The Arcanum of Rapidity is a quest reward.

In order to get one, a prerequisite is Elven Legends (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=7481 for the Horde and https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=7482 for Alliance) which involves going to the Library and inspecting a skeleton near Lorekeeper Lydros.

In order to get the Arcanum you will need
1x Libram of Rapidity (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=18332)
1x Blood of Heroes which spawns in WPL and EPL (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/object=176213)
2x Large Brilliant Shard
1x Pristine Black Diamond (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=18335)

If you need this for a +10 NR enchant, you have to go to the northeast corner of ZG where you will find Zanza the Restless. I can't say what it's like to solo him as I've never done it but he will give you a Savage Guard when you give the Arcanum, to do whatever you want with it ;>

Does haste rating n this affect only melee or does it also affect spell haste as well?

Are the Lesser Arcanum and Arcanums in general, a one time use now in TBC or unlimited use?

This Arcanum one of must have enchants for twinked characters.
Thank Blizz this enchant could be obtained through trade window ("will not be traded" slot).

For a level 19 character 10 haste rating mean 4,73% haste value increase = 4,73% DPS.
considering we can have two of those enchants it mean overall +9,46% haste = 9,46% DPS.

At 29 level it will produce 2,48% haste value increase, etc.

Other twink levels:

39 -- 1,68% haste.
49 -- 1,27% haste.
59 -- 1,02% haste.
60 -- 1% haste.
69 -- 0,67% haste.
70 -- 0,63% haste.

you can calculate your haste raiting at this website:

(etc you are lvl 29 and get 10 haste raiting = 1.65% haste)
you can do it with all "raitings"

How do 4.73% atk speed equal to 4.73% dps? all classes use abilities that dont benefit from haste rating.

Now, how about someone telling us how useful this "enchant" is? I'm a rogue, and I'm wondering if I should get this or the eight agi... probably gonna go with the eight agi.

All "haste" enchants are bugged ATM, they only increase the melee speed.

I spent a LOT of gold to find that out :(

I got the libram of rapidity and i cant get the Q from the Lokekeeper why?

Okay ive done some research for this quest and i ran into a problem where i couldnt turn in the libram along with the rest of the mats for the arcanum of rapidity, sooo. In order to turn in any of the libram quests you have to finish a quest line called "ELVEN LEGENDS". It starts in feathermoon, talk to a chick who is wondering the paths and she will give you a quest that allows you to interact with the bones next to lorekeeper lydros after you finish this quest line you than will be able to talk to lorekeeper lydros and get the libram quests for your enchant whether it be a DM enchant or ZG enchant

Now that ZG no longer requires these books for main enchants, they are soo cheap on the ah. I expect them to go up again since they can be used to make a NR enchant for AQ40 raids.

use all + haste items/enchants on ice barbed spear and u will on like no other muther

This enchant does not affect casting time, so if you're a caster your better off getting a different enchant.

For a 19 Twink rogue it adds over 7% speed improvement. Quite nice.

You need to do the quest and such as a 60 or whatever, then enchant it on a BOE item (ie goggles) and give it to them. I didn't test it in the trade window, but enchanting my twink's goggles which were new (boe) worked. Sent it via mail.

I didn't test to see what it does (if anything) for the rogue's shoot ability, but hopefully it could reduce the cast or cooldown times. I haven't tested it though.

I do notice an improvement in my assassin's blade hits.

For a level 70, 10 Haste rating is 0.95% speed improvement for ranged and melee.

Putting the 10 haste enchant on my hunter's gloves, replacing 26ap, increased my paperdoll dps by .1dps and decreased bow time from 2.03 to 2.01 I will get roughly 101 autoshots where I was getting 100. (approximate) If you assume your steadyshots and autoshots fire at the same rate, that's 2 more shots, since haste improves steadyshot cast time.

I'm using the Valanos 2.8 speed bow currently, but am looking for this haste mostly for the 2.9 Sunfury and 3.0 Season 2 Arena Xbow, since there will be even more room in a steady/auto cycle with these.

There are some very nice head and leg enchants (CE rep head, Nethercleft/Clefthide leg) that make using this Arcanum questionable.

As a 41/20/0 BM raiding hunter, If they all can free up needing Improved Aspect of the Hawk and the Rapid fire cooldown talent points, it may be worth it though.

anyone know what the haste rating would be for a lvl 29 rogue? I like the idea of haste, but would +8 agility give me a better dps fer my "enchant slot" ?

also I'm pretty sure this can only be applied for someone else if the the item is NOT soulbound{not equipped yet}, not positive but that's what I hear, and I'm not about to test it out.

You can carry multiple of those in your inventory compared to libram book which you can carry only one.
