Nice offhand for MC with the 10 FR.

Sadly, this dagger has no place. These 2 slots you don't want to change for resists (on a rogue) are the weapons. Not only is this item usually over priced, but it never lives up to expectations. 10 FR is not worth the stat loss of (lets say) Corehound Tooth. It's too fast to make a good mainhand, and the proc/stat composition makes it a weak offhand.

Save your money.

I think this weapon will be really good come 2.0 because of the new talent Combat Potency. You need a really fast dagger (preferabily 1.3) in order to gain enough energy.

So get this dagger with 5 points in Combat Potency.

The best use for Alcor's would be an offhand for a SS or Hemo rogue. The 1.3 speed, being the fastest in game, gives this dagger a much higher chance to apply poisons via the offhand. A poisons build rogue with the Alcor's for an offhand would be very deadly with the amount of poison procs hitting the target.

Although this is one of the fastest daggers in the game, I have to disagree that it's viable for a rogue. Generally, there are just too many offhand daggers out there with MUCH better stats and are still pretty fast. If you're in any kind of raiding guild, I definately would not bother buying this. I agree with the poster that said the 10 FR just isn't worth it. Even if your build relied heavily on poisons, I don't think the small speed difference would have a large enough effect on your poison procs to make this weapon worth it.
If you weren't in a raiding guild, I'd probably go with something like bonescraper: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=13368 It may have less dps, but it has good stats, is pretty fast, and doesn't cost money.

This item is useful as probably an offhand in Molten Core for the +10 Fire Resistance.

If you find one that drops, good for you.

However, anyone who wants to buy it, if it is placed for more than 200g, I would not buy it. I have seen it for 1200g, it is just simply not worth it.

Dropped last night off a skeleton in Scholo, right outside the room with Barov.

I was the only rogue in the group and it's the best drop I've ever personally got.

This is the ulitimate off-hand for a rogue outside of MC, possibly better than MC gear depending on how important poison procs are to you (only bested by core hound tooth). Uber speed and dps, good if infrequent proc. Great for a dagger combat spec with dual wield spec.

Someone rolling against a rogue on this is equivalent to a rogue rolling on the Hand of Edward. That is, it's a blacklistable offense.

I got it in UBRS here the other day and i love it.. Though i need a new main hand..

usually things get rough in a picupgroup when a epic as rare as that droppes but everyone was cool and Both Rogues rolled and i Won:D

This dropped off one of the zombies that Gandling spawned. We had ML on and I was the master looter. Gandling died, the loot was distributed and everyone hearthstones. I stuck around in case anyone wanted to yell at me for not winning their rolls, and then I see the glimmer of loot in one of the nearby rooms. I check the corpse of course, and see this.

The catch? Everyone had been so stressed all along (getting late) that everyone had already hearthstoned, and the raid was disbanded. With no one to give it to, including myself since I apparently wasn't in the raid anymore (I didn't get to send it to myself), I had to leave it there. Very rare BoE epic from a trash mob, and no one can loot it. It just gets left behind.

My friend was playing in AV and for some reasaon when he looted a Dwarf guard, this came up and since they weren't really raiding he just keeped it! I was so mad i went to check how rare this drops in AV. I got on thotbot and it says it doesn't even drop in AV! He's still deciding to sell or keep it though!

I just bought this baby for 200g. Immediately put mongoose enchant on it. This will go nicely with my lvl 60 epic set that I'm working on right now :D

This is something that goes back to The Volcanic Armor Set Bonus...

Why in the world would you have a Fire Damage CHT on Fire Resistance gear? If you are gearing for Fire Resistance, more than likely what ever you are attacking will be resistant to the fire attack.

A Better CHT on this would be something like Life stealing or that you gain immunity to the next fire attack...something worthwhile on FR gear!

Got this in UBRD with a 5 man group while farming the 1st boss for the +20FR back. I cant describe how lucky i was when this candy dropped and i was the only rogue! ^^ Really nice for off-hand since the damage range sux, but sweet anyway...

I looted this fine dagger at Tyr's Hand.. Downstairs lvl 61 elites, Scarlet Inquisitors. I got really surprised along with the other rogue I grouped with, he greeded it, I needed, I wear Barman Shanker mainhand and offhand this.

It doesnt proc too much but each fight I see it proc. It is quite good. I WILL enchant it with crusader. It remains up till MC-raiding, it has its benefits.

Barman Shanker also procs alot, but it breaks the gouge-effect which is quite a shame. I havent seen this to proc off gouges yet, but maybe Ill see what happens. GL getting it, it is worth it. I think. :)

its a good all class weapon i think but i can say its good for tanks because:
In most major boss encounters you will have near unlimited rage at your fingertips e.t.c

This dropped off one of the mobs on the Scarlet side a couple of days ago - we were 5-manning it at the time, with 2 mages, a druid, a warr, and myself (pally). We ended up letting the warr grab it - he proceeded to head for Sorrow Hill afterwards to finish leveling up his dagger skill. :-)

Found in strat Baron side from one of those non elite crimson guards (in the place after u kill the bansee mini boss very nice. This with assassinsins blade goes nicely

heartseeker, scarlet kris, bonescraper are all arguably better offhands for a rogue. sunrazor gets an extra 2-3 white dps (since it's in your offhand) and a proc that goes off less often in your offhand, and you give up yellow AND white dps due to lost stats.

1.3 speed is a little better for poisons, but not 1400g better. and by the time fire resistance is vital you should be looking at a CHT or something instead. (and of course when it IS vital the mobs are immune to the proc, making that totally useless.)

sigh, just a rant because one of these showed up on my server and some idiot with more dollars than sense is bidding a sick amount -_-

I found one in the Plaugelands a few days before 1.9 went live... stuck with the BoP version of what could have been a king's ransom, I now have weapon I use only for tanking the few encounters where i need max FR....

we found this the other day in a guild 5 man scholo off the kitiblabla guy gargoyle bat dude in the side room where u summon him with blood of innocents. most of us were mc geared and the rogue had 300 fr alredy so the shaman got it :T. too bad it was bop... we woulda sold it and split the gold haha

It seems to be a random world drop from 60+ elites, had one drop for me in upper brs today.. its a good weapon, fire resist is great, proc doesnt go off all that often (or often at all even =/) .. its no deathstriker tho, duel deathstrikers is still prolly the ultimate rogue combo for weapons found currently.. agro might get a bit out of hand tho... and by might i mean will.. and by a bit i mean really out of hand.

Hmm is it just me or is that dropp thingy wrong.. I can't see UBRS and i got it from a random mob in that place. Love the dagger. Just wondering if anyone else has gotten it on the Perneolde server.

I was in a pickup group, or i made it so i knew the ppl but anyways. Everyone agreed that both the rogues in team should be able to roll and we did and i won!

Smack a fiery weapon enchant on this, equip Darkmoon Card: Maelstrom and Eskhandar's Right Claw (also with fiery weapon) and combine with Blade Flurry, Slice 'n Dice and Instant Poison and some Dragonbreath Chili White dmg ftw! If you wanna maximize your damage, smack on some +fire damage gear :D

That is correct. It dropped off a "Blackrock Incarcerator" or something, the only non elite orcs in the entire ubrs section. Not only did I roll a 100, it was my first ubrs run, and 2 epics dropped that run(Dwarven Hand Cannon was the other epic).

Wow! this is like the best off hand dagger atm, dunno what AQ holds in there yet :)

Anyways, dont flame other people who want it (especially hunters) cuz this is an awsome weapon for anyone who can wield it. Although that being reasonable and stopping to think a little about it, the rogue will benefit most from it's sheer speed, paired with posions on it.

This follows my needs for my dream offhand as a warrior. That's right; my warrior will have a dagger as his offhand. Why? Because Thunderfury is just as possible to get as this weapon is; the price of materials is equal to the Sunrazor's value. Now, of course you need raid drops; but all is not hopeless.

Can you see the shear (lol, "SunRAZOR"; get it?) power of the procs that Thunderfury will make paired with this?

I can, and I see more power than those 2-hand warriors will ever get.

Got this about 4 weeks ago, when it was still bop. I find i love the damage it gives me, procs all the time, and with my Darkmoon Card: Heroism Darkmoon Card: Maelstrom get some insane dps. I'm Using a Heartseeker in mh.

This thing has proven to be an incredible offhand weapon for me. SnD+BF=0.83 attack speed. Fun stuff. I've seen this thing use more poison charges than my mainhand. Plus it's got FR, so there's nothing wrong with that. Wish there were more daggers with that kinda speed. (Wish fist weapons had that kind of speed too though.)

Im tired of people accusing others of ninjaing everything just because u didnt win. If its better than what u have and you can use its not ninjaing it. I am so sick of ppl saying oh thats a warrior shiled and telling shamans not to roll or in this case saying a warlock shouldnt have the right to roll on a sword.

Well, It'd be a great offhander. You'd stick alot of poison with it.

Sortof falls short as a backstabber, easily acquired daggers like Heartseeker / Keris would be far superior mainhand. Pairing this offhand would be a pretty killer combo though.
