this is a very nice money maker if you are lucky enough to get it. people always seem to be asking for +30 Spell Power. seeing that the Blizz Devs said that 10-15 lvl 70s will be able to clear MC, more might get it after a few months of TBC being out.

The mats for this spell are no easy task to gather:

4 large brilliant shards
12 Greater Eternal Essences
4 Essences of Fire
4 Essences of Water
4 Essences of Air
2 Golden Pearls

My recommendation (if you choose to farm these items) is to get 8 essences of air and 4 essences of earth from the elementals in Silithus (Northwest corner). Once you have these, have an alchemist transmute 4 airs to fire and the 4 earths to water. I personally farm golden pearls from the naga in STV since they're easy to mass kill and the drop-rate for the pearls are extremely rare anywhere you go. You're on your own with the enchanting mats. 12 greater eternals is gonna put a hurting on your wallet.

Although aquiring these mats may seem expensive or take a while to get, make sure to tip your enchanter well. :) The plans for this enchant only drop in Molten Core and are a pretty rare drop.

Yes elemental essence drop rate is been serverely increased (going for about 1g each), but what about Greater Eternal Essences? These are still going for 15 gold each on my realm, WTF!

Something needs to be seriously done about this.

It adds 30 spell damage to all spells under a 3 second cast-time. And for all the twink warlocks that need to know, yes it does add damage to dots, it has a special formula but it adds up to 30 damage while your dots going and finishing. Hope this helps =)

If you're an enchanter and need a mid-way untill you save up for +40 spell damage (It's rather pricy)
This is quite a viable alternative.

The reagents aren't that bad - pretty trivial for someone who's having the kind of repeatable success in Molten Core necessary to get this pattern, in fact. By the time you get it you'll have enough essence of fire to do the enchant 100 times over :)

I see most similar items say "Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by XXX". So does this enchant include both damage and healing or does it only increase damage?

Clearly, no. This enchant doesn't add to healing spells, it only adds damage to damagespells, not healing to healing spells. Just read the description.

The enchant will now affect healing spells as well. Instead of being +30 damage done by spells, it is now +30 damage and healing done by spells.

So if you are a hybrid class or a priest and want the +30 to PvP without worrying that you could better benefit your raid with a +55 healing enchant, you are in luck because you will now get +30 healing ontop of the +30 damage.

Seeing as the formula is a rare drop from MC, I can tell almost no one can do this enchantment. But if you happen to be on the Gnomeregan realm, please whisper Tacculan, I have mats and will tip 20 gold.

I highly doubt anyone has this on the Maelstrom server, but if you do, I will get the mats, and pay a 100 gold tip for this enchant.

Or post again here if you need another way to reach me. I seriously want this enchant, and since there's no way to run Molten Core anymore because of BC, there's no way I can obtain it.

Why would you want this enchant when you can have the easier +40 Major Spell Power, unless of course your item level to be enchanted is less than 35. Most enchanters level 70 will have this one https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/spell=27975/enchant-weapon-major-spellpower

Does anyone know if this would effect paladin seals?
For example, would this add up to 30 points of holy dmg if i was using Seal of Righteousness?

This is very nice. I can just imagine it for a mage who uses a Scorch build.

In replace of about 135mp due to the +9 intellect enchant, you could deal an extra 400dmg every right.

Anyways, what's the glow on this?

For a 2H don't think i'd replace +9 int but it would be nice on a 1H.

We had it drop of Shaz btw so I assume all bosses in MC have a chance to drop it.

Well, it does add damage to arcane shot, serpent sting, multishot, volley and scatter shot. The PVP set also has bonuses to give arcane shot a lower mana cost. All together, it starts making sense to spam arcane shot and other abilities a lot. The other thing, is mana is very rarely a problem with good equipment and combat mana pots, so +9 int isn't a big deal.

Sigh.. The question isn't 9 int or 30 spell dmg it's 22 int, 20 spir, 55 healing or 30 spell dmg.

Well I have the mageblade, it has its own overiding glow so who cares, I just want the +30 to add to the +40.

So I just got this enchant done, it's not 22 dmg to spells, it's 30

I also wanna say that after a lot of testing out, this is a great choice of enchant for a hunter. It's the only weapon enchant i know of that will actually add damage to your ranged attacks.

Ok, kids, something to remember is it adds UP TO 30 spell damage. That's based on cast time and base damage. A spell like scorch, with 1.5 sec cast time, gets about 40% of stated bonus-so scorch gets +12 damage.

Here is a question for people that already use this enchant.
Does anyone know if this is a +damage and healing enchant or just damage?
I am asking because I have used the Brilliant Wizard Oil before ( Brilliant Wizard Oil ) and through some testing it seemed to increase my healing spells as well as dmg. (I am a paladin btw).
If this is the case then using the spell power enchant with my PvP gear would be an interesting choice.

Been looking for this for the past couple of days on the Proudmoore realm for my lock who does 19 WSG. It seems no one on the realm even does the enchant anymore and I've been told "No one runs MC anymore".

So if you are looking to get this enchant, be prepared to either wait for a long time for someone who actually does have it to see you requesting it, or to never get it.

I would do this over +9 intellect i think... Im hoping to get a staff of dominance with this enchant +62 damage to spells = wow

Couple that with my talisman of ephemeral power = +237 to spells

So with a frostbolt that would be approximately 700 damage with 1400-1500 crits

More than likely you'll be sticking this on a Sorcerous Dagger or Fang of the Mystics which already have glows. Someone needs to find this on my servar! Rar!

Curious about how this works for hunters - I know it affects Arcane Shot slightly, but does it work for any other attacks/shots? I could see using it on a 1H with something else on offhand, but +9 int still seems better on a 2H (for hunters.)

Anyone on Kilrogg have this yet?

BTW - I hear it has a purple glow next patch. Don't get your panties in a knot over the lack of glow. :p

Word on the street is that this is a great enchant for hunters, as wing clip, arcane shot and raptor strike all count as spells.

you people arent thinking right here. There wil be a glow, blizz just hasnt put one on it yet cuz its too new. Its like how the new pvp stuffs had placeholder graphics, this has a place holder gloe, which is to say none

As of WoW Classic v.1.13.2, this formula drops off of all of the bosses in Molten Core except for Ragnaros. The drop rate for Vanilla was ~1% per boss, so that's likely the drop chance.

Notably this is a Bind on Pickup recipe, so be sure to give it to one of the enchanters in the raid!
