Unless the stats on Tier 6 are so in advance of 5 that the tier 5 bonus becomes meaningless, it looks like Tier 5 will remain the choice for tank healing with Tier 6 for raid healing. Interesting!

it certain looks like, to me at least (by taking a look at the lightbringer battlegear and the skyshatter raiment), that blizzard is trying to discourage retribution specced paladins and restoration specced shamans, turning them into battle-priests and battle-mages respectively.

A question for the veteran resto shammies (my shammy is only about 50 so i havnt had to focus much on gear/stats w/e - this is NOT what i think is best, merely a question) :

- Would it be best to take the chest, leggings, and helm from this set and then to take the gloves and shoulders from the elemental set? This is so you could take its 2 peice bonus (15 mana/5 sec, +35 or so spell crit and +45 spell damage when one of each element's totem is up) rather than this set's 4 peice bonus.

in my opinion more mana so you can last longer and a higher heal crit (+45 spell damage doesnt do anything for healing) > +5% lesser healing wave
(yes i know you lose some +healing from the restoration to elemental set)

i'd like to know what others thought of this

Healing way is ridiculously nice for tank healing, Chain healing is on a completely different strata.

I find myself just blasting chain heal in 5 mans on trash because most of the time something (hunter pet, warlock pet, rogue, druid... etc) took a little splash damage. Obviously its not the greatest only 1 person is taking damage, but the random multishot and all is nice.

Also, its a great way to get a "little extra" to your healing range. ;p
I'd love the 2p to death.
The T52 and the T64 make me wonder....

Sorry, fellow resto shaman, but it looks as though Blizzard is changing the set bonuses (as reflected on the site):

2 pieces: Your Lesser Healing Wave ability costs 10% less mana.

4 pieces: Increases the amount healed by your Chain Heal ability by 5%.

I guess the 10% reduction on Chain heal cost was a bit OP. Either way, a 10% reduction on lesser healing wave may not be to bad (possibly in PvP if resil wasn't needed for spam healing) even if it's just to top yourself off. I can't imagine any fights where LHW is superior to HW or CH, but you never know.

The new 4 piece could potentially be good. I won't complain about giving CH more healing power, but I'd probably prefer the mana reduction rather than the healing power.

Hi guys, the set bonuses like Wowhead reports seems to be a little OP , any confirmation from patch notes and/or PTR?
I knew that they reverted back to the old bonus (t62 chain heal 10% less mana, t64 lesser healing wave boost 5%)

Let me know i'm a bit confused :)

Apparently as of 7:54 PM on November 13, this set is given away for free to any shamans who go to the vendor in Hyjal. Of course this is a patch day bug, but one of the best I've heard of so far!
