easiest elite mob I ever killed while soloing - with or without a pet.

I soloed him as a lvl 11 Warlock, hes is easy if you just let your pet/imp do some work on holding aggro until your pet/imp has a small HP left. then you take aggro;)

You don't need to have a party for this quest, most classes can solo him without the use of potions, and all classes can solo him with the help of a potion at level 11.

Classes with pets, and mages should have the easiest time in doing this quest. Ranged classes should stand on top of one of the buildings, DPS him, and when he comes close jump down and repeat (Frost nova when he's on top works wonders.)

Very hard for a lvl 12 rogue. evation, a healthpot and a bandage will make it only just possible to get him down.

The quest reward 'Stung' is a reference to 'Sting', Bilbo's weapon from the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Later, Bilbo gave the sword to his nephew Frodo who used it to fight (but not kill) Shelob, a giant spider.

Anok'suten walks down a ramp (61,16) and patrols on the circular path around Suncrown Villiage. Soloed easy as a lvl 12 hunter, just stood back and pewpewed her down while my pet growled to hold aggro. This quest is probably easiest for warlocks and hunters to solo since they have pet tanks. Also, pick up "Suncrown Villiage" from Arcanist Vandril, like Yorkville mentioned, and do these quests together and turn them both in to Arcanist Vandril.

Soloed him ez as a lvl 11 hunter. Very ez with a pet like Camouflage said. This quest gives good rewards for this lvl and so should be completed as soon as you're ready.

It was very easy as a level 12 rogue. I had to use evasion, slize and dice plus a healing potion. Later he got me back by killing me while I was fighting two other mobs, I think he is a rogue too.

Quite easily soloed as an unbuffed level 13 rogue, using Evasion and a Minor Healing Potion, eventually a Gouge and bandage in case of bad luck. She'll call for help when she gets low on health, so be sure to clear off possible adds before engaging battle.

I got her down to 1% the first time as a lvl 13 rogue with a pot and then died, but the next time I cleared the adds and got her easy. As long as she's alone, you will have no problem.

wow...SO easy as a 12 Lock...send in VW...DoT him with Immolate, CoA and Corruption wait til Immolates almost gone, cast them all again, then Shadowbolt 3 times and boom, shes dead.

Soloed as an 11 shaman and a 10 lock (as in with two different characters. Just thought I'd clear that up). He summons adds apparently, but he didn't in either of my encounters. It's funny though, the one reward is a 1h sword called "stung." Funny part - If you've ever read The Hobbit, Bilbo had a 1h sword called "Sting." =]

Not too hard on a 12 mage. Remember to clear the area so he (she?) is alone.

Start at max distance with a frostbolt which will slow him down. Try to get as many fireballs in between untill he reaches you, end with an instant cast Fire Blast. By that time he will be hitting you, so Frost Nova him and run to max distance again. Continue with a frostbolt to slow him down and spam fire balls and Fire Blast until he dies, this will be before he reaches you.

At the end of the fight your health should still be close to 100%, your mana will be gone however. Perfectly doable with this technique at level 12. As a mage you will use this method more often, it's called 'kiting'.

I was able to solo Anok'suten with varying degrees of difficulty as various classes, each at lvl12. The Hunter was by far the easiest class to solo with, followed by Warlock (I say this due to the instant damage of the Hunter vice the DoT damage of the Warlock, and to me, speed equals easy), Paladin, Mage, and then Rogue. With the Mana Tap ability, you can isolate her very easily, just... make sure you clear the area out before you make the pull, or you'll get wtfpwned when she calls for her lackies.

Soloed as lvl 11 Shaman.

Earthbind Kite. Its tricky but doable. Use Shocks, Flame Totem, and berzerk (for trolls) when you get him down low to finish him off. Bewary, he hits pretty hard!

She is walking around get her at the east side! On that place are no mobs.
She's maybe only lvl 11 but she hits hard

According to MobInfo she has ~615 hp.
She hits for ~25-35hp and crits for ~55hp (- your armor's dmg reduction)

Make sure you pull her away from all of the guards. She calls for assistance when she gets close to dying, attracting any nearby guards.

If your class has the ability to avoid getting hit by her at this low level, you may indeed be able to solo her, but if you can not, her high dps will most likely kill you before you kill her.

solo'd as a level 11 rogue. dagger mh sword offhand. open with backstab and sinister strike as often as possible while eviscerating every couple combo points. once your hp gets low gouge him and bandage up as much as you can, pop evasion ans pray for crits

Solo'd as a level 13 Druid.

As you get to Suncrown village, there is a building on the left, just up from the Dying Blood Elf, there is one lone Guard inside. I killed all the guards around the building and the one inside, then I waited for Anok'suten to come. When she got close I went Root,Wraith, Wraith, Wraith, Moonfire, by that time Roots broke so I popped Rejuv and shifted into Bear form, went back inside the little building and then Enrage, DemoRoar, Auto-Attack, Auto-Attack, Maul, AA, AA, Maul, and she was dead. I had about 30% health left when she finally went down.

Pretty easy.

Lvl 13 priest. Didn't even get through my Shield once.
Just make sure to clear all mobs in the area, or pull him out of the town a bit or his adds might give you troubles.

Soloed rather easy as lvl 11 UD mage,first try.

I pulled with a Fireball,then arcane missiles,get hit (had frost armor on),minor healpot,run,frostbolt kite and fireblast until it died.

I used a Condensed Mana Powder, Minor Healing potion and Faintly Glowing Skull.
Was completely dressed in grey/white items.

13 hunter and 12 pet, before these elites were really tough to kill but I guess for the expansion, they made this one seem like a regular.

Soloed at lvl 13 (BE Hunter), lvl 12 Dragonhawk as pet. Pulled two adds when it called for help, finished Anok and adds when pet was at about 1/3 health.

I guess that's what you should expect from an elite at this level.

Not for a lvl 12 mage anyway. Not without help. And in Suncrown Village, there's no shortage of other questers at almost any given time that will pitch in to help. Admittedly, I was still a little green with Warcraft in general, so I probably didn't fight it as effectively as I could have.

Tried it again later with a lvl 17 priest, and eventually brought it down.

Solod as a 12 hunter with lvl10 pet. Pretty easy, actually. Hardly hurt my pet, either. Very easy to solo.

When I saw her she was just wandering around outside along the path.

Soloed at 11 Rouge when knowing that i did not have to kill her when i was killing the guards. Then came back and did it at 12 very easy.

I come to this site to try and find an average location of where she is found. I read all the posts quickly, ALT+TAB back to my game only to see the killing blow from Anok'suten on me. Go figure. /sigh

Solo'd this as a lvl 13 Warlock. Just let my imp do most of the work while I cast immolation and corruption. Tend to walk around the villiage. Best to try and get rid of some of the surrounding spiders first.

anok also spawns on the 2nd floor of the first building on the right when you enter the town. I killed him/her there twice.

Just soloed it as 13 hunter, even getting 3 adds. My pet didn't lose more then 50& hp and i lost nothing. Very easy indeed.

Solo'd as a level 12 paladin. Possible to do at that level but not really optimal. Make sure your potions timer isn't on cooldown and you have a decent weapon (mine was 4.0 dps and I was still able to pull it off) and you should be alright. The big caveat is to try and draw her away from the other bugs. If she succeeds in calling for help all bets are off.

Solo'd as a lvl 13 paladin, but not too easily. Use mana tap to pull Anok'suten off the path and away from all the other spiders before you begin the fight because it has a call for help ability.

Managed it as level 11 Belf Prot Pally.

Gear - only a few greens, rest whites. Weapon and shield green. Goldmist Special Brew and Scroll of Stamina. Mana Tap 3 stacks.

Decided to take him near the actual dead body of the Belf you receive the quest from. Clear the area first and just wait for him to wander down the path to your left.

Pulled with Mana Tap, judged crusader and switched to seal of righteousness. Just let auto attack build damage and watched my health. Once my health dropped to around 20%, stunned him with hammer of justice and got off a Holy light. To save mana I only judged righteousness when it was close to running out - immediately reapplied for the holy damage.

Once my health went down to 20% again, used Divine Protection and got off another holy light.

Just let the auto attack grind him down and judge when needed. Arcane Torrent to get some mana back if needed with the 3 stacks of mana tap.

Never needed Lay on Hands.

Took a while, but can be done, even with rubbish gear.
