I think this ring is good for every class except Warrior and Rogue at this level. The 2 Agility doesn't make this a good choice for warriors/rogues because they can get another ring better than this at lvl 17.

imo this is the best "twink" ring for a caster. with the intellect i think it's better than the ring from bg's. and u get xp while farming for it :)

They shouldn't have changed this ring because the old ring is good for Twink hunters, now i'm not sure what ring to use. There aren't many rings that provide mana and an extra % chance to crit

Oh suck it up cupcake, nearly every other weapon in Deadmines has had a buff to it, this was meant for casters from day 1, if you are feeling so terribly wronged, get a pure +agil ring or one of the many other weapons in the instance that have been buffed.... "+6 intel, and +2 agil for a hunter..."

EDIT: Yeah give it to any mana user now - my priest has 25% wand crit because what used to be spell crit now applies to melee and ranged as well.

As of patch 2.3 the agility turns to spell hit rating so its more viable for a caster.
and if a hunter or warrior or rogue needs this, boots them

i have faith that not a single hunter / warrior / rogue would roll on this ring anymore. it would take someone of incredible stupidity to roll on this ring if they were playing one of fore-mentioned classes. And if they were going to roll on this ring you probably wouldn't even make it to gilnid, because their inane stupidity would cause so many wipes the group would fall apart.

i went though VC with my mage...with a overkill group. this ring dropped and i was the only caster sides a lvl 29 priest. i said that i wanted but some worrior rolled on it got a 100-100 i rolled a 16-100. then of course the worrior also rolled on Emberstone Staff and Cookies wand. The worrior won them all.....i hate life

Warriors, and Rogues should never, ever roll on this item. Rogues don't need this ring because they can get a way better one at level 18 (Protector's Band), and Warriors... to put it simple, you will know you have one hell of a retarded Warrior in your group if he/she rolls on this ring. Level 17-19 Warriors don't need +6 Intellect, or even +2 Agility. If you're a Warrior don't be a dumbass by rolling on this, its a beyond crap ring for your class, and you'll highly benefit from Blood Rings, Demon Bands, and/or Protector's Bands.

Shamans, Paladins, Druids, Priests, Mages, Warlocks, and Hunters all rely on mana, so if you're a Warrior, or Rogue, and you see one of those classes rolling on it, please do the smart thing, and either roll "Greed," or simply pass on the roll. You guys can get way better rings, and you'll be ruining someones day if you roll on this ring.

When you go down to the Deadmines 50% of the players dont have high lvl alts, or cant afford to buy greens or blues for ther chars. This has always been my first ring in the game, with my priest, pally, and rouge. I dont care if its not made for a certain class, if you dont have a ring in a slot then the little +2 agl is better then nothing, and the +6 int will help in someway to all class'. Yes be a good player and pass it on to the "mana" class, if they are looking for it. But i think its good for any class.

What the hell are you guys talking about? Blood Rings, Demon Bands, and Prospector's Rings never go for more than 2 gold each. If you think 2 gold is alot at level 19, then you're a pure dumbass that needs to learn money making strategies. Rogues, and Warriors can roll on it, but if a person who actually relies on mana wants it, they should let him/her have it.

Nice way to make yourself look stupid hotpinkllamas. Maybe if you could spell better, you'd have a say on this forum.

I think first of all casters should roll for it. Imho order should be something like casters and druids, then should come palas and hunters, and only then the rest.
Not that it matters too much, it just pisses me off when I see certain comments. Surely the kind of person that looted the staff from me - I was only person who needed it and a hunter took it. Guess it is a good hunter weapon as gives some int, yea?
Also this ring was ninjaed from me by a rogue yesterday, after I said I need it (he could have waited for others to roll greed, too, if noone would have said anything).
Some people want to have all, even if they just sell it to vendors. I usually look at the item, then at the party, and if it is not something exclusively for me then I discuss or wait for others to roll and then I decide what to roll. Hell I may abstain even if I already won some nice item there over someone else that needs this.

seriously half the people running DM are noobs who just started playing the game and have never even rolled so the noobs just roll need on everything. Example a 40 rogue was taking my rogue alt (lvl 15 then) and a 23 mage. Hmm so the first green is some leather stuff and we asked him why he rolled need? He answers and says he wanted it for a friend. We tell him to stop but he keeps doing it from time to time. SO we get to the Sneed boss dude and kill him. He drops the axe and our lovely mage rolls need. I was like wow and then i got really pissed. And was liek why the hell did u roll on it? He answers with an oh i rolled for friend. SO yeah these guys are retards some of the low lvls people so stop crying about people in DM rolling on your stuff they have no clue what they're doing. Hell i didn't even know about DM till like lvl 30 on my main

Its just not worth getting upset about. No matter who rolls on it. You're lvl 17-20...anything you get at this lvl, well most things...you won't even keep for a week because in a week you'll be lvl 30. Becides, I don't even worry about trying to collect blues and other good items till I hit 45 anyway...I mean I'll roll if its good and I could use it, but I'm not gonna throw a fit if I lose, because I know tomorrow I'll get something better.

i got the ring today when doing dm with a lvl 55 friend im a lvl 19 rogue and i didnt have any rings and he passed on it.
so i may aswell have taken it.

real reason i wanted to dm was to get a cruel barb but he dropped the same thing he dropped on the first time i made it through(i have only done it a;; the way twice)
a corsairs overshirt.
(which looks ok but hasnt got very god armour)

ok, this ring IS a hunter ring first off, and it is NOT a war or rouge ring. sure, they need agility too, but it has +6 int and +2 agility. figure out the math on that one noob warriors. any spell casting class should get this ring before any warrior or rouge should. Oh, and warriors, btw, you have something called RAGE, not mana.

1.May NOT be Needed by warriors, Rogues, (uh shamans can, if they go there..)

2.The intellect let's out " caster ring" and the classes who benefits this ring most is druids, and paladins, but mages, priests and warlock may also need this for the intellect, but rogues / warriors can't need it for the agi, why?

Cause of the +6 intellect, it's a totaly waste for rogues and warriors doesn't help anything, the agi on casters on the other hand ( talking about mages, priests, warlocks) needs the +6 intellect, not really the agi but it gives some armor, dodge and all that, helps you out sometimes.

to the person that said if the horde wants this ring, that they can just come thru stv. that sucks tryin to go thru there when ur only lvl 18 or 19. i went with one of my friends and he cleared the way for me, but he had his mount...so by the time he had cleared everything ahead of me, they were starting to respawn...and adds and such. i died like 10 times goin from gg to westfall...not a fun time. the deadmines is awesome tho. i got the wand and emberstone staff. want the ring but haven't gotten it yet. later guys

I've got a level 22 preist, and i've done at least some odd 8 or 9 runs to try and get this ring and every time he drops those god danm pants. This thing can't have a 34% drop rate when crap like that happens.

I see a bunch of twinks in bg with this ring, not the casters but the rogues!

Why oh why do they have this, they all say it has agility. So this beats the Seal of Sylvanas how? Please l2twink. i think the allies can get the Seal of Wrynn which has more agility and all the other stats too.

NO twink should have this on past lvl 32. you can get better from AB rewards and with the seal of wrynn...for any class

I'm a mage, and this is one of two items I need to get out of the Deadmines. A warrior took it once, damn ninja left after that too. I already have Emberstone and Corsair's Overshirt though. ^^
Now to farm two of these things.

On my second or so deadmines run, this dropped. I was a total newbie at the time, so i was like "OMG A BLUE ITEM!", and i didn't think about the stats. Of course i won the roll, and someone got pissed at me :S

But i did not find anything better before i got Jaina's Signet Ring.

First ring I got, also first blue item (next up was the staff of westfall).
Got it at level 19, still have it 9 levels later. Only thing that can handle a candle to it is the Seal of Wrynn.

Also, I don't know what your talking about. I got it the first time I went through DM.

Went down there, I'm Priest, the ring dropped, a rogue screams "NEED!" at the top of his lungs, rolls 98. Then he goes just nuts "OMG MY FIRST BLUE ITEM!"

I got this in deadmines too. My friend had me fly over to where he was from darkshore. He's a lvl 40 dwarf hunter and i'm just a lvl 18 NE hunter. Needless to say there was a lot of dieing in DM, but i finally got the hang of it and made it through. With tons of green items for enchanting and some realy nice armor.

Very nice ring, just got me this from DM this evening. Rolled a 3 on it, versus another casters 1, so I was pretty lucky. Good intellect boost for my preist, goes well with my Corsair's Overshirt and Staff of Westfall. Loving all the blues though! :D

Heh, I hear all of you saying you've run DM 10 times to find this ring...I got it on my first run. I'm level 30 now and I've yet to find any ring that even comes close to this (heck, I haven't found one that beats the Minor Channeling Ring I also got in DM). Def. one of the best drops in DM, possibly a better drop than the Emberstone for casters since you can just get Staff of Westfall.

Yeah... definately did deadmines more than ten times trying to get this ring...

Most runs it didn't even drop... the times it did drop I rolled a 5 or less... one against another caster (I can deal with that)... the other time it was a Hunter who took it for the +2 agility...

I've literally ran DM at least 20 times for this and I still haven't gotten it. It was dropped once but some lvl.16 won the roll. ><
