The quest for this weapon begins from an elf on a bridge right above the giant tree. Enter DM from the north-west side. In order to complete this quest you must kill the giant beast and than defeat the prince.

This is a quest reward for the madness within quest which can be obtained upstairs in the west side of Dire Maul from a Night Elf ghost which is standing in the middle of a bridge (above where you fight the first boss, the large treant). Requires killing the demon locked inside the large circular room (which requires clearing all 5 pylons surrounded by elementals to cause the forcefield around the demon to dissappear) and then killing the prince in the library (who becomes enraged after you defeat the demon).

Quest reward is choice between a pair of leather boots (good for druids) a nice mail helm (good for shamans and maybe hunters) and this mace. All items are blue and very nice for particular classes.

Oh, And I finished the quest last night. You can do the quest, and turn it in all in 1 run.

Get the quest from the NPC (Sorry I dont remmember the NPC name)
Take down all 5 crystal thingy's.
Kill the dog.
Kill the price.
Run back to NPC to turn in.
Then run back to where you killed the prince, under the steps is a big crate like case.
Open it and choose your reward.

Pretty damn nice weapon, especially if you lack the Gold to buy an endgame epic or Blue weapon on the AH.

One last note, IF you are going to get it enchanted, dont do +7DMG. Save your money and do +3, or +5, cause there isnt much of a difference it doesent seem in this one.

Possibly the best feral form DPS mace in the game for droods, it's 60AP and +1% crit makes it a winner. Sure unyielding maul wins when you are the MT on a boss, but otherwise crits = double rage = endless mauls, and cat form can kinda be useful for a change.

It being a good druid mace. I'm not sure if any of you realize but druids can use 2h maces as well. Unless another reward that i dont know about is a better staff im betting loads of druids would use this during bear and cat forms.

The 30STR on this mace translates into 60AP in Feral form. Add +15 STR and you are sitting pretty with a +90AP weapon for kitty or bear.

Once you get the quest Treasure of the Shen'dralar you can solo to the chest by going through DM North to get to the library.

Please don�t add enchants like +15 Strength when comparing two weapons, the enchant can be applied to both weapons.

Did this quest with the following party:
60 warrior (me), 60 rogue, 60 mage, 60 priest and 57 priest.
If you stick to tactics it's not that hard. We only died a few times fighting the 61 elite demon (the dog). He will spawn adds that will attack your healers, so dont forget to keep 1 good dps'er back to protect the healers. If the tank doesn't get enough healing it'll be over soon. The rewards are definately worth the expenses for repairs (for warriors). I really like that mace :) and those other rewards are not bad either. Good luck to everyone who wants to complete it.

Funny Stuff, after we had killed the Prince, 3 of our party members left, leaving just me and a Warlock. The Warlock sacrificed himself to a group of mobs so I could get by and turn in the quest. God bless that guy.

Quest reward for completing the western instance, not the northern.

This was a reward from completing the North Instance in DM. NPC gives quest.... "The Maddness must Stop" is the name of quest I belive. Also give 10k exp

I used this post on thottbot from Havard and it really helped me completing this quest.

This is on the left (west) side.

When you enter the left portal, you'll be in a courtyard with loads of treants, and a bunch of arcane elementals in the center. Make your way around the courtyard, to the side opposite from where you zoned in. Keep going, and you now should see a big Ancient (tree) boss ahead and below, called Tendris Warpwood. Don't go down yet. If you are facing the Tendris, head right, and you should see an opening to a room on your level. Go in the room, and up the stairs. Once you're up the stairs, turn hard left (U-turn), and go past the arcane elementals and skeletons. Just after the skeletons, the quest giver is on the right. She's a ghost of a Night Elf.

Add: When u killed both bosses, return to the ghost and u get the xp. After that, return to the place where u killed the prince and under the stairs u will see a big crate. Click on it and claim ur reward :)
