Pre-BC, this was one of the best, if not, the best pre-raid rogue cloak available. Of course, with Vanilla WoW long and gone, it no longer matters.

Just thought that a great item such as this did not deserve to go comment-less.

i agree with you there mike i remember my friend dragging me in there with the promise that the cloak should it drop was his the baron's mount should it drop was mine took us about 80 runs before we got the cloak and then he never wanted to do the place again so i never got my shot at his mount ( on a side note this was pre bc and by the end we got pretty good at it normally doing it 3 or 4 man with a healer and a rogue from our guild we could clear it in 30-45 minutes and we made some massive amounts of money from sharding and selling the items )

Luckily for me, the one who rolled against me lost.

Any pally who rolls on this is either a greedy $%^&*!@ or a complete retard who injures himself every morning when he gets dressed.

Hunters who roll on this are cool in my book... warriors... yeah, I guess I can see that too... but to the shaman above who beat out more deserving classes... shame on you.

joined a raid at the baroness to help a guildie. This paladin kept trying to roll on devout and dreadmist stuff because it had intellect. im no pally, but im sure lightforge has intellect on it too. this drops off of baron and he rolls because he is retribution specced, and of course he won. not sure why a retribute pally would need that much agi... maybe next time

This is clearly a Hunter/Rogue/DPSwarrior item.

On a personal note: This itme is lvl58 item. For some reason a lvl57 pally outrolled me on this one. That was the last time I did a PuG without Master loot on.

I, just like the poster above me, has looked into all cloaks available to hunters end-game.

This is THE BEST cloak you can get to add raw damage. With 1 AGI = 2 ATT, this cloak supplies 50 RANGED ATTACK POWER. If you look into all the other cloaks available from MC and on, none compare to the attack power this gives. The only cloak that is equal to this is https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=44435, which gives just +50 ATT.

Personally, I will take the 50 ATTACK partially from AGI, so I increase my change to get a critical strike without gimping my attack power.

For PVP, you can find other cloaks (the Cloak of the Firemaw is the best for that case), but this is the best cloak PVE for hunters.

I do agree that nearly all non-cloth classes could use this, but I think Hunters and Rogues should get priority. Seeing as this would only be a PvP cape for pallies or warriors.

If you are a Survival Hunter...

This cape is as the best Max AP Cape. It surpasses Cloak of Shrouded Mist and Firemaw.

Your Survival +15% Agi will boost this cape capabilities.

with the enchant.

So for say you get

17.25 + 3 Agi = 20 Agi x 2ap
20 Agi x 2ap = 40 Attack power + 20 attack power
40 Attack power + 20 attack power = 60 attack power from this cape.

The drop rate sucks. Just hit revered form all the baron runs. Done 10 in the last 3 days and still no Cape is to be seen. I finally got a BSH tho. I have however DEed about 4 prs of Beaststalker pants. Percents on this site must be messed up.

Cape has a lower drop rate then stated above but is well worth the wait. I have done 20+ barron runs and this thing finaly droped and it was well worth the wait for a rogue. Much better then any other pre MC cape for a rogue, Shadow Prowler's Cloak is only a nice place holder. I advise going trying to farm this item with friends and not to bring along a hunter if your a rogue (oposite thing if your a hunter). I was lucky and had a warrior friend of mine pass on it for me. Good luck to everyone still hunting for it, oh and did i mention this cape is slightly longer then your average cloak?

I just found this cape on www.wowhead.com/tbc, I have done 18 barron runs and hae not seen this. I am a hunter, those runs were for Bone Slicing Hatchets, but I am surprised that I havent seen this. Personally, i think this is a rouge/hunter piece (I am a Hunter). Warriors, I have nothing against you, your my favorit meat shields and everything, but I think that this should go to a hunter/rouge first. After them, is all yours. Paladins, I don't know enough about you to say too much but proably same deal as the warriors. Be nice to your huners. Good hunting!

first off its a rogue/hunter item. it gives +AGI. and as anyone who has played this game longer than 2 days knows that for hunters and rogues AGI is our prime stat. next up you have feral druids and fury warriors. they get a limited use out of the cape but can probably find better out there. everyone else should back down to the avove mentioned. if none of the above want it then proceed with the greed

I just picked this up today on my second Barron run. I love the way it looks and I'm so happy that someone finally dropped something decent for me. As a rogue, it's hard to find a boss who drops useful loot, and even harder to get them to drop it.

since the patch they nerfed agi..this cloak is still good...however u can get a better cloak (Cloak of the Honor Guard)from the League of Arathor vendor AB faction in arathi highlands which has +34atk pwr i think plus 11stam and 5 agi(+3 agi enchants)...so as a hunter who values his range attk power, the honor guard cloak beats the baron cape by 4 RAP but there difference is the armor and additional 100HP it gives due to stam...and its easily attainable on 6k honor and 20 AB tokens from the new patch...prolly a day or two of doing bg win or lose..lol...so u don't have to worry about getting out rolled..=)

Got mine last night. Dropped along with Wildheart Kilt. A very nice looking cape with great stats to go along with it.

Starting to bug me now... Beaststalker Helm drops in Scholo, all hunters got it: disenchant. The same drops again, disenchant. Now we gotta disenchant the Wildheart Kilt. Ah well... anything is better than seeing the Shaman set drop. >.>

Why not? we need agi too. We have tons of crit activated talents, get lots of rage with crits, we need agi for dodge and armor (or you wanna tank), and attack power for pure DPS.

Plus it doesnt says ranged attack power so not taht useful for hunters (though they can still roll imho)

anyone who disagrees that this isn't good for a warrior is retarded. i have a level 60 rogue and a 60 hunter, aside from my 60 war. all 3 of my characters have this cloak, and all 3 are built for the highest crit chance, outside of MC / Marshal PvP gear.

i'd like to say that not ALL warriors play to tank, nor do people think they should, my war is built for damage, packing a 32.85% chance to crit and high attack power unbuffed.

let's break this down. 20 agi = 1 crit for war, 29 agi = 1 crit for rogue. 53 agi = 1 crit for hunter.

needless to say, there is more importance in uping critical chance over the minute amount a rogue gets for attack power from the *agi* of this cloak, not the attack power stat on the cloak itself. being built for pure damage, even in non-mc raids i keep my crit/attack power gear on and out damage MC geared rogues by a large margin. inside MC my guild is perfectly fine with me going as an off tank and not being loaded up on +def equipment, and i do just fine. but anywho.

albeit. my warrior benefits more than my rogue or hunter, by a large margin. and pve is not the only form of events for putting this cloak to work.

After countless strat runs I get a DC just before we kill the baron, I come back on and see the cape dropped, so I roll on it, and I roll a freaking 1, a 1!
I am so pissed off right now

Hunter btw, and warriors can roll on this to but hunters and rogue's should get priority imho.

Its a warrior item as well guys. Already been stated that crits=more rage=more damage. but the fact is that i would not use this in an instance if i was MT. The stam pluses are really needed then. If i was offtank however i would use this. However, it is more of a rogue hunter cape no matter what. Does that mean warriors can not roll on it? No they should be allowed to roll on it.

Yes, warriors should be allowed to roll on it, it's very good PvP gear, and you also want to get this if you're damage dealing in a raid for instance.
I know it's hard for hunters since most of the agi/crit/AP gear is also wanted by warriors, rogues and pallys, but that's the way it works. Especially for the warrior, crit/agi gear is a must have because crits not only generate extra rage but are needed for deep wounds and flurry as well.

lol... Its really dumb... Yes there are a lot of better cloaks for warriors. Shifting Cloak an example. Becouse it has 3 more agi bonus.

If you are a dps warrior - and its a really potent dps class - your most important stat is your crit chance, then your attack power.

This cloak gives both of the stats. Any question?

If a warrior says he needs it, who's to say otherwise? Let the warrior roll on it as well, we all play this game a little differently, if a chance at critting is more important then armor, that's the warrior's decision.

Saw a gnome war with a mail +crit piece. Biggest chance to crit i've seen with full war equip yet. Can't imagine he'd keep his health up well, but betcha he can keep hate.

The baron decided to drop this and the beast leggings for my hunt on her first trip through Strat UD yesterday. Also dropped the Crescent Moon chest, but there were no druids on board so it became a shard. I was thrilled at my luck. Rolled an 80-something for the cloak over a warrior who got a 20-something.

There are many better capes out there for warriors, esp since a Warrior's main role in raids in tanking. If a rogue or hunter needs this they should get it, it comes down to pure usefulness. A Warrior gets very little benifit from it while hunters/rogue get a huge benifit.

Course the same warriors that role for this probably also role over a hunter for a bone bow or something, because they need that nice bow for their 1 shot they fire for pulling.

I entered Strat UD for the first time at the weekend. An Epic dropped and I never won it, I lost the majority of all pther roles. But when this dropped the rest of the guys in the party let me have it. A warrior was going to role for it, but he changed his mind at the last minute since I won nada the whole run.

A nice little cape, I cant wait to get back in there either!

but warriors need armor and they need defense and they need stamina..

goddamn.. you know, warriors do other things than tanking, for example.. uhm.. DEAL DAMAGE!
Shadow priests take +shadow damage equipment if they wanna pvp.
Warriors take tank equip for pvp? i don't think so. warrior's could use them just as good as rogues or hunters

my second baron run on my lil rogue (they grow up so fast *sniff*)and it droped...truly amazingly - i was the only rogue and there were no hunters - 1 war kinda wanted it but i'd passed on a VERY good mace ealier becuase it had good sta/spi ie tanking stats so he passed for me on the cloak :D makes up for loosing the roll on painweaver / finkels skinner ealier in UBRS 10 fold

Edit: blood hell. i've done 4 baron runs now - THREE of these bloody cloaks and one Hand of Edward the Odd.

It seems to drop off the Baron every 2nd run for me, so I wouldn't worry too much about it... the drop rate listed here seems low. My 60 Dwarf Hunter has had this for a while now.

Excellent for Hunters and Rogues, but also Warriors. I wouldn't object to a warrior rolling on it if he has a need for it!

Now I kinda see this as more a Hunter/Rogue cape(me being a hunter and all XD), but I can see a warrior rolling on it too, yes yes it does help them as well. So anyway, 10 man raid, kill baron, cape drops, 2 rogues already have it, 1 hunter(me) doesnt have it so everyone is cool with me taking it. Everyone passes(or so I think) and I roll. Then from left field the Pally rolls and out rolls me ><. His defence argument "What? Pallys can use Agi too." T.T Me = Capeless.

I'm a combat rogue and am wondering if this is better than shifting cloak. Agility isn't necessarily my primary objective, but of course I like it. Any advice would be appreciated.

I ran Strat many times specifically to obtain this cloak - I was very upset when my Hunter Guildy also decided to roll despite making it painfully clear that after 14 runs I had no intention of rolling on anything else but this Cloak... Low and behold, it dropped, he rolled, he won, I had a hernia...

But that's the way the game goes...

Remember one thing, every single class in the game benefits slightly from any form of Agility increase, and the Extra Attack power is not to be sniffed at... However, the primary statistic of both the cloak (One which is paramount to rogues above all others) is the Agility... This is a Rogues cloak that, unfortunately when it comes to rolling, can also benefit other classes... Should other classes be denied the chance to roll? I don't think so... But certainly not above rogues...

Sure, Hunters and Warriors gain some Agility benefits... But Rogues gain EVERYTHING from Agility outside of Stamina. Chance to dodge, chance to crit, armor and damage increase is most seen by Rogues in the form of Agility, which utterly pisses on all Warrior and Hunter benefits from Agility alone. Up until I finally got the cape, I was lucky enough to come across the rare Gargoyle in Strat that drops the Stoneskin Cape (I think that's what it was called) which is a very sweet alternative (looks damn nice, too, being in your face and stand-out white).

At the end of the day, Rogues need Agility above everything (Stamina being a very close second) and this cloak supplies it... All classes benefit from it's statistics and should be able to roll on it, but it'll always be mostly and primarily Rogue based.
