(For a rogue,) one of the best bows in the game for non-raiders. For a PVP career, I seriously recommend running LBRS and picking one up - or running DM east for the Satyr's Bow. Comparing the two, this one has a higher max damage, so it's nicer for taking potshots in PVP, after you get frozen or something.

Anyway, the boss is trioable - 3 rogues could do it, if one of you has imp sap (easier to get now too! yay 2.0) As for the pack prior to it, you could sap two (with imp sap again) and then alternate evasion tanking/feinting, or have all three focus fire one down, dead in 10-15 seconds.

The Carapace Spine Crossbow is way better this this, has agi and stamaina, is slower so u get bigger hits and crits, drops off the spider boss, nek'thular or something, not sure, but i did 11 runs for this and finally got it, the screeching bow dropped 2x off the baroness. Not to mention strat is much easier, along with the ton of set items that drop every time in there.

This xbow is actually very nice. It only does slightly less damage than the Carapice Spine Xbow, but it has a 1% hit chance. In order hit practically 100% of the time... you need 9% hit percentage. For you hunters that do molten core as well and still dont have a striker's mark, this will make your tranq shots always hit. So please don't bash this excellent, free item.

what does the 1 - 4+ shadow mean ?

that means on hit it will do 1 to 4 shadow damage to the target you are attacking.

I'm rolling a protection spec warrior and i see this bow and was wondering is the +1% chance to hit better than the stam you can get from other bows?

This dropped for me a couple of weeks ago.
At first I wasn't intending to use it, but I'm sure glad I did.
At level 56, I did a 1934 crit aimed shot on a 60 Warlock.
3 days ago, at 57 I critted a Mage for 1844 (100%hp to 20%hp in an instant), and have lamely 1 hit killed various cloth wearers a few levels below me, who were sitting down, by sneaking upto to them and aimed shotting.

Until I get something much harder hitting, this will be my main PvP weapon for a long time I guess.
I can imagine doing over 2k crit aimed shots when I hit level 60, with better items.

got this first run, warrior wanted it but since i am a hunter he let me have it, and i got Xbows to 300 on it, still have it as of now

Isn't the shadow damage redundant? Neither Priests nor Warlocks can use crossbows, can they?

I have killed her close to 70 times and have never seen it drop. I've been hit by statistics.
