This might be good for those bosses done mostly by big guilds, where everyone can kinda chip in a lil to keep the main tank(s) in place.. Nice, I really like that potion, I hope Alchy's don't try to over price this Potion. Its not worth over ten gold each.. ya hear that people! Not over ten gold each.. or even less for that matter!

Load up your priest. Face it, a priest is going to be the target of every warrior and rogue around. Chug one of these potions, and all of a sudden they're hitting on plate armor. With shadowform active, you'll be one tough cookie indeed.

Potions can be dispelled, so try to hide yourself from enemy shaman or enemy priests before you drink. They can see you drinking.

I'm trying to sell this on Emerald Dream as low as 1 gold and the jugs simply DON'T SELL. However people buy my rot eels for 1 gold each and I wonder what potions they're brewing themselves. Or, is it just unimagenable kind alchemists like me are willing to sell such nice brews ?

I find that most people just don't want to buy high level potions at all. I busted a gut getting 275 alchemy by the time I was lvl35 to help finance my mount only to find that it was a waste of time as I could make more money from selling the ingredients.
A classic example is ghost dye: ingredients required are 2x ghost mushrooms (1-1.5g each), purple dye (50s from vendor), crystal vial (2s? from vendor). So total is 2g 50s -3g 50s and yet I can't sell this item for more than 2g 75s which means I only just turn in a profit assuming I can get the mushrooms for 1g.

These are simply awesome for aoeing all the raptors in ZG. I normaly died in around 1 sec (healers cant heal that fast).. But with these so could i surive GG!

Well today I got 300 Alchemy and im on the Realm: Gorefiend (PVP)

I sold 10 of these potions at 10g ea and they were gone within 24hrs of the auction. I was pretty amazed but its worth it =)

This potion requires lvl 46, at lvl 48 my warlock has about 16% damage reduction. With VW out and soul linke i get an additional 40%. thats 56% damage reduction at lvl 48, with one of these i cuold probably get over 65% damage reduction, which is INSANE for a dps class at lvl 48...

does a druid get the 360% armor contribution from this and does it persist through death?

if elixir of greater defense stacks with this,
in extreme cases like patchwerk +2250 armor would be nice :)

So, here's a summarizaed list of some viable uses for this potion:

Mage AoE (Bat boss and Spider room in ZG, supression room in BWL, etc.)

Raid bosses that enrage at low health (Venoxis, Kurinaxx, etc.)

Warrior call during Nefarian (for those who don't know, this causes all warriors to be stuck in berserker stance and take 20% extra damage)

Patchwerk, for the whole fight (for those who don't know, Patchwerk hits extremely hard and doesn't do much else, so tanks need as much armor as possible) - this will take 3-4 potions (Patchwerk is a 7 minute timed fight)

A lot of places on teh intarwebs say that these require 3xstonescale oils; however thott says 2x stonescale oils.

Is thott correct? or teh intarwebs?

The recipe says 2 stonescale oil, 1 thorium ore, 1 chrystal vial.
