Stealth Detection
as of patch 2.1

5 points of stealth detection raises your stealth detection by 1 level. So a level 70 player with 10 points of stealth detection can see stealthed targets as if he were a level 72 player.

Stealth works the same way. 5 points of stealth raises your effective stealth by 1 level. Rogues and druids can both spend talent points to get 15 points of increased stealth, raising their effective stealth by 3 levels.

***** A special note regarding vanish *****

The most stealth detection you can achieve is to be a human rogue, grouped with a warlock who has a felhunter out, wearing Catseye Ultra Goggles, drinking an Elixir of the Searching Eye, and using your racial Perception. This will get you a total of 119 points of stealth detection. However, the effect of vanish is as follows:

Stealth detection will NOT help you see invisible targets.
Invisibility detection will NOT help you see stealthed targets.

Though it's classified as an elixir, it won't use up either your Guardian or Battle slot. Thus, you can use it with a flask or the combination of a battle and guardian elixir. However, it does not stack with Elixir of the Searching Eye, which will instead overwrite it.(##RESPBREAK##)2056##DELIM##adashiel##DELIM##

There is an Artesan Alchemist in Undercity that will train this recipe. He is In the Apothecary Quarter, down in the dungeon part, downstairs by a bookshelf.

This was trained to me from the Artisan trainer (Expert lvl) in Darnassus. This should not be a drop anymore, if it ever was.

Anyone find this affective in pvp against equal or higher level rogues?

It kind of sucks, I can't detect high level rogues anyway.
I want a greater detection potion, i really really would want that. Make it hard to make, i don't care, as a tiny mage i need it :)

Does anyone know if this is equivalent to the Detect Lesser Invisibility potion I've seen recipes for since last patch?

for warlocks out there, does this potion stack with the felhunters paranoia abilty?

This + Felhunter + Catseye ultra goggles = 58 stealth detect. This is close to *TEN* levels of stealth detect.

A hunter with detect hidden activated, in a group with a warlock for paranoia, with a cats eye elixir up, and the goggles on would probably see rogues at the Blacksmith from the freaking farm.

I am wondering how effective these would be at hunting similar level stealthed mobs like the spiders in the dustwallow marsh that stealth. (for the bis SOD 40 level 12 stam food)
