These are probably one of the best money making things for tailors for their level 40 mounts, or even at level 60 to get some extra cash flow. They're easy enough to make, and they sell for a decent price usually, so you can rake in a fairly desireable profit.

On my server those bags go for around 5g at ah and the mats for them has the same price so it's very nice if you want to level your tailring for freem

I waited for 2 days kept checking back to see if it had become available. Finally it appeared. Everytime I check I waited for about an Hour (timed it with Trueshot Aura).

They accept donations after you have a "Craftsman Writ", these are one of the donations. In exchange for the donations you get Insignias (Dawn & Crusade), these you can exchange for goodies. You need 8 bags to fill the order.

Honestly, I'm leveling tailoring on an alt, and I'm wondering if these sell at all now that Netherweave bags are around, for probably not much much more than the above-quoted prices.

Anyone know one way or the other?

when i went 2 ge the pattten it was not there i will but i will back a hour later it was not there

It looks like one of a number of patterns may appear at random intervals, and may disappear as well. The pattern for enchant chest 100 health was there when I arrived. It disappeared (I don't think anyone bought it) about 20 minutes later. I waited about 40 minutes for runecloth bag, and up came frostsaber boots (LW). I suppose I'm looking at another 40 minutes at least. /sigh

Just finished another 45 minute session - at one point, both the chest enchant and frostsaber boots recipes were up, but no runecloth bag. Why does Blizzard make you go thru this? An hour and a half doing nothing, and still no recipe. Irritating.

trying this theory also...

checking the vendor once a minute every minute (as clocked by the realm clock)

been at it half an hour so far... the Enchant chest - Health pattern was there for an entire half hour.

So I bought it and will continue checking...

update 1:

at 17 minutes, chest - health enchant respawned

update 2:

55 minutes in, (25 minutes from the purchase) still no refresh

There is a limited JC pattern on the first page, and the Enchant chest - health on last page... bought both of them

update 3:

JC pattern refreshed in 2 minutes

update 4:

at 20 minutes from last purchase the frost sabre boots pattern appeared. Bought the JC and Boots patterns

update 5:

8 minutes since last purchase, JC pattern spawned again

update 6:

After over 2 (long and boring) hours, and over 5G spent...

17 minutes after last purchase... the bag pattern finally spawned...

it appears that the JC pattern is on a different timer (makes sense because JC is a BC thing)

and the other 3 patterns are on a rotation...

It looks like every 15-20 minutes the system performs a check to see if there is a slot open. If there is a slot open then the system randomly selects a pattern.

Not sure if patterns could every stack up, but it would probably take a while...

my advice is to grab a Snickers bar, and keep buying the patterns on page of the vendor menu.

Yea, tried the "buyout to make other patterns appear" thing and it didnt work. :(

Bought the enchant and JC pattern, 1 hour later.. nothing. /sigh Still waiting around.

Just logged back in to see the JC pattern and the LW one..

Another hour has passed, quit buying JC pattern, have 2 LW ones and 2 100 health enchants. No bag pattern as of yet. :(

I tried the old one two, ie, going at war with everlook and killing Qia.. no good..

Then it was just standing there buying the recipes as they spawned, it seems every five minutes at least one spawns.

Just have a lot of money and keep buying until runecloth bag recipe appears.

My adventure in pattern sitting:

7:25pm MST - Enchant Chest Major Health
7:35pm MST - Pattern: Frostsaber Boots
7:39pm MST - Pattern: Runecloth Bag

Just goes to show with a little luck you wont have to wait all that long at all.

Took me about 10 minutes :D 1st I had to buy the JC Pattern and then the Frostsaber Boots. Then the next spawn was the Runecloth Bag :)

Already waiting for over one hour and still no bag. Bought three JC patterns and 1 enchant.... :S give at 30 more mins.

Important note: you DON'T need to buy anything from Qia for this to appear. I simply opened and closed the merchant window (roughly 20 times) and watched all of the patterns spawn one by one on the 4th page; as in all of them together. In less than 10 mins the pattern should up.

Save your money.

I sell them for 3 Gold 75 silver on Vek'.... I buy the Runecloth off the AH for 2 gold a stack, the Rugged Leather for 2 Gold a stack (Sometimes I get it off people selling it for 1.3 Gold a stack and sometimes highspeed people sell the Runecloth for 1.8-1.7 gold a stack), and then I buy the Rune thread off the vendor, this usually gives me quite a bit of income when I do it in large orders. Everyone needs bags, and selling them cheap is a good way to get people to buy them in large quantities, so I suggest this to any tailors out there, just don't do it on my server, I don't want competition. ^_^

Runecloth: ~1.50-1.60g/stack (2g for 25)
Runethread: 40silver
Rugged Leather: 10-20s a bag (for free for me cause im a skinner)

Cost per bag: 2.6g

Sold for 3.8 - 2.6 - .19 (ah cut) = 1.01 gold. I've sold over 500 bags on my server.

Are there any limitations as to who can carry a Runecloth Bag? My Lvl 29 NE Hunter does not appear to be able to equip it.

Rune cloth is real cheap on my server. I buy a stack for 1.25 gold, rugged leather 3silver each (all from ah).

I make a killing selling these and my side is a low population too.

Easy gold.

Check the price of Journeyman's Backpack as well. Same size bag and usually cheaper in my experience!

I waited outside the merchant for 3 days and finally bought the pattern! Just be patient and wait.
A lot of people who are not associated with tailoring buy recipes in order to sell them later for a lot of money.
