This item was nerfed after a bunch of people from the PvP venture QQ'd because it stacked with other shrinking effect making the Warsong Gulch flag nearly invisible to the general player. Gnomes where the size of a large flee.

Blizzard nerfed fun. The best combo of all had to be a gnome warlock on his mount, noggenfogger + world enlarger stack. I never got to do it on my epic mount :(

You can use this to shrink yourself even more during the holidays, if you go to the zepplin tower outside the Gates of Orgrimmar, there is a machine that will polymorph you into a sort of Santa Gnome, which makes a horde person pretty tiny, then you use the World Enlarger, and you become as tall as a Taurens foot/hoof.

2 questions about this:

1. Does it reduce aggro radius?

2. Does it make you travel more slowly?

Two of my friends, a rogue and a druid, have been stealthing into BRD to Lord Incendius. They use the Shadowforge Key, and stealth by like 4 sets of mobs directly to the boss.

I was just thinking that, as a mage, it would be nice to be able to shrink myself and 'sneak' by the mobs myself, to tag along with them. 5 minutes is a good long time, but if I still pick up aggro, or it takes me an hour to walk down the hall, it wouldn't be worth it.

What about when it's stacked with the shrink-ray....same two questions about aggro and travel.

I think that this wins, not because it's extremely useful, but because it's fun. I was laughing for quite a bit when I used the World Enlarger in conjunction with Dartol's Rod of Transformation to appear as a tiny fulborg with a Gnomish Battle Chicken, Arcanite Dragonling and Mechanical Squirrel. Together, the 4 of us were ... FREAKS OF NATURE!

Running around IF AH was lots of fun. Screen shots to appear later.

I would like to see somebody stack enlarging things, preferable a tauren. Here is a few hints:

There is a quest in felwood/winterspring that will enable you to loot winterfall firewater from furblogs, it makes you a bit bigger

Alchemists can make a potion (some thing with "strenght") that increase strenght and size

During hallowen, eating a pumpkin can turn you big and orange.

If you wanna go REALLY extreme, go fight Khel'Thuzad, he's mindcontroll will increase size and dmg done by 400% (i think)

havent bothered to try out any of this myself, would be funny thou to see a pic of a tauren doing it( you may skip the Khel'Thuzad part thou :P )

the quest south of org where you can voodoo can get enlarged + firewater or pot + bloodlust + kodo mount = supper camp the mail box in org... but the only thing is the BL last 45sec? pot lasts 2 mins and the voodoo buff lasts 5 mins... so you get voodoo hearth to org get out side of the inn (if you take all buffs inside the inn youll get stuck in there) take the pot or firewater then get the shammy to pop bloodlust... now you are to big to even get in a building for about 2 mins... but you get a bunch of wtfs from lowbs

yea but they really should make growth and shrink effects stackable. It isn't like they really needed a nerf so that they wouldn't stack
besides its just for fun.

Gnomes + world enlarger + nog + shrik rayed = impossable to click on gnome. BTW look at there feet move when they run! no1 can pump feet that fast but gnomes!

Theres no advantage to shrinking during pvp....its called "Target nearest enemy" The tab button works wonders. Gnomes taste like frog legs to me...weird o.O

Question: Does a nametag shrink too? As AotB and this would make you very hard to locate if say you hid in a bush. but a large red sign above your head would kinda give the game away.

anyways if i had a screenshot i'd show u this but i used to use this with a nogginfoggin elixer and a deviate fish and became smaller than ever! i did that in wsg and arena chest to get flag and loot the chest no1 could target me! it was fun whil it lasted :'( if ny1 has a screenshot of last patch with all 3 can u plz post it so others can see the punyness?

Even if you can't just drop Goblin/Gnomish Engineering and go Gnomish/Goblin, by the time you get to the point where you'd want to change, you could probably drop Engineering alltogether and start over to get the other Engineering close to where you were in a day.

Shrinks you to about 20% your normal size, that's all. Real funny though, works with mounts.

ok besides shrinking you to be half your size does it have any other effect like decreased hit points on anyone else? or does it turn you blue and give you a tail and turns the ironforge king into Pappa smurf?
i want to buy the schematic and make one but for the selling price of 100 gold on bloodhoof i gotta knowwhat exactly it does anyone got more details? would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks.

I'm a great fan of this. Although keep in mind: I'll build fireworks over a gun any day.

I got Engineering for skills, exactly like this. Sure, some of the items 'fit inside the box', but a lot are very weird.

They usualy do have uses, as someone mentioned, PVP, but it has a 10/10 cool factor as well.

So if it NEEDS a practical. use, although I would discourage you from Engineering (although that may be to late), I also would discourage you for trying to get this item.

World Enlarger does NOT work in combat. As soon as you're or start attacking, the effect dissapears.

There's a lot of confusion about this currently. There are basically four types of items that can be made by engineers:

BoE items that can be used by any engineer and traded.
BoP items that can be crafted by a specific specialization, but used by any engineer
Items that require a specific specialization to use.
BoP items that can be crafted by an engineer, but can be used even after engineering is dropped

Gnomish Engineering allows you to craft these items:

If your intent is to switch to Goblin after crafting all the goodies (by dropping and re-leveling Engineering), you should probably craft all of these items, but you must craft Gnomish Goggles, Gnomish Battle Chicken, Gnomish Death Ray, and Lil' Smoky (these are BoP) or you will lose access to these items permanently (unless you drop and re-level gnomish engineering again.

Ultrasafe Transporter: Gadgetzan and World Enlarger cannot be used by a non-gnomish engineer, so you can skip crafting these if you're planning on switching.

NOTE: Gnomish Death Ray doesn't require Engineering to use, so technically, you could level Engineering to craft this item, and drop it and still be able to use it.
