Where can you get this from? What drops it?

This is a quest reward. You can tell from this:

* It has no minimim level.
* It's bind on pickup
* There's an equivalent ring called "Eye of Ogrimmar", so I'm pretty sure this is the Alliance reward and the Eye is the Horde reward.

In the abttle with the Emperor do NOT hit the princess for so much as 1hp of damage or the quest can't be completed, she will stay aggro towards you so you can't talk to her.

So is there a chain of quests that you need to do or do you just do an Emp run and talk to princess after the Emp is dead?

If you have a hunter with you, it's easy to get the Emperor without killing the Princess. Here's what you do: have the hunter begin the battle by pulling the Princess with his pet - no one else attack her! As soon as she and the Emperor run down, have the tank peel the Emperor off and keep the two of them as seperated as possible, so she is out of healing range of him. This way, no one else really places high (if at all) on her hate list but the pet, and she should stay put.

Let the pet keep the Princess busy and keep it healed, while everyone else takes down the Emperor as fast as possible. If you have two healing classes, dedicate one healer to the pet and one to the MT. If the Emperor's hammer does not proc (usually bad news for the MT), he should go down fairly easily and the Princess will still be there for you to complete this quest.

This battle plan has worked like a charm for us numerous times, except once when Ironfoe proc'ed and Thaurissan pretty much insta-killed the tank. I hope this helps others get this quest finished!

i still dont get it... were does this quest come from i used that link in the previous comments but that quest showed no reward. how can i start this quest or chain?

It starts in IF, you have to speak to the dwarf woman next to the king first. she will sent you to the burning stepes, where you have to discover information (= use the small pylons at the ruins of thaurissian). As you return the quest, the king orders you to find his daugther (moira) and her bodyguard (kharan mighthammer is his name I think). Kharan is in BRD next to Marshal Windsor. After freeing him you must return to Magni. He orders you to free the princess from the (evil) emperor.

PS: If Moira was a human it would be a classic "shining-knight-rescues-princess-in-danger-action", but she's a dwarf and i'm a mage so it's just a ... ordinary rescue :P

Some myths about the princess...

1. She can't take damage or you fail! Actually you can beat on her but you just can't kill her. I've done this many times.
2. Keep her far away from the Emporer! She can stand right next to the guy no problem. Just keep her offtanked with a hunter pet or a Voidwalker.

Also, she is immune to charm/fear. The Emporer CAN be difficult if he procs on your non prot warrior, so DPS him down as fast as possible.

For this run, a few tips.

Don't AE the senators/whatnot, they just run off and aggro other people. Clear the entire room before you take on the princess/emporer.

In the room before the emporer, just make sure you have rogue stealth around and find the torchholders first, SET LOOT TO FFA, then make a beeline to the holders as fast as possible, it doesn't matter if you train in 50 dwarves as long as you have good shield/AE. Once you get to the red torchholder dude, AE him and all his weak friends down, they will go down fast, especially with 2 AE / Lock-Mage are perfect here.
Grab the TORCH as fast as you can and make a run for the next torchholder.. same thing.. train everyone in to him, AE them all down and grab the torch. Then Run ass to the nearest brazier and STAND ON TOP of the brazier to fight, which will prevent aggro from around the altar.

Banish the elemental while you AE the adds down. If you don't have banish the tank/healer have to stay on the elemental. Rest up/bandage and kill the elemental. Put out the Brazier. Repeat for the other brazier. As SOON as you get to the 2nd Brazier, put it out first, BEFORE you fight.. once lit it will stop the respawns, which happen about every 45 seconds.

The main trick is to always keep moving towards either a torchholder or brazier as fast as you can. You cannot stop and rest, the respawn rate it too fast. You just gotta fight and run, and don't stop to fight until you are at your objective.

This will make it much easier.

This can easily be done in a stealthrun. A bit intens but possible. 3 Rogues, 1 restoration Druid and 1 feral Druid.
And since the patch they really improved the drops at this place.

And yes confirmed, when the Emperor dies, just dont hit the Princess afterwards and then she will turn Friendly. Stop attacking her even before he dies, just to be safe.

This ring is the awesomest ring ever. It's so easy to get, and with a manapool of 7000 it adds almost as much damage per mana pool as Ring of spell power.

To my knowledge, this can't be obtained in SOD Phase 3. The second half of BRD is not accessible.
