isnt spirit for out of combat regen? i dont see how this massive amount of spirit can benefit anyone in combat, healing or otherwise.

According to the ancient lore passed down by this plate, apparent the king of shamans is a paladin... :)

On a more serious note, spirit is a good quality for "burst casters" while +healing is what a full time healing paladin likes. With +healing items, using the less mana expensive heals (typically more efficent due to the bonus issue, that is another topic entirely.) will give the paladin the ability to chain casting for a long time before running out of mana.

this has been majorly improved and illed say its one of the best chest plates a pala could get that isnt epic!

i have it on my pala (left it in bank when i got it about 2 months ago) and now its got

627 armor
+12str
+15intel
+15stamin
+18 healing/dmg

im so glad i left it in bank :)

I also have had this thing sitting in my inventory for a couple of weeks now. Today I just looked at it for the first time, since Ive learned not to pay much attention to it, and as i mouse over it i notice that the stats are more plentiful.

so i looked at it and boom, its beefy as hell. before i dont really know why i kept it, but now im wearing it and i own that much more

lucky me :D

I kept this plate because of all the Spirit (29) it provided for long, non FR fights in MC. I just noticed how the stats were upgraded. AWESOME. The Energized Breastplate from DM is much more of a pain to get and I have actually seen this drop like two other times where I passed on it. I think its a great holdover until you get you Tier 2 Dungeon / Lawbringer / Judgement chest.

Love it, clearly Paladin gear... Nice to get me by until Lawbringer... I will probably replace with LF when I can, for set bonus... I will decide later.

Shaman King wearing Plate? Yeah.. odd..

Perhaps one of the reasons he is -Elite- is because he wuth thmart enough to figure out how to wear plate.

Pallies can;t wear plate until level 40... Parhaps the Shaman King couldn't wear plate until he got to "level ?"

Still, I would be irked, too... If there were a Murlock named "The Paladin Lord of the Murlocks" that dropped a leather piece titled, "Leather gloves the Paladin King.

Perhaos one reason for this item at all, is that there are relatively few Pally-specific items that drop in LBRS.

You know how we pallies jump for LBRS runs! (Aw, c'mon, we just need 5 more peeps for UBRS!)

my warrior has been wearing this damn thing for months. at the time it dropped, i had just hit 60 and it was a significant upgrade to whatever green lvl 53 chestpiece i was wearing at the time, but good lord is this thing ever wasted on a warrior. +int? +healing?

the sooner i can get the mats together for an Enchanted Thorium Breastplate, the happier i'll be.

Apparently not many people know that back in Beta, the Shaman class started with mail and upgraded to plate at level 40. This item was put in at the time when that was the case, hence the name.

YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER EVEN F'ING ROLLED ON THIS PLATE.

It is totally meant for a Pally, and the fact that you even "rolled cauze it was an upgrade" is a bunch of BS.

I want this plate for my pally!

Unless youre a 55 warrior and wearing a green lvl 35 chestpiece you should not have rolled on it. LOL @ skosman.

As far as I can tell, this chestpiece is not worth using, but not hard to get. It has dropped the last 6 times my guild has killed Omokk.

For some fun with Ancient Hakkari Manslayer axes: Their inherent lifesteal proc is boosted by spelldmg. This piece has the most spelldmg of any plate chestpiece.
