I heard that a warrior with few pieces of Tier 3 and some greens had normal raid buffs and had nearly 16k health :( that's scary.

Is the 4set bonus on this really worth it? To those with 4+/5, how greatly does the haste effect your TPS? Is it a small boost or is it a noticeable jump?

For clarification, this is the Protection Warrior Tier 5 Raid Set.

Tokens for this set are available from the following bosses:

Yes, because we play World of Warcraft to get realistic looking armour, like they would've used in the medieval period!

...except, this isn't the medieval period, and anyone playing this game for the realism is $%^&*!ed. Interesting looks > realistic looks every time.

And here is the interesting thing. I compared them by dividing the total amount of stats with how many parts the armor had. t3 got 9 parts but the ring only gives stam and some block or something so I did only include the ring in the stamina.

t5 armor 6136/5=1227 per armor part.
t3 armor 6475/8=809.3 per armor part.

t5 str 82/5=16.4 ...
t3 str 147/8=18.3 ... more than t5.

t5 agi 96/5=14.2 ...
t3 agi -

t5 stam 184/5=36.8 ...
t3 stam 296/9=32.8 ...

t5 block value (from equip) 95/5=19 ...
t3 block value 92/8=11,5

Shouldn't we get a better upgrade from tier3 to tier5 than this?

one thing the person who posted the stat comparison forgot to account for was the 7 gem slots that you get from the set making it sugnificantly more versitile than the T3 armor.

the the items you can add in to the sockets you can add more stam, strength, or even block parry and dodge, let alone resistances.

Dont forget guys. This set is only 5 peices. You only need 4 to get the set perks. So grab the peices you need and grab another set of items to give you more attack oriented perks. This should round you out some.

Also, your template will also have a great deal to do with your damage. Sounds weird but I'd love to try berserking with a 1h and shield with this set, given the right OTHER gear to shore up the damage.

Think about it... block block block... whirlwind, bloodthirst, whirlwind...

two options available just like the other class sets (of which some have 3 options) because players got annoyed with their raiding armour being (mostly) healing specific e.g all paladin/drood/sham and priest armour was +healing, now we have a choice.
its 5 pieces because that allows for much more flexibility with your armour set up rather than chasing a 9 piece set which would take ages to get all of and again you might be limited in solo work with (if that set was +healing etc
this warrior set looks as badass as ever. not a fan of the hunter t5 graphic though, looks like it was made from stuff found in a charity shop.

The pieces have sockets for gems....you idiots, and it's not a 5 piece. You have to KILL OTHER BOSSES, to get belts, bracers and boots that actually match the sets visually which you can socket, Thottbot doesn't SHOW you, that you can socket these items, Wowhead.com does. L2play and stfu about stats. If you read into a little more, spent less time comparing to outdated gear (Dreadnaught) went on the raids and actually did something other than pvp and chit chat in the Barrens, you would not be trash talking this set as much as you are.

Yes. T5 is nice. But one thing to remember that what we encounter here is BC. In BC we got a much nastier monster and bosses than before.

Before BC, wearing T3 is already a god. Looking at the stats for 70, T5 is only an average, that's why blizz gonna make more T6 T7 and another T.
